Victoria Adams is in talks to help design a luxury hotel in Dubai, after the country's ruler wrote the former Spice Girls a personal email requesting her help with the project, according to a U.K. Report. The Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid al-Maktoum, met the former pop star when she was on vacation in the Gulf in 2009 with her husband, soccer star David Beckham.

He has reportedly approached her about teaming up with fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld to create a new resort, which would be based on the nation's fashion-themed isle Isla Moda. But the star is still considering taking up the role, despite being offered a reported $40 million fee for her input, according to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper.

Teen star Demi Lovato was so "ecstatic" when she met her idol Kelly Clarkson, she asked to hug her three times. The Disney singer/actress has been an avid fan of the "Since U Been Gone" hitmaker since she rose to fame on the first season of "American Idol" in 2002.

Lovato is still in awe of Clarkson for keeping her personal life out of the tabloids and concentrating on her music career. And the "Camp Rock" star wants to follow Clarkson's lead by ensuring she learns from her experiences.

Ben Affleck has chastised his wife Jennifer Garner, after she embarrassed him by revealing he pursued her with a string of seductive emails. Garner, who married the "Pearl Harbor" star in 2005, said in a recent interview with Parade magazine that Affleck had wooed her online, gushing that he's "sexy and kind" and a "very persuasive writer".

But the candid comments left Affleck cringing, because now he is repeatedly fielding questions about his personal emails in interviews. Speaking to Access Hollywood, Affleck says, "I do write e-mails to my wife, that is true. Sounds like the kind of thing that my wife was looking for something to say in the interview and that's what she came up with."

T.I. is facing a copyright infringement lawsuit over his Grammy-award winning track "What You Know". Rapper Motoe Blizzid, real name Nathan Filby, alleges T.I. used parts of his 2004 song Reverence, which was distributed to industry insiders, for his own track.

According to legal documents, obtained by RadarOnline.com, Filby claims the 2006 single has the "same rate of harmonic range" and states the two recordings have "nearly identical instrumental melodic lines in terms of pitch, shape, and rhythm."

Courteney Cox's husband David Arquette has defended the former "Friends" star after a New York Times blogger made jibes about her weight. The actor, who married his "Scream" co-star in 1999, was outraged when a fashion pundit poked fun at the actress and her pal Jennifer Aniston at the recent Golden Globe Awards, suggesting both had "put on a little weight."

Arquette has blasted the writer, insisting weight should never be an issue, and now he's calling for all bloggers to be kinder. He tells FoxNews.com, "Writing articles about people that put on weight is just wasting space for real news. And who really cares? I love round people, I love skinny people. I love people in general; we've got to get past labels and stop being so critical about everything."

Top Italian fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana had to think twice before approaching Madonna and asking her to be the new face of their luxury label, because they feared a business deal would sour their friendship.

Madonna was unveiled as the spokesmodel for Dolce & Gabbana's spring/summer 2010 campaign in 2009 when black and white shots of the pop superstar, taken by noted photographer Steven Klein, hit the Internet, and the celebrated designers admit they hesitated at the thought of working with the "Material Girl".

Ozzy Osbourne has wrecked fans' hopes for another Black Sabbath reunion, insisting the group is like an ex-girlfriend he no longer wants to date. The rocker refuses to rule out another tour with his old bandmates, but insists it isn't something he's planning for the immediate future.

Osbourne, who is currently embroiled in a copyright battle with Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, says, "I'm not gonna say I've written it (reunion) out forever, but right now I don't think there is any chance. But who knows what the future holds for me? If it's my destiny, fine."

Top designer Alexander McQueen has hired Tyra Banks' protege as the face of his spring/summer 2011 collection. Nicole Fox, who won Bank's reality contest "America's Next Top Model" in 2009, will feature on print and multi-media ads for the Brit.

She's the first Top Model winner to land an international campaign. Fox tells WENN, "It seems Tyra's risk is paying off." The model, who admires Kate Moss, now has her sights set on working with high fashion photographer Steven Meisel: "If I ever modeled for him, I'd be blown away."

Some brand new clips to "Dear John" have been made available for viewing pleasure. The first video shows Amanda Seyfried being introduced to Channing Tatum's on-screen father. The other fresh snippet which was debuted by Hulu, meanwhile, features the couple who has to bid their farewell.

