'American Gangster' Helmer Tackling 'Kind One'

The acclaimed filmmaker Ridley Scott is going to get involved in a feature film project entitled "The Kind One". According to Variey, the director to Denzel Washington's action drama "American Gangster" has been picked up by Warner Bros. Picture to helm and produce the crime drama film.

Scott, who is known for his "Gladiator" work, will be bringing the Tom Epperson's adapted script to the big screen. He will also work with actor Casey Affleck as the brother of Ben Affleck has been tapped to star in the period drama. Commenting on the joining of the helmer, producer Jules Daly stated, "It's a world that Ridley has never touched before, so that's what drew him to the project."

Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger Flirting with Bisexual John Mayer

Hot new couple alert: Nicole Scherzinger and John Mayer. Both music stars reportedly were seen flirting at Los Angeles nightclub Villa last week.

A witness who happened to be in the club claimed to have seen the twosome "chatting and getting really close - she was into it. They left within minutes of each other." A representative for Mayer declined to comment on the report.

New Trailer of Radha Mitchell's 'Rogue' Got Online Release

After reporting the limited city listing for the premiere of horror thriller "Rogue", ShockTillYouDrop revealed the new trailer to the film starring Radha Mitchell and Michael Vartan. The more than a minute footage begins with a placid shot of a sunrise on the horizon followed with an aerial view of a river in between a steep gorge.

The tranquil footage continues by showing the characters as they meet for the first time on a trip boat and then follows them as they make their way though the remote wetlands. In the middle of their unthrilling adventure however, their peaceful trip becomes a nightmare as they out of the sudden are attacked by a giant creature and are forced to find a shelter in a tiny island and find a way to survive from the massive croc seeking to make them its meal.

Minnie Driver's Baby's Daddy Has Been Revealed

The secret has been revealed. The guy who sperminated actress-singer Minnie Driver is Craig Zolezzi, a musician from the San Francisco area, Life&Style has claimed.

Rumors on Driver's pregnancy first arose in February after she was spotted leaving a Los Angeles clinic looking at sonograms with a pal. She, according to reports, then called her boyfriend, Matthew, in England and talked about "getting bloodwork done" before was overheard telling her pal, "Matthew says I should be quiet so no one hears me."

New 'Iron Man' on the Run for 'The Avengers'

Robert Downey Jr.'s fans can put up their hope of seeing more of the "Zodiac" star as he is rumored to be portraying popular superhero character "Iron Man" in "The Avengers". In an interview with MovieHole, the director of "Iron Man", Jon Favreau, hinted that the 43-year-old actor maybe reprising his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the various superheroes movie.

According to the site, the director is pretty sure that Downey Jr. may return as the hero in the film based on the Marvel's comic book of the same title. "Downey Jr may be back as Iron Man - possibly even in a film that unites many of the Marvel superheroes. "The Avengers," based on the comic book title of the same name, sees several classic heroes coming together. It's been in early development for a few months now. Favreau believes it'll definitely happen," read the article.

Kitson Denies Dropping Victoria Adams' Fashion Range

There's no truth to reports claimed that Victoria Adams' fashion range has been dropped by a string of U.S. stores following complaints of poor sales and a lack of promotional work from her. Top outlets Fred Segal and Kitson were among the stores who were said to have dropped Posh Spice's denim collection, accusing her of not doing enough to help sell her products.

The reports, nevertheless, have been denied by exclusive boutique Kitson owner Fraser Ross. Set the record straight on that matter, Ross told Vogue, "The rumors are ridiculous - Kitson is extremely proud to be selling dVb by Victoria Beckham." He continued saying, "We are fully committed to the dVb collection and our customers and Victoria's fans ask for it daily."

Will Smith Launching New HQ Music Video Site

Despite being away from the music scene for a couple of years now, Will Smith is still looking forward to the development of the industry. The actor who started off as a rapper and his entertainment group Overbrook Entertainment have set up a new website called PluggedIn that will accommodate music videos in high quality.

