Two more Hollywood beauties are going to support "New Year's Eve". According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Jessica Biel and Sofia Vergara are currently in talks to join the cast ensemble of the movie, which is set to start production later this month in New York.

Biel, who has worked together with Garry Marshall in "Valentine's Day", is said to portray a pregnant woman who, along with her husband, tries to win a cash prize given by a hospital to the couple who is first to give birth on New Year's Day. She was last seen in "The A-Team".

Shakira is currently preparing "Sale El Sol" music video as her next treatment. Ahead of the premiere, a short snippet is offered, featuring the Colombian singer performing with a full band in a snowy forest, running out of a labyrinth and meeting the sun at the end of the long path.

The sneak peek is obtained from the Christmas campaign for wine company Freixenet which was filmed in Spain. For her appearance in the ad, Freixenet will be donating 500,000 euros to her charity project Pies Descalzos Foundation. The money will be used to build two schools, one in Haiti and the other in her native Colombia.

Emma Stone has kicked off the principal photography of "Spider-Man" reboot and she was spotted on the set in Los Angeles on Wednesday, December 8. Playing Gwen Stacy, the love interest of main character Peter Parker, the young actress was pictured shooting a funeral scene with fake rain in front of a cathedral, donning a black coat matched with leather gloves.

Stone specially dyed her hair blonde to film the upcoming superhero movie. The 22-year-old beauty had sported red locks for quite a long time although her natural hair color is indeed blonde. "Today I went and did hair tests, because I have blonde hair now since Gwen has blonde hair. Boxer Manny Pacquiao has hit back at allegations he reneged on a multi-million dollar record contract - accusing music executives of "envy". The Filipino sportsman is said to have made an agreement with bosses at RBM Group International in 2009 to record 12 tracks.

Bosses at the music company took legal action at Los Angeles County Superior Court in November accusing the boxer of failing to deliver the material. The lawsuit added that he left the company $200,000 out of pocket and caused it to lose out on profits of $10 million.

Director Tim Burton was left in agony over the weekend - he's suffering from painful kidney stones. The "Alice in Wonderland" filmmaker missed his longterm partner Helena Bonham Carter's Best Supporting Actress win at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs) on Sunday, December 5.

The Brit stunned the audience by explaining Burton's absence, revealing he was at home dealing with the painful procedure of passing the stones. NBC has prepared a lengthy preview of "Perfect Couples" which stars Olivia Munn, Hayes MacArthur, and Mary Elizabeth Ellis among others. Over four minutes, the sneak peek begins with how the women in the three couples take up the space in bed and how different the men handle the situation.

Munn and the rest of the cast also gave an insight to the comedy, saying it is so familiar that it feels like a page ripped from Dear Diary. Set to premiere January 20, "Perfect Couples" depicts the misadventures of three engaging couples as they struggle to find out what makes the ideal relationship and how to maintain it through humorous trial-and-error.

A music video for Michael Jackson's first official posthumous single "Hold My Hand" has finally arrived in full. Featuring Akon, it is filled with images of people celebrating the legacy of the late King of Pop. Inserted among the tribute is old footage of Michael during the past years.

The video is directed by Mark Pellington and was filmed in California. "The video is a tribute to all that Michael stands for -- life, in all its permutations...love, and its power.... A video of memory, healing and joy," the director said in a statement.

"The Social Network" star Armie Hammer is in talks to star opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Clint Eastwood's upcoming movie "J. Edgar", according to a U.S. report.

"Titanic" actor DiCaprio has signed up to play lead character J. Edgar Hoover in the biopic about the controversial former FBI director. According to EW.com, Hammer is now holding discussions to join the project as lawyer-turned-FBI agent Clyde Tolson, the man rumored to be Hoover's lover.

Young Jeezy's manager has shot down rumours the rapper was arrested during a weekend trip to the Bahamas, insisting the reports are "not true". The hip-hop star was alleged to have been taken into custody by police on Saturday, December 4 after an incident in New Providence, where he was due to perform a concert.

