Offended by an article written by a Canadian journalist, Celine Dion cancelled a performance in the country. David Rodenhiser of Halifax Daily News wrote an unwelcoming headline about her upcoming show in Halifax, Canada, forcing Celine to pull the plug.

On a November 8 column, Rodenheiser wrote "Oh, no. Say it ain't so. Celine Dion is our big Concert on the Common news? What could be more of a letdown?" under the heading "Like her or not, it's good news."

Making quick update on its upcoming "The Golden Compass", New Line Cinema has delightfully brought up four more clips for the movie in the follow-up to the release of the two clips featuring the armored bear.

Based on the first book of Philip Pullman's "His Dark Material" trilogy, the fantasy adventure is scheduled to open in theaters on December 7 this year. The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, however, has called for a boycott of the movie, stating the original materials to be anti-faith in general, anti-Christian, and anti-Catholic in particular, and pro-atheism.

The new album from Grammy-winning rock band Weezer has started to take shape. The band have decided to name the sixth studio album 'Tout Ensemble' which will be released on April 22, 2008 via Geffen.

In a report by Billboard, bassist Scott Shrine revealed that he was so "excited" about this project and that their fans can actually "have something to look forward to". He said, "The entire band has accomplished some of its most challenging goals as a group and as individuals. It's all coming together on this album."

Heavy talks are circulating around the net now pointing out that Christian Bale is up for an acting slot in "Terminator Salvation."

Ain't It Cool News claims to have heard from its trusted source that the Batman actor will play John Connor in the project, a role previously portrayed by Nick Stahl in "Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines." If this rings true, Bale's casting could only mean that pic will be starting a long time after "Machines" judging from the age difference between the thespian and Stahl.

Once it was cleared out that his rivalry with Kanye West was mere publicity stunt, 50 Cent offers his condolences to the buddy. The rapper thinks Kanye is doing the right thing by back performing not long after his mother passed away.

"That's really an unfortunate situation and I hope he can work his way through it," 50 said in an interview. "It's good to see him actually touring. You can work your way back into a comfortable space where you can deal with those situations."

Shakira has encountered a problem in Afghanistan through her hips. The Colombian singer has sparked a friction between the Muslim country's government and their national TV station after the latter broadcast her sexy moves.

While her shows are known to sometimes feature her belly-dancing and skimpy clothes, one of it didn't impress Afghani government when it was broadcast on Tolo TV. It was deemed as the latest sign of bad western influence that, as a pro-government newspaper said, will prompt more suicide bombers.

The sixth and latest video from "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" set in Shanghai has been submitted by director Rob Cohen onto his official blog for fans of the horror action adventure franchise to see it online by now.

Christina Applegate puts on her PETA's supporter hat and doing her job to speak the "Fur: Get Me Not!" campaign, giving her support for the animal rights group by appearing naked in a new advertising campaign asking people to cross fur off their Christmas list.

The actress, who's currently starring on the ABC's sitcom "Samantha Who?" posed for PETA's new promotional ads, in form of e-card, wearing nothing more than a pair of Christmas themed gloves covering her chest. Her campaign slogan reads, "Cross cruelty off your shopping list by avoiding fur coats, collars and cuffs - unless it's fake of course."

In what came as a surprise, The Killers premiered a second video from their compilation album 'Sawdust'. The rock band released a clip for their cover of Joy Division's 'Shadowplay' that also becomes the soundtrack of British film 'Control'.

Since the movie is a biopic for Joy Division's frontman, Ian Curtis, the band share some of their shots in the video with excerpts from the 2007 movie.

Hot on the heels of her custody battle with former husband Kevin Federline and amidst the numbers of lawsuits addressed to her, Britney Spears is creating another media headlines yet again. The singer and mother of two is reported to have a new boyfriend and unlike her previous lovers, her new man is not so famous as he simply works as a waiter.

Life & Style Weekly reported that Britney is dating waiter Michael Marchand. The supposed lovers were spotted out together Tuesday November 21st at Mirabelle restaurant, where he works, in LA.

It's not that Nicole Richie doesn't know the sex of her not-yet born baby. She just trying to hide it from public. The pregnant socialite's father, Lionel Richie, has confirmed the on-going rumors that he's going to have a grandson.

Universal Pictures' high-profile project "State of Play" is losing its bright star. Male lead Brad Pitt has taken decision to pull out from the crime thriller drama, which was supposed to mark his reunion with Edward Norton since 1999's "Fight Club."

"Brad Pitt has left the Universal Pictures production of 'State of Play'", Universal said in a statement. "We remain committed to this project and to the filmmakers, cast members, crew and others who are also involved in making the movie. We reserve all rights in this matter."

The second video from Britney Spears' 'Blackout' has to come later than expected after the production was halted. The video's producer was involved in an accident and therefore the shooting schedule was changed from November 16 to thanksgiving days (November 22-25).

"They rescheduled it for next week," said a statement issued last weekend. "It's strictly the production company's fault and they are paying to compensate for lost time." The shooting is for her second single 'Piece of Me' that is confirmed by Sony/BMG to be officially released on January 11, 2008.

A YouTube video of Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz apparently having sex with an unidentified woman has made its way all over the net. But don't come to judgment so quickly for the tape "isn't real." Referring to the quoted words, the tape actually is a preview of a scene taken from an untitled short movie.

The 30 seconds clip, dubbed "The Pete Wentz Sex Tape," surfaced on gossip blog PerezHilton.com and has subsequently made it's way across the internet.

Two extraordinary things happened on the Billboard Hot 200 chart this week. Apart from the fact that the #1 album last week, Jay-Z's 'American Gangster', takes a sharp plunge this week, Alicia Keys' 'As I Am' sells a number that makes it the highest selling debut for a female artist since Norah Jones broke it in 2004 through 'Feels Like Home'.

'As I Am' took the top position after moving 742,426 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan. This would be her fourth album that opens at #1 and the one selling the largest number of all her albums. However, it is still one level below Kanye West's 'Graduation' (957,000 copies) to be the highest selling debut in the past two years.

Christina Aguilera goes dirrty, pulling a "Britney." The super pregnant singer has joined the growing ranks of Hollywood celebrities who unwittingly exposed her R-rated area, with no panties on, to photographers.

The pop star, who has in the past criticized the likes of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton for their wild-partying habit, was out for a special dinner at Amalfi in LA with husband Jordan Bratman to celebrate their second wedding anniversary when she, accidentally, being snapped without underwear while getting out of a car.

The official music video of Chris Brown's 'With You' has finally arrived. The clip was posted on his MySpace page on Tuesday, November 20.

It was partly shot in downtown L.A. with, reportedly, a director named Erik White taking over the project. Brown confirmed to MTV sometime ago that he also co-directed the clip, to the point where he wanted to go personal with the camera by mostly taking solo shots.
