Albums by The Rolling Stones, Blur and The Clash are among those featured on a new series of commemorative U.K. postage stamps. Britain's Royal Mail has printed a set of 10 stamps featuring iconic album covers, and they've chosen the Stones' "Let It Bleed", Blur's "Parklife" and "London Calling" by The Clash.

Coldplay, David Bowie and Led Zeppelin have also been given the unusual honour - and former Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page is thrilled with the band's stamp for their 1971 album IV. He says, "Almost 40 years after the album came out, nobody knows the old man who featured on the cover, nor the artist who painted him. That sort of sums up what we wanted to achieve with the album cover, which has remained both anonymous and enigmatic at the same time."

Beyonce Knowles has been slammed for accepting a $2 million (1.25 million punds) pay cheque to perform at a private New Year's Eve concert for the son of controversial Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. The singer graced the stage for an hour at the Nikki Beach nightclub on the Caribbean isle of St. Bart's, in front of a crowd that included her husband Jay-Z, Lindsay Lohan and Usher.

Guests allegedly paid $12,000 (7,500 pounds) per table for tickets to the private party, hosted by Hannibal Gaddafi. But, the "Crazy In Love" hitmaker has come under increasing criticism for agreeing to perform at the controversial bash.

Actress Megan Fox has been slammed by health experts for advocating vinegar as a method of detoxing the body. The sexy "Transformers" star swears by the quick-fix as a way to stay in shape and flush out toxins from her system.

She said, "It's just water and raw apple cider vinegar, and it just cleans out your system entirely. I'm not one for dieting or exercising, 'cause I'm lazy and I have a really big sweet tooth, so I have to do cleanses every once in a while."

Michael Cera has dismissed reports he's sitting out of the much-anticipated movie adaptation of TV comedy "Arrested Development", insisting he's onboard and can't wait for shooting to start. The show, which featured Cera, Jason Bateman and Portia De Rossi, was canceled in 2006, but went onto become a cult hit on DVD and TV re-runs, prompting talk of a movie.

Plans were recently put on hold amid rumors Cera has opted out of the film version after finding success in movies "Juno and "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist". But Cera insists the movie is on its way, and he's desperate to be a part of it.

Rap superstar Jay-Z has begged Simon Cowell to let him sit on the judging panel during the next series of his British reality show "The X Factor". The singing contest, which featured a performance from the star's wife Beyonce Knowles in 2008, launched the career of Leona Lewis - and the "99 Problems" hitmaker is keen to get involved.

He tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "Simon, if you need any help for the next series, let me know man and I'm your judge. There is a lot of untapped hip-hop talent in the U.K. and if they want my help finding some for the final 12 I am sure I could assist." And Jay-Z has his eye on launching current judge and Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole's career in the U.S.

Comedienne Joan Rivers risked arrest in Costa Rica when she dashed past an airport security checkpoint in a desperate bid to catch a flight to Newark, New Jersey after she had been detained over a passport mix up. Airport staff didn't recognize the star and were flummoxed by her passport, which lists her as Joan Rosenberg AKA Joan Rivers.

The comic thought the whole thing was a joke and she ran out onto the Tarmac and started waving her hands frantically in an effort to catch the attention of the American pilot flying her plane and ask him to help identify her. But she wasn't laughing when the police were called to the airport - to escort her back into the terminal.

Rockers Axl Rose and Slash have turned down deals worth "hundreds of millions" to reform the original Guns N' Roses line-up - because they still can't stand to be around one another. Drummer Stever Adler was the first of the original members of the rock group to leave - he was fired in 1990 after his drug habit spiralled out of control - and guitarist Slash quit the band in 1996 following a series of rows with Rose.

He went on to form his own successful band, Velvet Revolver, and has previously stated "one of the two of us would die" before a reunion could ever take place. Other members to have walked out include Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan.

New mum Heidi Klum is putting her four pregnancies to good use - she's launching two maternity clothes lines. The "Victoria's Secret" stunner, who welcomed the latest addition to her brood, Lou, in October, has picked up enough tips from her U.S. design show "Project Runway" to create her own range for expectant mums.

