A.J. McLean of Backstreet Boys Plotting a Solo Career

One piece of Backstreet Boys, A.J. McLean has announced that he will go solo like his band mate Brian Littrell. McLean has even put tickets on sale for two sneak-preview of his solo concerts in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 23 and Monday, March 24 at Anaheim's House of Blues and L.A.'s Sunset Strip respectively.

His manager Eric Podwall confirmed to People that McLean is going solo, stating, "After 13 years with the Backstreet Boys, and 75 million records sold worldwide, A.J.'s excited to take a step out on his own and present his music, in his style. He's excited to connect to his fans on a one-on-one basis at smaller venues - something you can't do in large arenas - and to give them a taste of some of the music that will appear on his first solo record later this year."

'Charlie Bartlett' Star Being Kyle Reese in 'Terminator 4'

The actor who depicted the lead character in comedy film "Charlie Bartlett" Anton Yelchin is being reported to possibly star in "Terminator Salvation". According to Hollywood Reporter, the 19-year-old actor has been negotiating to take the role of Kyle Reese who has been described to be the father of the lead character John Connor in the original film.

If indeed being tapped as one of the cast, Yelchin will be playing the teen-version of Reese. He will also star in the action thriller film alongside Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. Still, Hollywood Reporter noted that whether Bale who played John Connor and Yelchin would meet in a scene has yet to be known.

Kylie Minogue's 'X' Gets Its U.S. Release Date

Kylie Minogue's tenth album that is aptly titled "X" has gotten its U.S. release date. The album that was released in other parts of the world in November last year will be released Stateside on April 1, just two weeks before Madonna releases her also highly-anticipated album "Hard Candy".

For the U.S. version, Minogue will revamp it with a different version of the track "All I See" that features a guest spot by New York rapper MIMS. The remaining of the tracks will be similar to the U.K. version, including the spawned singles "In My Arms", "2 Hearts" and "Wow". Set to be the lead single in U.S., "All I See" will be serviced to American radios on March 25 and performed during a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on April 3.

Ex-Porn Star Jenna Jameson Becoming 'Zombie Stripper'

The former porn star Jenna Jameson will showcase her acting skills in the upcoming horror comedy film "Zombie Strippers". According to press release, the PETA activist is going to appear in the film as a stripper who has been infected with a virus and turned to be a zombie.

Jameson will be seen starring alongside Robert Englund and her wrestler boyfriend Tito Ortiz. In the film that has completed its production, the 33-year-old acted under the direction of helmer and screenwriter Jay Lee.

Denied of Shooting Permit in China, John Cusack's 'Shanghai' Relocated to Thailand

As the period drama film "Shanghai" was not allowed to film in China, it has been said that the shooting of the film starring the "Must Love Dogs" star John Cusack will be moved to another Asian location. According to Variety, the Weinstein Company's drama has been set to be relocated to Thailand as well as Britain.

On the relocating, the production house's co-owner Harvey Weinstein revealed that Thailand wasn't the studio's first pick for the re-location as the studio has considered other Asian locations including Hong Kong. "Hong Kong doesn't have the colonial era setting we need; it is difficult to find a building here less than 50 stories high," explained the movie executive. "So we will be going to Thailand and, believe it or not, England."

Clint Eastwood Back On Screen With 'Gran Torino'

The acclaimed filmmaker Clint Eastwood is going to step back in front of the camera with Warner Bros. Pictures' new project entitled "Gran Torino". According to Variety, beside starring in the film, the "Letters from Iwo Jima" helmer will also tackle the role of the film's director.

Eastwood's involvement in the movie was revealed on Tuesday, March 18 when the studio gave the film its release date schedule. Him starring in "Torino" marked his first time return on screen after his last appearance in "Million Dollar Baby" with Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman. Though he might have to polish his acting skills for this role, there will be no doubt on his directing skills as the 77-year-old has won two Academy Award statuettes for his direction in "Unforgiven" and "Baby". Additionally, he has just done helming "The Changeling".

Kurt Cobain gets his own Converse shoe. The late musician is about to be commemorated in a series of shoes created by the footwear manufacturer which has been making shoes since the early 20th century.