The website which is based in Santa Monica offers free music videos only from popular artists such as Green Day, Coldplay, Norah Jones, and Gwen Stefani. The clips which made up over 10,000 in quantity will use a new format called MoveMediaPlayer that enables full-length and high-quality view.

It costs US$150,000 to get Paris Hilton into a party. She was reported to have been paid a whopping $150,000 to make an appearance at trendy London nightclub Mahiki on Monday night, April 14.

With her rocker boyfriend Benji Madden in tow, Paris showed up to the Mayfair club 2 hours late from the initial schedule, thus led its bosses to feel worry if she was about to come. Apparently, the celebrity socialite woke up late because she was tired from traveling, and still had her hair and nails done.

Britney Spears Back in Recording Studio 'Just for Fun'

The fingers are crossed again for a Britney Spears comeback as the latest report suggested that the pop star has been hitting the recording studio in the past few weeks. The singer's manager Larry Rudolph who reunited with her early this month, confirmed this, stating that at this stage they are merely doing it "just for fun".

"We went into the studio, but it was just for fun - nothing more," Rudolph said, commenting on their visits to the California studio on Monday (April 14) and the next day. A source further revealed to E! News that Britney actually had a vocal coach to get her voice back in its prime shape. Ron Anderson who had worked with several celebrities like Paula Abdul, Shania Twain and Chris Daughtry, reportedly was there to give her voice lessons.

Ashley Tisdale Eyeing 'Teen Witch'

One of the stars from the Disney's hit series "High School Musical", Ashley Tisdale, has been rumored to set her eye for a witch role. According to Hollywood Reporter, the 22-year-old rising starlet has been negotiating to star in a remake of 1989 film, "Teen Witch".

Though the original film was a fantasy musical film, it has yet to be confirmed whether Tisdale will get a singing role like in the three installments of "HSM" or not. Further, if the talks between the actress/singer's camp and United Actress reach a deal, Tisdale is presumably going to portray the leading character Louise Miller, an unpopular high school teenager with the power of Salem's witch.

Mariah Carey Performed 'Bye Bye' on American Idol

Mariah Carey who is the mentor and theme for this week's American Idol, performed her new single "Bye Bye" on the result show on April 16. On the section that was aired on FOX at 8:00 P.M. central, finalist Kristy Lee Cook was eliminated after surviving bottom three for several times.

Kristy tackled Carey's song "Forever" that appeared as the soundtrack to the star's film "Glitter", and gave Carey "goosebumps" during the rehearsal. Unfortunately, she failed to deliver the same sensation to the audience that she landed on the bottom three along with Brooke White and Syesha Mercado. Carey was not the only performer for alumni Elliott Yamin was also there to take the stage.

As the speculations about the disagreement between Edward Norton and Marvel Studios on "The Incredible Hulk" grew stronger, the actor finally comes out to explain about the matter. Norton's thorough statement concerning the dispute has been published through Entertainment Weekly and allegedly has been approved by both Universal Pictures and Marvel.

In the 257-word statement, the co-star of Jessica Biel in "The Illusionist" explained that the problems should have been a private creative debate, but it apparently has been blown out and misinterpreted by the media. "Every good movie gets forged through collaboration, and different ideas among people who are all committed and respect the validity of each other's opinions is the heart of filmmaking," Norton wrote in an e-mail.

Gwyneth Paltrow Admits Battle with Post-Partum Depression

Gwyneth Paltrow revealed in the May 2008 issue of Vogue Magazine that she battled postpartum depression after welcoming her second child, son Moses, way back in 2006. "You know, I had postnatal depression after Moses," she was quoted as saying.

Opening up about the battle, the Oscar-winning actress claimed she "didn't know I had it until after it was over. I just didn't know what was wrong with me." Detailing on her postpartum depression, Gwyneth said that after giving birth to Moses she "felt really out of my body" adding "I felt really disconnected. I felt really down ... I felt pessimistic."

Danity Kane and DAY26 Hit the Road Together!