Lavish by Heidi Klum and Loved by Heidi Klum will hit American stores on February 12 and feature 29 items, including a maxi-dress and tunic for maximum comfort. Klum says, "I experienced fashion challenges during my four pregnancies and combined my knowledge of what works in terms of style, comfort and practicality to create these lines. Paris Hilton could be a Reinhardt by the end of 2010 if her wedding plans pan out. The party-loving heiress is ready to settle down and reveals there could be a big ceremony in her near future.

Hilton and Doug Reinhardt have been dating for more than a year and she insists they "never spend a night apart". She tells Life & Style magazine, "He's truly become my best friend. He makes me feel like a princess every day."

Lawyers for Roman Polanski have launched a legal bid to have the director sentenced while he resides in Switzerland. The "Rosemary's Baby" director is battling extradition to the U.S. to face sentencing over a 1977 child sex charge. He pleaded guilty to bedding a 13-year-old girl but fled to France before he could be sentenced.

He was detained in Zurich in September 2009 and kept behind bars until he was released in December to live under house arrest at a ski chalet in Switzerland. Officials acting for Polanski have now filed papers asking for him be sentenced "in absentia" - despite Los Angeles prosecutors repeatedly stating that he can only be sentenced if he returns to the U.S. in person.

Charlie Sheen's Christmas Day arrest cost him airtime on U.S. TV screens. The actor was briefly jailed after an altercation with wife Brooke Mueller in Aspen, Colorado and is now facing charges of second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief.

He put the bust-up behind him and returned to work on the set of his hit sitcom "Two and A Half Men" on Monday, January 4 - but other TV appearances have been quietly axed. Sheen starred alongside basketball legend Michael Jordan in ads for Hanes undershirts, but the promos were pulled from screens following the domestic incident.

There is a possibility that "Lost" will not premiere the sixth season as scheduled. The White House has added February 2 as the date when President Obama will deliver his first official State of Union address. The speech was supposed to air on January 19 and 26 but they have reportedly been switched to January 26 and February 2.

There is no official statement yet from the White House other than the date submission. They are allegedly buying time to complete the health-care reform package before the speech is done. In that case, Obama is expected to tell the public that they have reached a huge step toward a better nation.

Police were called to Tila Tequila's Los Angeles home on Wednesday, January 6 to break up a fight over the dogs belonging to the reality TV star's ex-fiancee Casey Johnson. The socialite's pets have been living with Tequila since last week, December 28, 2009 and the singer/model decided to keep the pooches after learning about Johnson's death on Monday, January 4, 2010.

But that didn't sit well with the Johnson & Johnson heiress' family, who sent friends Nicky Hilton and Bijou Phillips over to Tequila's place to retrieve the dogs. Tequila wasn't about to give up the pets without a fight, and called the police, according to TMZ.com.

Along with Keri Hilson, Trey Songz has filmed a music video for his latest single "Yo Side of the Bed" which is taken from his third studio album "Ready". Recently, the forthcoming video was teased through a footage taken from the shooting location.

Trey said Keri will be portraying his wife. "She's in the military and has been called to go on a war," he explained on her character. Sadness, loneliness and all the emotional feelings experienced by the two are promised to be explored in this video.

The release date for "Thor" has been pushed up by two weeks from its original May 20, 2011 slot. Following report that "Spider-Man 4" will not meet its May 5, 2011 deadline, Paramount Pictures has announced that the upcoming movie adaptation of Marvel superhero character will be premiered on May 6, 2011.

Soon after Paramount decided to move up "Thor" release schedule, Disney has announced that "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" will be dropped in U.S. theaters on May 20, 2011, replacing "Thor". This fourth installment of "Pirates of the Caribbean" film franchise previously had not had an exact release date.

Jennifer Lopez refuses to undergo in vitro fertilization to conceive more kids with husband Marc Anthony, insisting she's too "traditional" for the procedure. Lopez gave birth to twins Max and Emme in 2008 and now she's hoping for baby number three.

At 40, she knows her chances of conceiving naturally are growing slim, but she's still determined to leave her future as a mum up to mother nature. She tells U.S. magazine Elle, "When it comes to family and relationships, I'm quite traditional."

Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian is all set to become the next member of the celebrity family to become a mum - she has stopped taking precautions in the bedroom. The reality TV star wed basketball player Lamar Odom in September 2009 after a whirlwind courtship - and now she's considering becoming a first-time mum.