Local newspaper The Tribune claims Jeezy was arrested and taken to Wulff Road station, although no reason was given for the rumored detainment. Superintendent Ashton Greenslade told the publication, "He was here with us a short while. He passed through the station briefly on Saturday. Ridley Scott's "Alien" prequel reportedly has a title that is far from resembling the original film. Per New York Magazine's Vulture, the project is called "Paradise" and two parts of the back-to-back film are not pushed back to 2013 and 2014 as recently rumored.

Police also believe Smith, who had a long criminal record, acted alone and may have shot the publicist while riding a bike. Sgt. Publicker says, "It was a random act of violence, more a robbery gone bad."

Johnny Wright, the man responsible for the success of Jonas Brothers, New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and Britney Spears, is looking for fresh faces to be the next global pop sensation group. The talent search will go online in a 21-episode webseries dubbed "On the Spot: Johnny Wright's Quest for the Next Pop Sensation".

Few days before unleashing a trailer for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides", Walt Disney Pictures has given away the first stills from the movie. Debuted by USA Today, one of the photos features Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow being dragged by two men in uniforms. The other image has the eccentric pirate and Penelope Cruz's Angelica soaking on a swamp.

This fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film begins as Sparrow is ordered by King George II (Richard Griffiths) to seek the Fountain of Youth. He then recruits Geoffrey Rush's Barbossa, his old nemesis, to join the mission. Along the way, he will meet a friendly mermaid (Astrid Berges-Frisbey) and be tempted by a wicked former flame, Angelica, and her sadistic father, Ian McShane's Blackbeard.

Troubled pop star Adam Ant is bouncing back from his recent health woes - he's hitting the road for a series of concerts. The "Prince Charming" hitmaker, real name Stuart Goddard, was reportedly sectioned in May, just a week after he performed a shambolic, expletive-strewn show at a church in south England.

But the '80s new wave rocker has recovered from his recent setback and has announced two gigs in London later this month. Hugh Jackman has been taking tips from former wrestler Dwayne Johnson as he struggles to bulk up for his latest "Wolverine" movie. The Australian actor is bringing his "X-Men" character back for a second solo outing and director Darren Aronofsky has ordered him to hit the gym and make sure he is even more muscled for the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" sequel.

Jackman admits he's finding it tough to put on 25 pounds of muscle for the role as the clawed mutant before filming begins early next year, so he called The Rock for advice. He tells EW.com, "(Twenty five pounds) is more than I ever have (put on) for the role. It's not easy for me. Because I'm actually quite long and lean. I had a chat with Dwayne Johnson, who did 25 pounds for his movie (Faster). I rang him up and was like, 'Okay, tell me what's going on'."

Actress Busy Philipps' first romantic vacation away since becoming a mother turned into a nightmare when the secluded resort she was holidaying at with her husband was "terrorized" by a wild jaguar. Actress Drea de Matteo is pregnant with her second child. The former "The Sopranos" star is four moths pregnant with fiance Shooter Jennings' baby, according to reports.

A source tells Life & Style magazine, "She's barely showing but is telling close friends and family how excited she is." De Matteo and singer/songwriter Jennings - the son of country legend Waylon Jennings - have a three-year-old daughter called Alabama Gypsyrose.

"Blue Valentine" will be watchable for young audience when it hits limited U.S. theaters on December 31. The drama movie NC-17 rating has been knocked down to R rating following a personal appeal launched by Weinstein Company co-founder Harvey Weinstein to the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).

On December 8, the board decided to overturn the rating after they viewed the film and heard arguments from Weinstein, MPAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Kaltman said. According to Deadline Hollywood, the decision was unanimous.

Since he was snapped last September smooching Jasmine Villegas in a car, Justin Bieber had never talked about the kiss until he sat down with Barbara Walters. "I was kissing her. I was just, I don't know, I was just kissing her," the pint-sized singer blurted out when the host pushed him on that matter.