Converse's Cobain-inspired shoes will feature the music legend's name, lyrics, writing and signature. The shoes, moreover, will also feature select drawings and writings first published in 2002's Journals scrawled on them.

'Viva la Vida', Title to Coldplay's New Album

Finally, a title is revealed for Coldplay's fourth album that is due June 17 via Capitol/Parlophone. To RollingStone.com, frontman Chris Martin revealed that it would be called "Viva la Vida" which means "Long Live Life" in English.

Martin was inspired by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo in naming the album. Frida who has also been depicted in a movie played by Salma Hayek, endured a painful life after she was diagnosed with polio and had a traffic accident when she was only 18. "She went through a lot of shit, of course, and then she started a big painting in her house that said 'Viva la Vida,'" Martin explained. "I just loved the boldness of it."

Guillermo Del Toro Still Negotiating for 'Hobbit' Films

Though Guillermo Del Toro has been rumored to be tackling another adaptation from J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, "The Hobbit", for quite some time now, he has yet to be announced as the helmer of the project. Talking to TheOneRing.net, the director of "Lord of the Rings" trilogy confessed that he is still in negotiation to take the important role in the two films installment.

The Academy Award-nominated director revealed that he is currently in talks when he kindly refused to give detailed information about the New Line Cinema's movies. "At this stage anything I say is of no consequence for I am not yet signed to do 'The Hobbit'," he commented. "Negotiations advance but are still ongoing." Further, he mentioned that he is still busy with his research on Tolkien's works as he wanted to bridge up gap in his reading of the material related to Middle-earth.

Van Halen's Rescheduled Tour Dates

A string of new dates have been introduced as the compensation of the several dates postponed in Van Halen's reunion tour. Earlier this month, the rock band canceled dates in several cities like Charlottesville and NYC to give frontman Eddie Van Halen time to undergo "medical tests".

As promised, they come back in the tour on April 19 with a gig in Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Events Center. Four other dates have also been announced for Dallas, Cincinnati, St. Louis and Milwaukee. Tickets that had been purchased for the original dates are valid for the new dates.

Rumor has it that Naomi Watts and her actor boyfriend Liev Schreiber have wed in secret. The couple have prompted speculation that they have married in secret in Australia after the actress is spotted sporting a ring on her wedding finger.

News media are speculating that Watts and Schreiber took time out to tie the knot during her trip down under to visit him after a snapper caught the actress "wearing a large diamond ring and another band with smaller diamonds on her ring finger" as she arrived back in Los Angeles on Monday, March 18. Watts' representative declines to confirm or deny the wedding reports, telling New York gossip column Page Six, "I don't comment on her personal life."

'Mamma Mia!' Trailer Arrives!

Though promised before on March 18 that the brand new trailer of the comedy musical "Mamma Mia!" will be making its debut attached on "Dancing With the Stars", BroadwayWorld.com reported that Universal Pictures have also released the trailer online on the same day. The sneak peak to the film starring Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried and Pierce Brosnan takes almost two and a half minutes to be viewed.

Unlike its teaser which begins with a shot of a vast lake with a single boat traveling through, the trailer starts more extravagantly as the shot of dancing feet were shown with the background music from ABBA's hit song "Mamma Mia" followed with a man's voice narrating the footage. This compilation of clips from the film also let out more of the film's storyline as well as the comedy promised though not forgetting to give out the joyful music the film builds onto.

Ciara Aiming an August Release for Third Album

More details on Ciara's third effort has been released. Although the title is not yet revealed, Billboard.com reported that the album is under work with release date slated to be either August or early September. The new album will be the follow up to her 2006 release "Ciara: The Evolution".

The Grammy-award winning singer reportedly is hard at work, squeezing time for studio sessions for this album. Among those backing her up are T-Pain, Polow Da Don, The Clutch and Timbaland's protege, DanjaHandz.

Robin Williams is invading the small screen, again. The actor-comedian, who has done television, stage and film work, has signed on to guest star on NBC's drama series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit".