"Dear John" follows young soldier John Tyree and Savannah Curtis, a gorgeous but idealistic college student. When he comes home on leave, John meets Savannah who is having her spring vacation and later falls in love with her.

Actor Bill Murray was hopping around on a crutch at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, January 24, after injuring himself in a ski accident. The "Lost In Translation" star was in so much pain from his injured leg, he had to sit and cool down his knee with a bucket full of ice at the film event in Utah, according to RadarOnline.com.

A source tells the website, "He couldn't move very well because of his leg brace. But he was shimmying as best as he could... He was suddenly sitting down with the Svedka ice bucket on his lap. One guy went up and asked him if he was the guardian of the ice, and Bill laughed and said it was to cool down his knee, which was acting up."

"Bonanza" and "Trapper John, M.D." star Pernell Roberts has died at his home in California, aged81. The Georgia native, who played Adam Cartwright in "Bonanza", started his acting career onstage in New York.

He moved to Hollywood and kicked off a film career opposite Sophia Loren in "Desire Under The Elms" in 1958. But Roberts really made his name on TV, appearing in hit shows like "The Rockford Files", "The Streets of San Francisco", "Baretta", "The Six Million Dollar Man", "Cannon", "Ironside" and "Mission: Impossible".

Dennis Hopper's fifth wife has accused the star of allegedly threatening to kill her and smoking pot in front of their six-year-old daughter, according to legal papers. The 73-year-old actor filed for divorce from Victoria Duffy, citing irreconcilable differences, earlier this month.

Victoria, who has been married to the actor since 1996, is fighting for custody of their daughter, Galen, as well as child and spousal support. And, in documents obtained by The Daily Beast, Victoria claims Hopper once "threatened to 'end' (Victoria) if (she) ever tried to leave him". She also accuses the "Easy Rider" star of leaving loaded weapons within reach of their six year old.

Actor Gary Coleman has spoken out after his release from a Utah jail, following his arrest for allegedly attacking his wife Shannon. The former child star was arrested and jailed on Sunday, January 24 after police were called to his home, but no criminal charges were filed.

Upon arriving at his home, police discovered a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant for Coleman from an unrelated incident and took him into custody. Coleman has now posted $1,725 bail and was released on Monday.

Mel Gibson temporarily quit acting after starring in "Signs"- because he felt like a "ham-fisted dinosaur" on the set of M. Night Shyamalan's 2002 movie. The movie star has spent eight years refusing to step in front of the camera because he had such an unpleasant experience making "Signs".

Gibson tells the Los Angeles Times that Shyamalan made him realize he needed to take a break to hone his craft. He explains, "I felt ham-fisted. He (Shyamalan) told me I was just doing too much. I looked around... and I was the oldest guy on the set and I felt like the least sophisticated. I decided I needed to rethink everything."

P. Diddy's Hip-Hop group Dirty Money have re-worked their single "Angels" and now they are premiering its accompanying music video. At the beginning of the video, the band's female personnel Kalenna and Dawn Richard are counting cash, while Diddy is seen getting down on his knees and praying.

"Angels" remix adds additional verses from Rick Ross who also appears in the video. Diddy recently praised the "Maybach Music" rapper for his contribution on the song, comparing him to late performer Notorious B.I.G. whose vocal can be heard on the original version of the track.

A top official at the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has slammed controversial rapper Kanye West as a "pathetic idiot" for donning a fur coat during Men's Fashion Week in Paris, France. The "Stronger" hitmaker and his model girlfriend Amber Rose showed off floor-length lynx pelts during the annual event last week, January 22, - but their fashion choices have made them prime targets for PETA campaigners.

PETA Vice President Dan Matthews says, "Kanye can't help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an awards show or a fashion show." He adds, "He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo."

Singer Joss Stone is baffled by the reaction of her critics in the U.K. - because she feels "hated" by a large section of the British public. The "You Had Me" hitmaker has been slammed for her quirky dress sense and received a barrage of harsh comments when she affected a fake American accent onstage at the 2007 Brit Awards.