In a radio chat with Los Angeles DJ Valentine on Wednesday morning, January 6, Kardashian revealed, "We both wanna have kids together but I'm not rushing it. I'm also not doing anything to prevent it right now." And she admitted her new husband can't wait to start a family with her: "He wants to have a baby, like, tomorrow."

Honor Society will soon be touring with Timbaland. The four-piece band announce the traveling show on their Twitter, writing "We're touring with Timbaland! We'll announce the dates here on Twitter over the next 6 minutes...one date per minute coming at ya."

Following the message, a series of short posts were tweeted by them. They revealed that their on-stage engagement with Timbaland will be started on January 16 at 9:30 Club in Washington DC and wrapped on January 29 at Los Angeles' House of Blues.

Rockers Mastodon are hitting Hollywood - the band has signed on to write the score for new comic book movie "Jonah Hex". Josh Brolin and Megan Fox are already lined up to star in the movie adaptation of the DC comic, which is due for release in June 2010.

And it will be accompanied by the heavy rockers' trademark sound. Bassist Troy Sanders reveals, "Director Jimmy Hayward played scenes for us and gave us all day long to create music that matched the emotion of the scene. It was flattering to be given 100 per cent creative control in this movie. It was very pure, it was real (sic) creative and totally spur of the moment."

One of "America's Got Talent" judges is down. David Hasselhoff has resigned from the talent show to concentrate on his own show which details are still kept under wrap. A new judge is slated to fill for him, joining Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne.

"I am proud that I was part of making America's Got Talent the No. 1 rated show for the past four summers," David said in a statement to People. Actor-director Eli Roth was left in agony during a festive vacation to Mexico - after he was engulfed in waves while kayaking and then stung 200 times by sea urchins. The "Inglourious Basterds" star was one mile (1.6 kilometres) from shore when he was pulled under by a sinkhole off the coast of Careyes 10 days ago, December 27, 2009.

To escape, Roth climbed a rock that was covered in sea urchins which unleashed the deadly spikes into his body, reports TMZ.com. A nearby fisherman saved the star. Roth tells TMZ the doctor couldn't anaesthetise his foot because of swelling - the medic was forced to pluck the spikes out with a pair of tweezers.

Serving as the host of 2010 People's Choice Awards, Queen Latifah has managed to make audience laugh when she spoofed "The Twilight Saga's New Moon". Imitating Kristen Stewart's famous character Bella Swan, the 39-year-old acted out the scenes in which Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen says goodbye to his mortal lover in the woods.

"Everyone in L.A. is 10 years older than they look. It's called Botox," Latifah said when Cullen explained that all members of his family are much older than they appear. Later, when the vampire has left her alone, she said, "Fine, disappear. I'll just get the werewolf to do the show," referring to the character played by Taylor Lautner, Jacob Black.

Lee Daniels' new film "Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire" will lead the way at the upcoming NAACP (The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) Image Awards - after winning eight nominations. "Precious" earned nods for director Daniels, star Gabourey Sidibe and supporting actors Mariah Carey, Mo'Nique, Paula Patton and Lenny Kravitz. It was also nominated for outstanding motion picture and outstanding independent film.

Susan Boyle extends its reign on Billboard Hot 200 with her debut album "I Dreamed a Dream". According to Nielsen SoundScan, the effort has added another 137,000 copies, bringing a total of 3,104,000 units in its six weeks on sale.

The average number of "I Dreamed a Dream" hints that the Susan hysteria in the U.S. has started to die down. It means that whoever release new albums in the coming weeks may have the chance to end her six-week reign on the chart.

Chris Harrison assured fans of "The Bachelor" that the scandal involving a female contestant and a producer will be revealed soon to the public. "I can tell you next week, all questions will be answered," Harrison told Radar Online. This means there could be a certain section on Monday, January 11 episode which is focused on the affair claim.

Harrison said that the scandal is tough for the entire crew including bachelor Jake Pavelka. "It was an incident that we've never had to deal with before," he said. Chart-topping rockers Kings of Leon have dismissed reports they're lining up an odd collaboration with British pop star Leona Lewis. Recent British tabloid reports suggested the band had persuaded the Bleeding Love singer to join them in the studio - because they're "huge fans".