Writers Guild of America has announced the writers who receive nominations at next year's awards for their work in television. The most nod that one show gets is three, and that number is claimed by "Modern Family", "30 Rock" and "Breaking Bad".

"Modern Family" and "30 Rock", which have won Emmys, will be up against each other in comedy series and have each received two nods for episodic category. Meanwhile, "Breaking Bad" takes a nod in drama field and two additional episodic nominations.

Willow Smith is going to whip her hair with Justin Bieber. The 10-year-old singer who is currently working on her debut album has confirmed on Twitter that she is set to join the Canadian pop idol on the upcoming European leg of his My World tour which is going to begin in March next year.

Willow shared her excitement with her fans, jokingly said about bringing Jaden Smith. "Got news that my big bro @justinbieber invited me on his European Tour in March.so exciting! Jennifer Lopez will be keeping herself busy in 2011 - the superstar has been unveiled as the new face of cosmetics giant L'Oreal Paris. The new "American Idol" judge joins fellow beauties Beyonce Knowles, Eva Longoria and Milla Jovovich as global brand ambassadors and will feature in new advertisements alongside The Fifth Element actress in January 2011.

The L'Oreal job is the latest project for Lopez. She recently signed on as the newest appointed spokesperson for the Boys And Girls Clubs of America, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the organisation's 104-year history, and last month launched her own lifestyle brand with husband Marc Anthony in collaboration with U.S. department store Kohl's.

British actress Carey Mulligan was left disgusted with her appearance after watching her breakthrough movie "An Education", because she was so thin. The rising star landed the role in the acclaimed film after appearing in London's West End in "The Seagull", during which she restricted her diet to soup, breakfast cereal, and salads.

But Mulligan insists she did not enjoy sporting a tiny frame, and admits she was shocked when she could see the outline of her spine when watching the film for the first time. She tells Britain's Elle magazine, "(During The Seagull) I had Weetabix for breakfast, soup for lunch and salad for dinner. 'No, I will not have that glass of wine! Put that pizza away!' It was not fun. I look back and it's really, really not worth depriving yourself. Johnny Depp will always be tickled remembering his time working with Al Pacino on "Donnie Brasco" because the Hollywood great told him the same joke over and over again. The actors filmed the mob thriller together in 1997 and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star admits Pacino's sense of humor made it one of the most memorable shoots of his career - even though it took Depp a while to figure out the gag's punchline.

And for information, his return is possibly for more than a cameo.

Legendary superstar Aretha Franklin has been fighting a secret battle with pancreatic cancer, according to reports. The Queen of Soul's health has been under scrutiny since she revealed last week she had undergone "successful" surgery in a hospital in Detroit, Michigan to treat a mystery ailment.

She refused to share details about the cause of her illness, but thanked fans for their support after the operation on Thursday, December 2. A teenager accused of hacking into computers to steal unreleased songs by stars including Lady GaGa and Justin Timberlake has issued an apology over the scandal. Authorities in Germany launched an official investigation into claims two young men were part of a ring of whizzkids who sent a virus to laptops linked to some of the world's most famous pop singers.

It enabled the cyber-crooks to access files on the machines and download a number of unreleased songs by artists such as GaGa, Timberlake, Rihanna, and Kelly Clarkson. Record company bosses were reportedly forced to put out some albums ahead of the planned release date after the stolen songs were leaked online.

Oprah Winfrey broke down in tears as she opened up about her relationship with best pal Gayle King in a U.S. TV interview, branding her the "mother I never had". The TV queen became visibly emotional while discussing King in a taped chat with broadcaster Barbara Walters, admitting she has relied on her pal for daily support for more than 30 years.

John Lennon's last ever interview was broadcast online on Wednesday, December 8 to mark the 30th anniversary of his death. The Beatles legend gave an in-depth chat to journalists from RKO radio in San Francisco, California at his New York apartment on the afternoon of December 8, 1980.