Williams is set to portray the role of an engineer who, having suffered through a life-changing tragedy, has developed a deep distrust of authority and feels compelled to inform others about the dangers in "leading unquestioning lives," NBC has confirmed. The "Special Victims Unit" episode with Williams is the show's 200th.

Fall Out Boy to Break World Record by Playing in Antarctica

Rock act Fall Out Boy are breaking boundaries by attempting to break a world record performing in seven continents within 9 months. The four-piece will travel to Antarctica, the Earth's southernmost continent, and perform there on March 25 in front of a team of assembled scientists at a set up gymnasium.

The band's management company announced that they will board on a private jet from Chile to the cold region and enter the Guinness Book of World Records. They have visited the other five continents since last Summer, with gigs in South Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. They will conquer the sixth, which is South America, on March 23 when they perform in Santiago, Chile.

Title Revealed, 'Justice League' Facing Another Setback?

Apparently, troubles still refuse to shy away from "Justice League of America". The superhero flick, which is said to be titled "Justice League Mortal", has been faced with another problem that is jeopardizing the film's production. According to Sydney Morning Herald, the George Miller-directed action adventure film is more likely to leave the Australian production studios due to financial problem.

SMH further reported that there are 90% chance that the filming won't be done in Australia because the film's director George Miller was enraged with the Australian Federal Government's decision on refusing to give out the 40% refundable tax compensation. "A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Australian film industry is being frittered away because of very lazy thinking," Miller commented on the decision. "If that's going to be the final decision, they're throwing away hundreds of millions of dollars of investment that the rest of the world is competing for and, much more significantly, highly skilled creative jobs."

Ne-Yo Reveals 3rd Album Title and Explains Its Meaning

Ne-Yo's third LP begins to take shape with the announcement of the album's tentative title. The R'n'B crooner revealed to MTV that it will be called "Year of the Gentleman" and that the first official single will be "Closer" that was serviced to radio stations on Friday, March 14.

On choosing such title for the album Ne-Yo explained, "I'm trying to take it back to where you couldn't walk out of the house unless you looked your best. Back in the day of, say, the Rat Pack and Nat King Cole... any picture you ever see, they're suited and everything is right from top to bottom. Not saying it has to be a suit, 'cause clothes don't make the man - it's the attitude and person. The music needs to personify that."

P. Diddy-created band DAY26 have begun the series of their promotion for their debut release. A new music video has been released to mark their first ever clip as a five-piece. The video is for the first single "Got Me Going" that is pulled from their upcoming self-titled album.

Since they are in the same house with Danity Kane, the group are also having the same director as the all-girls band to direct this video. Syndrome who also directed Kane's "Damaged" video is also taking this project for DAY26. Diddy is making a cameo in the clip, signing his name in the contract for the boys.

Though their latest action film "The Forbidden Kingdom" has yet to open in the theaters, it has been rumored that the two top Asian action stars, Jet Li and Jackie Chan are planning to collaborate their acts once again for another movie. According to The Associated Press, following their first teaming up in "Kingdom", both Li and Chan revealed their desire to work together again at a Hong Kong news conference on Tuesday, March 18 to promote the Lions Gate Films' movie.

Hinting on the possibility of them reteaming in another film, Chan, who gathered recognition from Hollywood though 1995's "Rumble in the Bronx" as well as "Rush Hour" series, revealed that he and Li had so much fun filming for the Rob Minkoff-directed film that they didn't want the fun to be ended there. "The first day we started filming, it felt like we had worked together for many years," he said, "after filming this movie, we didn't have enough fun." Though refusing to give out further details about their second collaboration, AP reported that the kungfu movies' stars have planned to make another movie together based on a script which they have started working on 15 years ago.

New Mom Halle Berry Reveals Baby's Name

It's official. Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry's baby daughter is called Nahla Ariela Aubry. It is pronounced "GNAW-lah ARE-ee-EL-uh"

The baby girl was born Sunday morning, March 16 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Star Magazine was the first to bring the report to the surface. An insider told the publication, "Halle Berry had a 7lb 4 oz girl at 10:17am." According to Access Hollywood, as being told by a source, the actress had a long natural birth.