But the singer can't understand why she garners such negative attention from her fellow Brits. She tells the Mail on Sunday's Live magazine, "A lot of people in this country hate me. I seem to annoy people. I'm always on the worst-dressed lists and I just seem to get people very angry."

Danny Gokey has a music video coming out. Filmed to support his debut single "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me", it follows the singer who finished third at the "American Idol" season 8 as he is singing the song in an abandoned warehouse.

"My Best Days Are Ahead of Me" is picked up as the first single for Danny's forthcoming RCA debut album "My Best Days" which is aimed for March 2 U.S. release. It replaces song "It's Only" which was previously unveiled prior to the single.

It is now confirmed that Chelsea Handler and boyfriend of four years Ted Harbert are no longer together. A rep of E!, the network where she hosts "Chelsea Lately", has released a statement to Us Magazine, saying that the couple no longer lives under the same roof.

"The couple is no longer residing together. Ted has nothing but the highest regard for Chelsea both personally and professionally," the rep said. Ted in fact is the President and CEO of Comcast, the company that owns E!.

A picture which shows Kourtney Kardashian looking thinner after only seven days from delivering her first baby turns out to be fake. Kourtney revealed that the photo of her holding her first baby has been edited by OK! Magazine.

To WWD.com, the 30-year-old mother said, "They doctored and Photoshopped my body to make it look like I have already lost all the weight, which I have not." She went to reveal that the weekly did not have exclusive interview with her, stating she as well as her friends and stepfather Bruce Jenner never spoke to the magazine.

Several on set pictures from "Knight & Day" which stars Tom Cruise have been found. Being photographed on the shooting location in Los Angeles, California on Monday, January 25, the lead actor was seen doing his own risky stunts from running next to a truck to jumping and hanging on a pole.

Also being pictured on the film's set was Cameron Diaz, who donned a white shirt matched with jeans and boots. However, the actress apparently does not have scenes which are as intense as Cruise's since she was just captured standing when her co-star did all the actions.

Morgan, Jeff and Lester do some recon work to learn more about Hannah. Creators Josh Schwartz said in a press conference that Hannah's arrival at the store will set a few hearts aflutter, not just Chuck's.

Rockers MGMT channeled Kanye West and Lady GaGa for their second album - as they tried to imagine what life is like for superstars in the spotlight. The "Time To Pretend" hitmakers won over fans and critics alike with their 2007 debut "Oracular Spectacular", and the New York duo admits they struggled to come to terms with their worldwide success.

But when it came time to write a follow-up album, MGMT turned to rapper West and pop sensation GaGa as they wrote about their own rising levels of fame. MGMT's Andrew VanWyngarden tells Spin.com, "(After our debut) we were a group of guys in their mid-20s touring around the world and of course we are going to party. But after a while we all learned that you can't just keep doing that over and over, and the new record addresses those issues."

A woman accused of hitting Leonardo DiCaprio in the face with a glass during a Hollywood party in 2005 will be extradited from Canada to the U.S. to face charges. Former model Aretha Wilson attended a party at the Hollywood Hills home of Paris Hilton's ex Rick Salomon when she allegedly slashed the actor's face.

According to police reports, the "Romeo + Juliet" and "Titanic" star needed 17 stitches to his face and ear. Wilson, 39, was arrested in Los Angeles and charged with assault with a deadly weapon but fled the country before sentencing.

Folk rocker-turned-artist Bob Dylan is to treat fans in Europe to an exhibition of his paintings. The "Blowin' In The Wind" hitmaker has spent his downtime from music creating impressionistic drawings for years.

And now he's agreed to show a dozen acrylic paintings in a traveling exhibition dubbed Bob Dylan on Canvas. The works, based on drawings from his Drawn Blank Series in the 1990s, will be the first of Dylan's canvas pieces to be exhibited. Bob Dylan on Canvas is scheduled to open on February 13 at the Halcyon Gallery in London and will travel to the National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen in September.

Involved in the making of Cheryl Cole's first U.S. solo album, Ryan Tedder wants to give the song he wrote for Alicia Keys to the Girls Aloud singer. "There's a song I did with Alicia Keys that was finished too late for her album and I'm convinced it's the perfect song for Cheryl Cole," he told Digital Spy.

