Serious Fight Gets Underway Among Wolfmother's Members

A serious dispute has occurred among Wolfmother's singer Andrew Stockdale and other two founding members Chris Ross and Myles Heskett, making speculation on their split. Moreover, Andrew is reportedly about to join a new band with two American players.

The band have refused to give any statement relating to the break-up report. Meanwhile, their manager John Watson promises to give statement in the next two weeks. He said, "Unfortunately, I can't make any comment other than to say that as soon as the band has clear future plans they will issue a statement and we hope to be able to do that in the next week or two."

Back in February, reports have been buzzing over the speculation of "The Trial of the Chicago 7" delay due to Steven Spielberg's exit from the project. While for months the news has been left hanging without any further details of confirmation, a recent interview with producer Walter F. Parkes unveils the problem behind the rumor.

Opening up about the matter to Movie Web, Parkes confirmed that the acclaimed director has no longer been attached to the drama movie. "We're working on Chicago 7. We have a wonderful script," said the producer of "The Kite Runner". "We haven't quite settled on a director yet, and that's probably the next one down the pipe."

'Hostel' Helmer to Join 'Basterds' Cast

Adding up to the casting rumor of Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds", the man behind 2005 horror "Hostel", Eli Roth, has been speculated to be one of the action drama's cast ensemble. Like Brad Pitt, he is being reported to be in negotiation to star in the World War II film piece.

The 36-year-old is eyeing to play Sgt. Donnie 'The Bear Jew' Donowitz who is one of the Jewish-American soldiers sent to do suicide mission against the Nazi in France. His character has been described as the man who hunts Nazi with his signature baseball bat. This role won't be Roth's first appearing in Tarantino's movie, he has a minor role in "Death Proof" which is a segment of "Grindhouse".

His father and manager Jeff Archuleta has recently met the company's producers Antonia Armato and Tim James, both of whom co-wrote and co-produced eight tracks on Miley's latest album "Breakout". The two producers have also worked with other Hollywood stars such as Mariah Carey, Vanessa Hudgens, and Aly & AJ.

Creator Wants Creepier Venom for 'Spider-Man' Spin-Off

Days earlier, Sony Pictures has been reported to be moving ahead with their plan on developing "Spider-Man" spin-off based on one of the superhero's villain, "Venom (2010)". With that in mind, the character's creator Todd McFarlane shares what he wishes for the feature film project about the thick black-symbiote-supervillain.

Noting that Venom is generally created a monster first with a guy underneath, the comic book artist expressed his hope that the movie will present a creepier-looking villain, instead of a kid-friendly baddie. "You don't want to scare the kids, because the kids love the character," he said. "But I think you could add a little bit of a creep factor. I mean, it never bugged me to watch Frankenstein as a kid, so you could have a little bit of it, as long as you have a good story backing it up."

With its anime series generating great responses from fans, it looks like that it is time to give "Afro Samurai" a big screen treatment. And, apparently that is what Samuel L. Jackson, the actor who voiced the titular character in the series, has in mind about the Takashi Okazaki's manga adaptation.

Revealing the plan on developing the series into a live-action one, the 59-year-old who also serves up to be the series' executive producer confessed that the making of the movie has been thought of. "We have a live-action plan," he gushed. "Hopefully, that script will come together and we'll be able to do that in the next two years or so."

Winner of 2008 American Idol David Cook is working on debut album with producer Rob Cavallo, who has teamed up with Green Day in the band's 2004 "American Idiot" album. David said that his taste of music just fits Rob's. Therefore, he thinks that they will be a good team. In a statement, he said, "I think he's a great producer with the kind of sound that I want. And in talking to him, he's just a good guy. Like the song selection I had on the show, Rob just fit."

From 20 singles that are expected to be in the album, David has finished 7 of them. He said that the songs represent his character as a rock singer. David schedules to release the album in mid-November.

