Victoria Adams Asked to Design Dubai Luxury Hotel

Victoria Adams is in talks to help design a luxury hotel in Dubai, after the country's ruler wrote the former Spice Girls a personal email requesting her help with the project, according to a U.K. Report. The Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid al-Maktoum, met the former pop star when she was on vacation in the Gulf in 2009 with her husband, soccer star David Beckham.

He has reportedly approached her about teaming up with fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld to create a new resort, which would be based on the nation's fashion-themed isle Isla Moda. But the star is still considering taking up the role, despite being offered a reported $40 million fee for her input, according to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper.

Ben Affleck Responds to His Wife's Confession About His Seductive Emails

Ben Affleck has chastised his wife Jennifer Garner, after she embarrassed him by revealing he pursued her with a string of seductive emails. Garner, who married the "Pearl Harbor" star in 2005, said in a recent interview with Parade magazine that Affleck had wooed her online, gushing that he's "sexy and kind" and a "very persuasive writer".

But the candid comments left Affleck cringing, because now he is repeatedly fielding questions about his personal emails in interviews. Speaking to Access Hollywood, Affleck says, "I do write e-mails to my wife, that is true. Sounds like the kind of thing that my wife was looking for something to say in the interview and that's what she came up with."

T.I. Faces Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

T.I. is facing a copyright infringement lawsuit over his Grammy-award winning track "What You Know". Rapper Motoe Blizzid, real name Nathan Filby, alleges T.I. used parts of his 2004 song Reverence, which was distributed to industry insiders, for his own track.

According to legal documents, obtained by RadarOnline.com, Filby claims the 2006 single has the "same rate of harmonic range" and states the two recordings have "nearly identical instrumental melodic lines in terms of pitch, shape, and rhythm."

A source tells the website, "He couldn't move very well because of his leg brace. But he was shimmying as best as he could... He was suddenly sitting down with the Svedka ice bucket on his lap. One guy went up and asked him if he was the guardian of the ice, and Bill laughed and said it was to cool down his knee, which was acting up."

Dennis Hopper Accused of Threatening to Kill His Estranged Wife

Dennis Hopper's fifth wife has accused the star of allegedly threatening to kill her and smoking pot in front of their six-year-old daughter, according to legal papers. The 73-year-old actor filed for divorce from Victoria Duffy, citing irreconcilable differences, earlier this month.

Victoria, who has been married to the actor since 1996, is fighting for custody of their daughter, Galen, as well as child and spousal support. And, in documents obtained by The Daily Beast, Victoria claims Hopper once "threatened to 'end' (Victoria) if (she) ever tried to leave him". She also accuses the "Easy Rider" star of leaving loaded weapons within reach of their six year old.

Gary Coleman Releases Statement After Jail

Actor Gary Coleman has spoken out after his release from a Utah jail, following his arrest for allegedly attacking his wife Shannon. The former child star was arrested and jailed on Sunday, January 24 after police were called to his home, but no criminal charges were filed.

Upon arriving at his home, police discovered a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant for Coleman from an unrelated incident and took him into custody. Coleman has now posted $1,725 bail and was released on Monday.

Mel Gibson Once Quit Acting After Filming 'Signs'

Mel Gibson temporarily quit acting after starring in "Signs"- because he felt like a "ham-fisted dinosaur" on the set of M. Night Shyamalan's 2002 movie. The movie star has spent eight years refusing to step in front of the camera because he had such an unpleasant experience making "Signs".

Gibson tells the Los Angeles Times that Shyamalan made him realize he needed to take a break to hone his craft. He explains, "I felt ham-fisted. He (Shyamalan) told me I was just doing too much. I looked around... and I was the oldest guy on the set and I felt like the least sophisticated. I decided I needed to rethink everything."

"Angels" remix adds additional verses from Rick Ross who also appears in the video. Diddy recently praised the "Maybach Music" rapper for his contribution on the song, comparing him to late performer Notorious B.I.G. whose vocal can be heard on the original version of the track.

Bob Dylan to Fly to Europe to Exhibit His Paintings

Folk rocker-turned-artist Bob Dylan is to treat fans in Europe to an exhibition of his paintings. The "Blowin' In The Wind" hitmaker has spent his downtime from music creating impressionistic drawings for years.

And now he's agreed to show a dozen acrylic paintings in a traveling exhibition dubbed Bob Dylan on Canvas. The works, based on drawings from his Drawn Blank Series in the 1990s, will be the first of Dylan's canvas pieces to be exhibited. Bob Dylan on Canvas is scheduled to open on February 13 at the Halcyon Gallery in London and will travel to the National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen in September.

Elton John to Perform at Mexico's Archaeological Site

Elton John will follow in the footsteps of opera greats Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo when he performs at the archaeological site of Chichen Itza in Mexico in late 2010. The "Rocket Man: Number Ones" will be taking to the stage at the Mayan ruins on April 3, singing in the same spot as Pavarotti did in 1997 and Domingo in 2008. British soprano Sarah Brightman also performed at the historical attraction in 2009.