"I'm desperately trying to get the demo out of her label's grasp so I can play it for Cheryl," the frontman of OneRepublic explained further. "It's a ballad in my sense, so it's got massive drums and it really moves, and it'll give you goosebumps when you hear it."

Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is lending his support to top London soccer club Arsenal - he's offered the players an all-expenses paid trip to New York if they win a trophy this season. The rapper previously confessed his love for the team and was sent VIP tickets to an Arsenal game the last time he visited the British capital.

And he is hoping to return the favor by flying the team to his native city - as an incentive for them to win games. Jay-Z says, "I'd like to thank the club. I'm glad Arsenal now know it's them I support. I want them to party in New York, my city. I will look after them and make sure that they have some amazing nights out."

After reportedly a lengthy on- and off- negotiations, Forest Whitaker is in final stages to star in a spin-off to "Criminal Minds". His character, named Cooper, will be introduced in an episode of "Criminal Minds" later this season and go on headlining a new unit which makes the basis of the not-yet-titled project.

Cooper is described as a dynamic, loyal, charming, mysterious squad leader who also becomes a fatherly figure to the team members. Together with other profilers, Cooper works outside FBI bureaucracy. He is actually a former member of Behavioral Unit but he has been off the grid in the past eight years, leaving questions and mystery surrounding his absence.

Rick Ross has recorded a sequel to his song "Mafia Music" with Chrisette Michele providing additional verses on the hook. In support of the track, he then films a music video with the help from DJ Khaled and Triple C as cameos in addition to Chrisette.

"Mafia Music 2" is confirmed to appear in Rick's next studio album "Teflon Don". From a behind-the-scene footage which also features commentary from the four musicians, it is revealed that the accompanying video will explore beautiful scenery on the beach.

Elton John will follow in the footsteps of opera greats Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo when he performs at the archaeological site of Chichen Itza in Mexico in late 2010. The "Rocket Man: Number Ones" will be taking to the stage at the Mayan ruins on April 3, singing in the same spot as Pavarotti did in 1997 and Domingo in 2008. British soprano Sarah Brightman also performed at the historical attraction in 2009.

Local reports in December 2009 suggested the concert could be derailed as a result of the recent excavations at the foot of El Castillo, but Yucatan state officials have confirmed the show will go ahead as planned as the stage will be set on the opposite side of the great pyramid.

It has been known that Kristen Stewart plays a stripper in "Welcome to the Rileys" though it cannot be seen in a recently released clip from the movie. However, the contributors to Trailer Park Movies's MySpace Blog who had a chance to watch the premiere of the film at 2010 Sundance Film Festival reported that the actress has shown off a little bit of her skin while doing a racy scene.

British soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae refused to listen to music or spend any time alone for a year after her husband's tragic death in 2008. The "Put Your Records On" hitmaker was devastated when 31-year-old saxophonist Jason Rae was found dead in an apartment in Leeds, England, with traces of cocaine and ecstasy in his blood.

The singer shied away from the spotlight and admits she was so overwhelmed by her grief behind closed doors that she couldn't pick up her guitar, write or listen to music without wanting to "destroy" everything in her home. She explains, "I didn't hear anything. Nothing came in. It's hard to explain. (All I wanted to do) was destroy things. I felt so much had sort of been... destroyed. I guess I can't lie about stuff, so there it is. You can't play it down. I felt extremely, extremely destructive, and I've never felt that before."

The artist who designed the cover of Shakira's album "She Wolf" has filed suit against the pop star's label Sony - alleging company bosses owe him $64,000. Art director Lee Swillingham signed a $63,000 contract with the company in Spring 2009 for his services and was paid half the sum up front, reports the New York Post.

According to court documents, he earned $5,000 a day for extra work, totaling an additional $36,000. The contract included a clause stating Sony owes nothing if the record label isn't pleased with the final project.

Actress Lucy Lawless is calling on movie bosses to adapt "Xena: Warrior Princess" for the big screen - because she fears fans will lose interest in the fantasy series if it's revived for TV. The New Zealand-born star is best known for playing the warrior pin-up in the cult program, which she is desperate to see brought back to life as a feature film.