'Eagle Eye' Getting IMAX Simultaneous Release

After "Kung Fu Panda" and "The Dark Knight" dig up gold from their simultaneous release in both conventional and IMAX theaters, drama thriller "Eagle Eye" gets its chance to do the same. Words are the D.J. Caruso-directed film will be released on the bigger screens on the exact date it makes its way to the ordinary movie theaters.

Though confirmation about the matter has yet to be outed by DreamWorks/Paramount, it is said that the film will be converted to 70mm IMAX. By that, it means that it will be shown on IMAX DMR venues across the country starting on September 26.

"Swing Your Rag" and "Whatever You Like", the second and third single respectively from T.I.'s upcoming album "Paper Trail" will soon have their music videos premiered. Despite its status as the second single, the video of "Swing Your Rag" reportedly will be premiered via MTV only on September 8. Meanwhile, "Whatever You Like" the video has been officially scheduled to hit the screens earlier on Wednesday, August 8 via BET's "Access Granted". The rapper will then personally deliver the video on the following day through BET's "New Joint".

Il Divo to Release Fourth Album

Pop vocal group Il Divo are set to drop their brand new album on November 18. This upcoming album will be produced by Steve Mac, a producer and songwriter who has worked with such famous superstars as Ronan Keating, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson, Simon Webbe, Kate Winslet, Melanie C, and Clay Aiken.

This album which hasn't been named yet will be their fourth studio album after their successful "Siempre", which has sold over 1 million copies since it has been released on November 21, 2006. Lil Jon Sells Bankrupt Label for 6 Million Dollars

Rapper Lil Jon has ended his multi-million-dollar obligation to his bankrupt TVT Records. He reached an agreement to sell TVT's assets to a digital entertainment company called The Orchard for $6 million and work with the company to develop a lifestyle-oriented marketing and promotion programs as a consultant for some artists, labels, and branding opportunities.

In addition, as part of the deal, the company will provide him the rights to record his upcoming album, "Crunk Rock". The Orchard will also digitally issue Lil Jon's back catalog with new material coming from him. Kevin Smith's 'Make a Porno' No Longer NC-17 Rated

After months fighting to lower the rating given for his forthcoming comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno", filmmaker Kevin Smith finally wins the appeal to get the 'R' rating. On Tuesday, August 5, the Motion Picture Association of America announced that the classification of the raunchy comedy has been revised.

According to Elizabeth Kaltman, the MPAA's spokeswoman, the dropping down of the NC-17 rating, which does not allow anyone from the age of 17 years old and under to see the film, to the R rating has been done after the group's appeals board saw The Weinstein Company's movie. With the new rating, the Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks-starring comedy can now be seen by the younger audience with parental or guardian's company.

A representative for Morgan Freeman previously confirmed that he's in "good spirits" following a car accident he experienced late Sunday night, August 3 in Mississippi despite serious injury he suffered as a result of the crash. 'Dark Knight' Officially Broke the 400 Million Dollars Record

If "Shrek 2" needed 43 days to set a record of fastest selling movie to reach the $400 million milestone, "The Dark Knight" requires less than half the time the DreamWorks' animation movie took to break the record. Having been screened in theaters nationwide since July 18, the Christopher Nolan-directed flick finally reaches the $400.04 million number after 18 days of viewing.

The $400 million tally is the accumulation of the $393.75 million the movie have garnered up to Sunday, August 3 with the additional of $6.28 million it pulled in on Monday, August 4. With the new cume, "Dark Knight" lands at the eighth place of the all-time high-grossing film list. Still, it could climb up to the seventh place on Tuesday passing "Spider-Man" final number of $403 million. In fact, many box office analysts believe that it could go up the ladder up to the second slot overtaking the original "Star Wars" which raked in $461 million.

Confirmed: Lisa Marie Presley Pregnant with Twins

Previously issuing a "confirmation under the gun" that she's pregnant with husband Michael Lockwood's child back in March, it was just recently that it was confirmed that Lisa Marie Presley is having twins. To Entertainment Tonight her mother shared some details, including that the babies are due in the fall.

Lisa's actress mother Priscilla Presley broke the news of the twins, saying her daughter actually "wanted it really to be kept a secret for a long time."
