Doing her best on screen, the movie beauty is attempting a career reinvention by turning bracelet designer for social issue.

Noted Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani announced Tuesday November 20th that he has teamed up with the "Pretty Woman" star, who often wore his gowns to movie ceremonies and is his long-term friend, to design a bracelet to sell for World AIDS Day, only to mark his first time to have ever worked with another name on a project.

Whitney Houston to Make a Come Back in Malaysia

Off her media frenzy personal life, Whitney Houston has announced a comeback to music. The singer who has separated from husband Bobby Brown will perform in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on December 1.

Whitney announced this gig through a video that last less than 10 seconds. The concert is part of Live & Loud Music Festival, a 10-day music event brought by the local organizers. The chief festival director, Reymee Mohamed Hussein explained that each artist will do long sets instead of bits and pieces.

Colin Farrell-Starrer In Bruges to Open 2008 Sundance Film Fest

A darkly comic tale of two hitmen whose views on life and death get skewed when they come to the titular city, "In Bruges" has been selected to kick off next year's Sundance Film Festival, slated to be held on January 17, the organizers have announced.

"In many ways 'In Bruges' is a quintessential Sundance film - it's brutal, philosophical, funny and totally original," Festival director Geoffrey Gilmore remarked.

New Line Cinema Suing Golden Compass Documentary Makers

Considering itself to have full copyrights on "The Golden Compass", New Line Cinema has taken a legal action against filmmakers of a home video documentary entitled "Beyond the Golden Compass: The Magic of Philip Pullman" upon finding out that the feature is timed to coincide with the theatrical release of the fantasy adventure.

Filed the week of November 12, 2007 in New York District Court, the lawsuit alleges Koch Entertainment, the company making the documentary, for violating New Line's copyrights while asking U.S. District Court Judge Kathleen Tomlinson to enjoin Koch from releasing the video. "Compass", based on the first of Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy, has been expected to be a potential franchise starter for the giant studio, which has spent millions on the rights and marketing of the flick.

Kanye West Admits Plotting Publicity Stunt With 50 Cent

Kanye West has finally admitted that his chart battle with 50 Cent back in September was mere publicity stunt. West came up with the idea, 50 nodded his head and the latter added a little spice.

50 first came with a shocking statement that he will retire if his album 'Curtis' was to lost from West's 'Graduation'. Upon both albums release on September 11, West's beat his by more than 250,000 copies. West has just revealed that there was no personal beef, it was all made up to boost the sale.

New Thriller Horror Pic to Come, Executive Order: Six

Relativity Media is prepping a new sci-fi thriller horror feature for the big screen. According to Variety, the project is titled "Executive Order: Six" and will be directed by "Four Brothers" maker John Singleton.

Scripted by Philip Eisner based on a story he wrote alongside Robbie Consing, the flick focuses on the residents of a small, snowbound town who band together to fight a mysterious horror that turns out to be an alien being unleashed by a plane crash.

Mary J. Blige's Fresh Song Featured in iTunes Ad

A brand new single from Mary J. Blige has been used in an iTunes commercial. The song which is titled 'Work That' and the ad are part of the promotion for Blige's upcoming album 'Growing Pains'.

With the partnership, the album which is slated to be released on December 18, is available for pre-order on iTunes. Meanwhile, 'Work That' is also made available for a single, although the lead single from the album is 'Just Fine'.

"We canceled Christmas a few years ago," so the movie director told People. "Stopped all the presents. And ever since [we] stopped the presents, we're are actually enjoying it."

Two New Sweeney Todd Characters Posters Plus Studio Sessions Clip

Previously spotted together in one poster, now the serial killer and his accomplice are featured separately this time. Yes, two new character posters of the upcoming "Sweeney Todd" have just been made available on the net, featuring the title character himself and Mrs. Lovett, played respectively by Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.

The twosome's names, however, are not mentioned as they are only referred as the barber and the baker. In the poster, Depp's Todd is caught holding a blood-stained razor while Carter's Mrs. Lovett carries a plate full of meat pies with some human body parts like fingers and ear eerily popping out of them.

Kanye West's Family Asked Dr. Jan Adams to Walk Off CNN's Larry King Live

Hours after a funeral service for Dr. Donda West was performed, Jan Adams, the Los Angeles plastic surgeon who operated on her one day before her sudden death, took the seat at CNN's "Larry King Live" for a scheduled interview only to tell the talk show host he's walking off because Kanye West's family asked him not to appear on the show.

Dr. Jan, who initially agreed to speak with King to set the record straight on what he claimed as inaccurate reports about him in the news media concerning Donda's death, abruptly walked off the show, argued "I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family and they have asked me not to go on. And I've said from the very beginning, I don't have a side in this. They are my side and so I'm going to respect their wishes."

Bruce Springsteen Stretches 'Magic' Tour to 2008

After only revealing bits and pieces of his Magic Tour, Bruce Springsteen finally announced the full schedule of his 2008 itinerary. The 'Boss' will start a full-force tour on February 28 with support of his long-time collaborator, E-Street Band.

The announcement came after the singer and the band wrapped up the first leg of the tour on Monday, November 19. The new schedule is now comprised of 30 dates and will stretch through April 30, but first they will be on the road starting from November 25 up till December 19 for European leg.

Anyone seeing the new trailer for "Cloverfield" should find some footage was shown rather quickly, not to mention the shaky shots from the hand-held camcorder, that it was hard to take glimpses on the monster in the flick.

But cheer up now, folks, one segment from the piece featuring the creature has been turned into a slow-motion video which reveals parts of the beast for sure. Still, apart from what look like to be lower two legs and enormous torso, there's nothing more spotted from it.

Snoop Dogg to Release Album in March, Video Next Week

Although no specific date has been laid out, Snoop Dogg has confirmed that his ninth studio album, 'Ego Trippin'', will arrive in March 2008. The first single is ready to be released, so does its music video.

Snoop previously leaked the first single under the title 'Sexual Eruption' on his MySpace, but it has apparently been changed to 'Sensual Seduction'. It is an up-tempo ode to the early eighties where 'talk box' effect is added. "'Sensual Seduction' is like a throwback feel-good song," Snoop Dogg said in a statement. "I wanted to have fun with this one ... and the video is crazy."