She tells Out.com, "I love that character. I would do it if it was a movie. I doubt I would do it as a TV series. I can't see how you would make it fresh."

Michael Lynche, a contestant of "American Idol" from St. Petersburg, has to swallow the bitter pill of early elimination since rumor has it, he is disqualified from the Top 24. Lynche is removed from the competition because his father confirmed to a Tampa Bay paper that his son has made it to the Top 24.

Lynche, who called himself Big Mike during the audition, is reportedly a favorite in Hollywood. His name actually has appeared on Joe's Place blog which accurately leaked the names who entered the Top 24 or 36 in previous years. But his father, Marque Sr., went on confirming it to St. Petersburg Times.

Earlier this week, Nicole Scherzinger and Jay Sean broadcast on Ustream live from Miami. Without explaining what they are working on in the state, the two promise something big is set to happen. Rumor has it, they are crafting a joint track for Nicole's forthcoming solo studio album "Her Name Is Nicole".

In addition to giving a tease on the duet, The Pussycat Dolls' lead singer and the U.K. singer take fans for a tour in The Hit Factory studios where big stars like Mariah Carey recorded their hit singles. Teen actress Saoirse Ronan has quit a boarding school in Ireland - blaming some of her teachers for giving her a "hard time" over her movie success. But the 15 year old is already discovering the downsides of fame - she has walked away from school over her teachers' and fellow pupils' negative attitudes towards her. Lionsgate Films has shared another sneak peek to "From Paris with Love" by releasing a new age-restricted clip. Coming out via Trailer Park Movies's MySpace Blog, the video provides a preview to Jonathan Rhys-Meyers who is adamant that he will not kill anyone. In contrary, his new partner John Travolta has no hesitation to shoot his enemies.

In this movie, Rhys-Meyers plays James Reese, a low-ranking intelligence operative working in the office of the U.S. Ambassador in France. One day, he gets more than what he bargained for when he teams up with high-ranking U.S. agent Charlie Wax, portrayed by Travolta, who's been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack.

Prison drama "A Prophet" is leading the way at France's most prestigious prize-giving ceremony - garnering a massive 13 nominations at the upcoming Cesar Awards. The film leads categories including Best Picture and Best Director, for Jacques Audiard, as well as garnering nods for its star Tahar Rahim, who is up for Best Actor and Best Newcomer.

Philippe Lioret's immigrant drama "Welcome" scored nine nominations and will go up against "A Prophet" in the Best Picture category, and Vincent Lindon will compete with Rahim for the Best Actor prize. Fashion biopic "Coco Before Chanel" also received five nods, with Audrey Tautou named in the Best Actress category.

P. Diddy spared no expense for his son's 16th birthday - he handed the teen a brand new sportscar and a cheque for $10,000 at a lavish bash on Saturday, January 23. The rapper hosted a red carpet party for his son Justin Dior and 1,000 pals at New York City's M2 Ultralounge nightclub, and invited MTV cameras to film the event for the network's reality series "My Super Sweet 16", about teenagers' over-the-top birthday celebrations.

The event also featured performances from Diddy's superstar friends, including Fabolous, Lil' Kim and Juelz Santana. Guests were asked to give donations to the relief effort in earthquake-devastated Haiti in lieu of gifts - but the hip-hop star ensured his son had a night to remember after handing him the keys to a brand new silver Maybach, worth $360,000, which was parked outside the venue.

Matt Grant from "The Bachelor" fame is coming back to television through a new reality show titled "Pimp My Bride". The contestant of "Bachelor" season 12 confirmed to Us Magazine on Saturday, January 23 that the new show is "an organic follow-up to the Bachelor."

For one thing, the show is a project that the British financier wrote himself after his stint as bachelor ended in 2008. "It's about the groom being in control of the wedding," he said, indicating that he won't be in front of the camera. The show is picked up by Warner Bros but there is no network or premiere date yet.

While filmmakers have been busy looking for actors of "The Hobbit", they will not have to hold an audition if they plan to feature Legolas in the upcoming adventure movie. Orlando Bloom, who has played the character in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, has said that he would love to reprise the Elf archer if Peter Jackson wanted him for his new film.