P. Diddy's proteges, Danity Kane and DAY26 are going to hit the road together to promote their new releases. The music acts will team up to make up "P. Diddy & MTV Present Making the Band 4 - The Tour" line-up, accompanied by their Bad Boy label mates, Donnie Klang and Cheri Dennis.

The trek will visit 10 cities beginning May 24 in Orlando, Florida. Tickets are pre-sold starting today, April 17 on Bad Boy Records website while its general sale will be effective starting from Saturday, April 19. Diddy who announced the tour on MTV's TRL on Tuesday, April 15 said that there will be cameras following them during the tour and the footage will be aired this Summer as an episode for the new season of his reality TV series, "Making the Band".

Lyfe Jennings' new album is taking shape with the revelation of its album cover and full tracklisting. The album which is titled "Lyfe Change" simply uses the close shot of Jennings' face from his side and a dawn sun which is interpreted as the kind of "change".

Tracklisting are also available, containing as many as 15 tracks including two lead singles, "Cops Up" and "Never Never Land". Both tracks have received their video premiere with the latter specifically lifting the 'family theme' that the R 'n' B singer wants to project in the CD. The end credit of the video stated "Family, it never goes out of style".

Apparently, Uma Thurman couldn't get enough of her caregiver movie role. Though she has been picked up to take the nanny role in "Eloise in Paris", it is now reported that the "Kill Bill" heroine has landed another caretaker character in an indie movie "Motherhood".

According to Variety, the 37-year-old actress has been assigned to portray a mother of two who is preparing for her daughter's sixth birthday party. In the film, she will share the screen with Minnie Driver who plays her character's best friend, and Anthony Edwards, who is set to be her character's husband.

Just when things started to build up on her good side for Amy Winehouse, the wall has crumbled down once more. The "Valerie" crooner reportedly is given a warning by her label, Universal to stay away from drugs and other binges if she wants to release another album.

Winehouse has confirmed that she is working on the follow up to her Grammy-winning album "Back to Black" but it's likely that it will not see the light at all. The head of her British label, Lucian Grainge had given a warning earlier this year when she made headlines with footages of her smoking crack surfacing on the media. Now that she allegedly falls down to the pit once more, the label has to take second interference.

'X-Files 2' Got 'I Want to Believe' Title

The title to the much anticipated sequel of the sci-fi thriller "The X-Files 2" has finally being unveiled as the film's distributor, the 20th Century Fox, have agreed to use the name on Wednesday, April 16. The Associated Press reported the creator of the television series as well as the director of the sequel has revealed that the second X-Files film will be known as "The X-Files: I Want to Believe".

In a telephone interview with AP, Carter revealed that the title has been decided from the first time he and co-scribbler Frank Spotnitz developed the script, but was kept under tight wraps by the studio executives to give them more time in making sure that it is a marketable one. Explaining about the reason behind the choosing of the title itself, the filmmaker confessed that it was not a hard thing to do. "It's a natural title. It's a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. 'I Want to Believe.' It really does suggest Mulder's struggle with his faith," so the 51-year-old screenwriter claimed.

U.S. tabloid In Touch claimed to have cited Lindsay's father Michael Lohan as saying that his celebrity daughter has signed up to do missionary work with Times Square Church Missions and is also considering other international missions. "She has made it clear she definitely wants to come along," the publication quoted Michael as saying.

Jane's Addiction are taking their original bassist back to the clan. Eric Avery is confirmed reuniting with guitarist Dave Navarro, vocalist Perry Farrell and drummer Stephen Perkins though it is still for a "one night only" bill.

Is a West London native who rose to prominence in the U.K. with her hit single "American Boy," featuring Kanye West, Estelle is cashing in on her fame to do good deed for the society. The songstress is teaming up with both MTV and Body Shop to help increase AIDS awareness and education the world over as part of the "Move Your Lips" campaign, VH1 reports.

Help promoting the cause, Estelle has signed on to be the spokesperson for Staying Alive Foundation, which is MTV's initiative which aim is to promote AIDS awareness. How to take part in the cause?