The story took off and became a big gossip item overnight, prompting Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill to log onto his Twitter.com to deny the claims. Followill, who is enjoying a break after a long tour with the band, writes, "Contrary to reports out there Kings Of Leon are not writing or recording with Leona Lewis. No offense to her."

Taylor Lautner continues to add job on his already busy schedule. The "Twilight" hunk has been hired to star as a pilot in upcoming action movie "Northern Lights (2010)". However, contrary to reports mentioning that he is going to share screen with Tom Cruise, Skydance Productions has announced that the film will not feature the "Knight & Day" actor.

"Set against the backdrop of extreme flying, 'Northern Lights' follows four young pilots as they compete against the world's best," a rep for David Ellison's Skydance Productions told the site about the plot. "A story of teamwork, sacrifice, loss, and victory, these young aviators push themselves to physical and emotional limits in the unforgiving world of performance aerobatics."

Former Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams (II) is returning to Broadway - she will replace Ashlee Simpson in the musical "Chicago" next month, February 2010. Williams, 29, will reprise her role as Roxie Hart - which she first played in London's West End production last year, 2009 - for a limited run beginning February 8, 2010 through March 28, 2010.

She will take over the role from Simpson, who made her Broadway debut in the production on December 1, 2009. Williams' first stint on New York stage came in 2003 when she replaced fellow singer Toni Braxton in musical "Aida".

Carrie Underwood joins the run of becoming the possible Mother on "How I Met Your Mother". The Grammy-winning singer will make her first acting gig on the CBS show in an episode scheduled to air in March as one of Ted's love interest.

"What makes her intriguing is the fact that she's a pharmaceutical rep, or Pharma Girl, which according to Barney has replaced nurses and stewardesses to become the Official New Profession of Hot Chicks," creators of the show were quoted as saying. Carrie's character will be named Tiffany.

Red Hot Chili Peppers star Flea has launched his own range of affordable bass guitars - after seeing his music students struggling to play cheap instruments. The rocker - real name Michael Balzary - was inspired to create the collection after noticing the students he taught at his non-profit Silverlake Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles were practicing on flimsy guitars as they couldn't afford much better.

He tells Kerrang! magazine, "I found that a lot of the kids I was teaching were coming in with inexpensive basses, which were pieces of s**t. The necks were warped and were falling apart. They were like toys. I wanted to make something that kids could afford but were quality, play well and last a long time.

Miley Cyrus broke down in tears when she left Los Angeles to film new movie "The Last Song" in Georgia - because she was so happy to finally escape the paparazzi. The singer/actress was relieved to be free from photographers who follow her in Hollywood - and admits she finally got to feel like a 'normal' teenager during her time shooting the upcoming drama in the southern state.

She tells Harper's Bazaar magazine, "I got on the plane (to Georgia) and I was lying in my mom's lap and crying and saying, 'I'm so happy to be getting out of L.A.' (In Tybee Island, Georgia) I went out every night with my friends. I did karaoke. I danced. All this stuff would've been such a big deal in Los Angeles: 'Who's she with? Why is she dancing?' I felt alive and real."

The winners of 36th People's Choice Awards have been announced on Wednesday, January 6. The event handed out two of its gongs to Johnny Depp as the "Public Enemies" actor was named Favorite Movie Actor of the year and Favorite Movie Actor of the Decade.

Mariah Carey stunned the star-studded audience at the Palm Springs Film Festival on Tuesday night, January 5, 2010 after she won the best supporting actress award - by slurring and stumbling through her acceptance speech. Carey was presented with the prize for her role in "Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire", by the film's director, Lee Daniels.

However, when the singer took the stage at the California event she stumbled through her words, giggling with the audience and hinting she had too much to drink. Carey turned to Daniels with a bizarre beginning to her acceptance speech, saying, "Oh my goodness! I don't think they understand the kitten in cotton thing. No we don't."

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has cancelled a planned solo show at the end of the month, January 2010 to give himself more time to kick his addiction to painkillers. The singer checked into a medical facility last month, December 2009 to get help for his dependence on prescription drugs, which he succumbed to following years of injuries sustained on stage.