Being interviewed by MTV at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, the English actor revealed that he has approached producer Peter Jackson about possibly returning for "The Hobbit". "I shot an e-mail to Pete and I said, 'You know, if you want me to don the blonde wig and pointy ears again, I'd be honored to do it'," Orlando admitted. "He said, 'Well, we'll see.' They're very, very hush-hush."

Contrary to previous prediction which suggested Susan Boyle would return to the top slot of Billboard Hot 200, "Hope for Haiti" star-studded compilation album is estimated to rule the chart next week. The charity effort is suggested to easily pull in around 150,000 downloads.

This album will become the first digital-only album to rule the U.S. albums chart since its nearly 54-year history. It is slated to hit the online stores on January 27, featuring 20 singles performed by Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Jay-Z among others.

American soap star James Mitchell has died following complications from pneumonia. The actor, who became known for his role as ruthless tycoon Palmer Cortland on longrunning U.S. TV series "All My Children", passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday, January 22 at the age of 89.

His partner Albert Wolsky confirms Mitchell had been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for years and was recently hospitalized after experiencing problems when he was struck down with pneumonia. Mitchell joined the popular soap opera in 1979 and stepped down as a series regular in 2008. However, he returned to the small screen in early January to help the cast and crew celebrate its 40th anniversary episode.

Jane Lynch will walk down the aisle with her partner, Dr. Lara Embry this spring. The "Glee" actress told New York Times' Carpetbagger blog during 67th Annual Golden Globes on Sunday, January 17 that she has a plan to marry her girlfriend in May, about one year after they met for the first time.

The lesbian couple met at a National Center for Lesbian Rights event in May 2009. Embry was the recipient of the organization's Justice Award while Lynch was in attendance to introduce "The L Word" creator Ilene Chaiken as the recipient of Voice and Visibility Award.

The shortlist of this year's nominations at the Shockwaves NME Awards have been revealed on Monday, January 25 during a launch party at the London Tabernacle with a live performance from The Maccabees. Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian lead the pack with six nods each.

The two bands are up against each other for Best British Band, Best Live Band, Best Track, Best Video, Giving It Back Award and Best Album. While Kasabian receive their sixth nods in Best Album Artwork, Arctic Monkeys get their last gongs in Worst Album for their latest studio album "Humbug".

The latest name tossed in as the potential judge of U.S. version of "The X Factor" is Beyonce Knowles. The diva allegedly is on top of Simon Cowell's list beside Paula Abdul. The deal is not yet sealed but Beyonce will be there "in some form".

If the report from News of the World turns out to be true, Beyonce will get a warm-up session on the U.K. version first. Simon reportedly has hired her to replace Dannii Minogue when the original judge takes a maternity leave in July.

Bernard Butler has wished his former Suede bandmates good luck as they launch a comeback - after they neglected to ask him to join their reunion. The "Animal Nitrate" hitmakers announced in early January they'll soon be reforming for a charity gig in the U.K. - but Butler's name was excluded from the announcement line-up in favor of guitarist Richard Oakes.

Founder member Butler, who was replaced by Oakes when he quit Suede in 1994, insists he was never approached to play at the charity concert after previously branding Britpop reunions "embarrassing". He said in 2009, "There's an awful lot of Britpop reunions going on at the moment and I find it embarrassing personally."

Mick Jagger is giving health tips to singer Joss Stone - he keeps ordering her to quit smoking. The Rolling Stones frontman is pals with the "You Had Me" hitmaker and frequently expresses his concern over her tobacco habit, telling her off when she is snapped with a cigarette.

The former hellraising rocker advises her to pour honey in hot drinks for the sake of her voice - but goes "mental" over her smoking. Stone tells Britain's Mail on Sunday Live magazine, "Mick Jagger is always having a go at me for smoking. I've known him and the rest of the band for years now and I love them."

Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly moving forward with their plan to make a reboot of "Mortal Kombat" film franchise. Bloody Digusting has just learned that the studio has been in talks with Oren Uziel to pen the script of the forthcoming movie. Uziel's screenplay called "Shimmer Lake" once appeared on the 2009 black list, which is a compendium of the year's best unproduced scripts.