Just hours after the radio crew left his home, Lennon was gunned down outside by crazed fan Mark Chapman - giving an added poignancy to the interview. The "Imagine" hitmaker passed away 30 years ago on 8 December, 1980 after he was gunned down outside his New York apartment in The Dakota building by deranged fan Mark Chapman.

Ono has marked the date by remembering her happiest moments with the singer - sipping Lennon's favorite tea and laughing like teenagers together. In a post on her Imagine Peace website, she writes, "John and I are in our Dakota kitchen in the middle of the night... 'Yoko, Yoko, you're supposed to first put the tea bags in, and then the hot water.' John took the role of the teamaker, for being English. So I gave up doing it. It was nice to be up in the middle of the night, when there's no sound in the house, and sip the tea John would make."

Demi Lovato's lawyers are seeking to prevent a legal battle with a dancer who accused the Disney star of punching her by offering a financial settlement, according to a new report. Attorneys for the actress/singer are believed to have contacted Alex Welch about agreeing a deal outside of court after she threatened to "pursue litigation" against Lovato for alleged assault.

Lovato is said to have lost her temper and lashed out at Welch in October while they were traveling on a plane, leaving the backing dancer with a black eye and a bruised cheekbone. The 18-year-old star subsequently pulled out of a world tour with the Jonas Brothers to check into rehab for undisclosed "emotional and physical issues".

A representative for Ashley Olsen has dismissed rumors the former child star is set to buy an apartment with her boyfriend Justin Bartha. Blake Lively and Ryan Gosling have reignited a dating rumor between them. Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon are set to reprise their roles in "Thelma & Louise" for a new photoshoot to mark the 20th anniversary of the film's release. The actresses both scored Academy Award nominations for their roles in the 1991 movie, which tells the story of two women who hit the road to escape their troubled lives.

Davis and Sarandon will return to their characters for a special spread for Vanity Fair magazine to celebrate two decades since the film hit cinemas, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six. The pair was reportedly flown out to Florida for the shoot at a mansion in Miami. The issue will be published next year.

Wesley Snipes has dismissed rumors he continues to owe American authorities millions of dollars in back taxes, insisting his bill is fully paid up. The Hollywood actor was convicted of failing to file a tax return in 2008 and is preparing to report to jail this week to begin serving a three-year sentence.

Snipes, who has spent two years fighting the verdict, reportedly failed to hand over a massive $38 million, dating back to 1999, but the Blade star is adamant he has paid back all the money he owed and was never trying to avoid settling the tax bill.

Striking while the iron is hot, James Franco is to make a return to daytime soap "General Hospital" and reprise his role as the serial killer. The actor has twice appeared on the ABC show but he has agreed to do two more episodes which air just in time for his hosting stint at the Oscars.

After giving a drama treatment in "Runaway" mini movie, Kanye West is now moving on to horror in a music video for his star-studded single "Monster". In a short preview of the clip, the rapper is seen lying on the bed with what seems to be two lifeless females. He moves closer to one of them for a kiss and places her hand to the crotch of another body.

Also seen in the disturbing footage are Kanye's featured guests Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj. Captured in separate rooms of a haunting mansion, the three of them have at least one dead body with them. The much-anticipated teaser trailer for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" has just made its way out via Apple. It features Neil Armstrong, whose face is mostly hidden under a helmet, landing on the moon just to find out that humans are not alone in this universe.

The video does not feature any of the movie's lead actors for it highlights the U.S.' historic 1969 mission to the moon with some real old footage from the past used. The scenes shot for the film, meanwhile, follows Armstrong and another astronaut who discover an enormous craft that has crashed. While they believe there is no sign of life inside the ship, the eye of an Autobot begins to light up at the end of the teaser.

Christina Aguilera is the victim of a hacker who broke into her stylist's computer and leaked her semi-nude pictures on Wednesday, December 8. Her rep has released a statement, saying that although Christina is not completely nude in the photos, they were not meant for public viewing.