Tyler was due to appear at a charity event in New Hampshire on January 23, 2010 for a solo show, titled "Dream On, An Intimate Evening with Steven Tyler", to raise money for good causes. But the gig has now been scrapped and organizers hope to rearrange it once the star is fully recovered.

TV bosses decided to end hit mystery series "Lost" because they "ran out of ideas". The show, starring Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly, focuses on a group of plane crash survivors stranded on a desert island. It began in 2004 and is set to conclude this year, 2010 at the end of the sixth season.

And now co-creator Damon Lindelof has admitted some of the past episodes weren't up to standard, and they didn't want to risk running out of ideas again by keeping the series going. He tells the Hollywood Reporter, "Look, it would be nice to look back and say, 'We love every episode of 'Lost' and every episode turned out the way we wanted it to'. There are s**tty episodes of 'Lost' that we wish we had never written."

The cast of "Glee" and "The Vampire Diaries" have something to celebrate when this year's People's Choice Awards wraps up on Wednesday, January 6 night. The shows have just been named Favorite New TV Comedy and Drama respectively, the only categories in TV that have more than 5 contenders.

It was unfortunate that the cast of "Diaries" did not attend the event that the presenters had to accept the trophy. The "Glee" ensemble on the other way, live up to their show, boarding the stage and giving thanks to people by handing out DiGiornio pizzas. The frozen food brand is the main sponsor of the musical show.

"CSI: Miami" star Eva La Rue is engaged to ex-boyfriend Joe Cappuccio again - nearly a year after they first called off their wedding plans. The actress broke off her engagement to the seafood businessman in February 2008 and the couple then decided to part ways, according to RadarOnline.com.

During the broadcast of 36th People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, January 6, host Jeff Probst stepped up on the stage to announce the cast of "Survivor" season 20 dubbed "Heroes Vs. Villains". The "Rehab" hitmaker's battle with alcohol and drug abuse has been well publicized, but her taxi driver father insists the 26 year old has kicked those demons once and for all.

But he's terrified she's now fallen victim to a spending addiction after seeing her hand over thousands in a single shopping trip. Mitch, 59, says, "Amy quit the drugs in her own way. In 2008, she said to me, 'Dad, I don't want to do this any more.' And she hasn't. I'm more proud of her for that than for her music - she's done it all herself. But she's not out of the woods yet. She's a recovering addict and other problems have developed."

The first winner in music category of the 36th Annual People's Choice Awards is announced by Rascal Flatts. Mariah Carey is the lucky one. The "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" singer takes home Favorite R&B Artist title, beating Alicia Keys, Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Hudson and Usher.

Miley Cyrus hardly felt the pain of the needle as she had her first tattoo inked - because she was concentrating on three loved ones who inspired the body art. The "Hannah Montana" star had the words 'Just Breathe' etched below her heart in her mother's handwriting last year 2009, sparking controversy as several U.S. states forbid those under the age of 18 from getting inked.

But the actress/singer insists she didn't get the tattoo on a whim - it's a tribute to a pal who died of cystic fibrosis in 2007, and her grandfathers who both died of lung cancer. Pop star Aaron Carter is branching out into the business world - he's invested in a pizza restaurant. The singer is a big fan of Italian eaterie Slice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has decided to put some of his own cash into the venture.

36th Annual People's Choice Awards has just been kicked off on January 6 at 9 P.M. ET/PT and Sandra Bullock has had one of her proudest moments. Her film "The Proposal" has been chosen as favorite comedy movie, beating out "He's Just Not That Into You", "Bride Wars", "17 Again" and "The Hangover", which were nominated in the same category.

"Great competition and we're a little surprised," Bullock said when receiving the prize on stage with the companion of her co-star Ryan Reynolds. The actor additionally stated, "The people have chosen and we are very grateful they have chosen our film, especially in that category. There were some funny movies there."

The first announced winner at the 36th Annual People's Choice Awards was "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". The talk show won over "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and "The Tyra Show" in the category of Favorite TV Talk Show which was voted through texting VOTE to 24475.

Lady GaGa is helping revive the popularity of Polaroid instant cameras by inventing new products for the famed company. In October 2009, bosses at the photography firm announced plans to bring back their classic cameras after discontinuing production in 2008.