Local reports in December 2009 suggested the concert could be derailed as a result of the recent excavations at the foot of El Castillo, but Yucatan state officials have confirmed the show will go ahead as planned as the stage will be set on the opposite side of the great pyramid.

Shakira's 'She Wolf' Gets Caught in Lawsuit

The artist who designed the cover of Shakira's album "She Wolf" has filed suit against the pop star's label Sony - alleging company bosses owe him $64,000. Art director Lee Swillingham signed a $63,000 contract with the company in Spring 2009 for his services and was paid half the sum up front, reports the New York Post.

According to court documents, he earned $5,000 a day for extra work, totaling an additional $36,000. The contract included a clause stating Sony owes nothing if the record label isn't pleased with the final project.

Prison drama "A Prophet" is leading the way at France's most prestigious prize-giving ceremony - garnering a massive 13 nominations at the upcoming Cesar Awards. The film leads categories including Best Picture and Best Director, for Jacques Audiard, as well as garnering nods for its star Tahar Rahim, who is up for Best Actor and Best Newcomer.

Matt Grant from "The Bachelor" fame is coming back to television through a new reality show titled "Pimp My Bride". The contestant of "Bachelor" season 12 confirmed to Us Magazine on Saturday, January 23 that the new show is "an organic follow-up to the Bachelor."

For one thing, the show is a project that the British financier wrote himself after his stint as bachelor ended in 2008. "It's about the groom being in control of the wedding," he said, indicating that he won't be in front of the camera. The show is picked up by Warner Bros but there is no network or premiere date yet.

'All My Children' Star James Mitchell Passed Away From Pneumonia

American soap star James Mitchell has died following complications from pneumonia. The actor, who became known for his role as ruthless tycoon Palmer Cortland on longrunning U.S. TV series "All My Children", passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday, January 22 at the age of 89.

His partner Albert Wolsky confirms Mitchell had been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for years and was recently hospitalized after experiencing problems when he was struck down with pneumonia. Mitchell joined the popular soap opera in 1979 and stepped down as a series regular in 2008. However, he returned to the small screen in early January to help the cast and crew celebrate its 40th anniversary episode.

Bernard Butler has wished his former Suede bandmates good luck as they launch a comeback - after they neglected to ask him to join their reunion. The "Animal Nitrate" hitmakers announced in early January they'll soon be reforming for a charity gig in the U.K. - but Butler's name was excluded from the announcement line-up in favor of guitarist Richard Oakes.

Founder member Butler, who was replaced by Oakes when he quit Suede in 1994, insists he was never approached to play at the charity concert after previously branding Britpop reunions "embarrassing". He said in 2009, "There's an awful lot of Britpop reunions going on at the moment and I find it embarrassing personally."

'Mortal Kombat' Reboot In Works

Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly moving forward with their plan to make a reboot of "Mortal Kombat" film franchise. Bloody Digusting has just learned that the studio has been in talks with Oren Uziel to pen the script of the forthcoming movie. Uziel's screenplay called "Shimmer Lake" once appeared on the 2009 black list, which is a compendium of the year's best unproduced scripts.

There has no been further information on the progress of the remake. However, back in 2007, there were words that a reboot treatment is planned for "Mortal Kombat" under the title of "Mortal Kombat: Devastation". At the time, it was stressed that the new movie won't be "a prequel, sequel, or in any form be related to the previous 2 movie", but will be made in the vein of "Batman Begins".

'The Last Airbender' Unleashes New Character Posters

Paramount Pictures has released two character posters for upcoming "The Last Airbender". Debuted by Yahoo! Movies, the new images feature Noah Ringer's Aang and Dev Patel's Zuko individually. The one-sheet which has the hero character on it uses sky as its background, while the other one which captures the villainous prince has fire on its background.

In another "The Last Airbender" news, producer Frank Marshall has taken to his Twitter page on Monday, January 25 to share that the upcoming trailer for the movie "will feature all the main characters..." The day before he also wrote, "The AIRBENDER trailer will be about 2 minutes long." It was previously reported the new trailer for this action sci-fi will come out in February.

Andy Dick is begging fans to wait to hear his "side" following his arrest on sex charges over the weekend, January 23, according to TV celebrity addiction expert Dr. Drew Pinsky. The "Road Trip" star was detained in Huntington, West Virginia in the early hours of Saturday morning, January 23 and arraigned later that day on two counts of felony sexual abuse.

Dick then turned to Pinsky, who counseled him in 2009 on the reality show "Sober House", to address his fans and ask them not to judge him over the incident without hearing the circumstances. Whitney Houston Maps Out 'Nothing But Love' World Tour

In support of her comeback album "I Look to You", Whitney Houston is gearing up to travel across the globe for a world tour. Instead of kicking it off in the United States like many musicians do with their tour, she chooses to start it in Seoul, South Korea on February 6.

After having two live concerts in the country, Whitney will be flying to Japan from February 11 -18 and then heading to Australia from February 24 - March 7. Afterwards, she is going to Europe for a number of shows until June 10.