There has no been further information on the progress of the remake. However, back in 2007, there were words that a reboot treatment is planned for "Mortal Kombat" under the title of "Mortal Kombat: Devastation". At the time, it was stressed that the new movie won't be "a prequel, sequel, or in any form be related to the previous 2 movie", but will be made in the vein of "Batman Begins".

Anjelica Huston was honored in Los Angeles over the weekend, January 23-24, with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Oscar-winner was on hand to watch as the tribute was unveiled in front of a crowd of her friends and family.

When he's on duty on the red carpet of 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, Adam Lambert promises that he would be honest in criticizing the arriving celebrities' fashion but won't be mean about it. The "American Idol" alum who has a thing with fashion has been tapped to be the fashion correspondent of ET when the event takes place on January 31.

"I'll be ok," he rated himself as a fashion police. "I love clothes, I love fashion. I pay attention to that stuff. I'm a big fan of most of the people that will be there." How far he would go giving opinion, Adam said, "I'm overly honest, so that will probably show through. I won't be mean though. I'm not mean." On the red carpet, Adam will be accompanied by ET's Kevin Frazier.

Legendary German rockers Scorpions are splitting up after 40 years. The "Wind of Change" hitmakers announced on their website that they have decided to walk away from the music industry while they are "on a high note."

But fans of the band will get their chance to say goodbye - the rockers are embarking on a two-year farewell tour before hanging up their leather jackets. A statement on the band's website reads, "It was always our pleasure, our purpose in life, our passion and we were fortunate enough to make music for you - whether it was live on stage or in the studio, creating new songs."

Taylor Momsen is relieved she lost the role of "Hannah Montana" to Miley Cyrus - because she would have struggled to live up to the teen idol ideal. The "Gossip Girl" star was just nine years old when she and Cyrus were selected as two of the final three young actresses in the running for the Disney role.

But now that she's living the rock 'n' roll life with her band The Pretty Reckless, Momsen is grateful she was cut from the auditions for the family-friendly program. Momsen explains, "Honestly, if I'd have ended up as Hannah Montana, I don't know if the show would have gone as well."

Paramount Pictures has released two character posters for upcoming "The Last Airbender". Debuted by Yahoo! Movies, the new images feature Noah Ringer's Aang and Dev Patel's Zuko individually. The one-sheet which has the hero character on it uses sky as its background, while the other one which captures the villainous prince has fire on its background.

In another "The Last Airbender" news, producer Frank Marshall has taken to his Twitter page on Monday, January 25 to share that the upcoming trailer for the movie "will feature all the main characters..." The day before he also wrote, "The AIRBENDER trailer will be about 2 minutes long." It was previously reported the new trailer for this action sci-fi will come out in February.

"How I Met Your Mother" is one of the very first shows that get a guarantee from CBS to be back for another season. The Eye has just renewed the half-hour comedy series starring Neil Patrick Harris for a sixth season which is expected to be debuted this Fall.

"HIMYM" has been a solid Monday night performer for the network beside "Two and a Half Men" and "The Big Bang Theory". Harris has also picked up a Golden Globe nomination this year although he lost it to John Lithgow of "Dexter".

Andy Dick is begging fans to wait to hear his "side" following his arrest on sex charges over the weekend, January 23, according to TV celebrity addiction expert Dr. Drew Pinsky. The "Road Trip" star was detained in Huntington, West Virginia in the early hours of Saturday morning, January 23 and arraigned later that day on two counts of felony sexual abuse.

Dick then turned to Pinsky, who counseled him in 2009 on the reality show "Sober House", to address his fans and ask them not to judge him over the incident without hearing the circumstances. Pinsky wrote on his Twitter.com page on Saturday, January 23, "From Andy at his request: 'There are two sides to every story. Please reserve judgment until you hear mine. Thank you.' - Andy Dick."

In support of her comeback album "I Look to You", Whitney Houston is gearing up to travel across the globe for a world tour. Instead of kicking it off in the United States like many musicians do with their tour, she chooses to start it in Seoul, South Korea on February 6.

After having two live concerts in the country, Whitney will be flying to Japan from February 11 -18 and then heading to Australia from February 24 - March 7. Afterwards, she is going to Europe for a number of shows until June 10.
