Ryan Reynolds to Make Proposal

It appears that Touchstone Pictures' "The Proposal" is close in getting its leading man by now. The Hollywood Reporter has delightfully come up with news informing "Smokin' Aces" star Ryan Reynolds is currently engaged in talks to secure the role in the project, which Sandra Bullock is set to topline.

If everything goes smooth, Reynolds will then play Bullock's young male assistant who agrees to make a sham engagement and marriage with her when she suddenly faces deportation to Canada.

Beside working with Snoop Dogg, Akon and Lil Wayne in the first single "Speaker", Banner also tied collaboration with Cool & Dre, UGK, Chris Brown, Jim Jones and Nitti. He also got behind the panel himself claiming that he "likes to change music".

Gwen Stefani is facing a tough opposition from a group of Muslims in Malaysia. The group that is comprised of students has tried to ban Stefani's gig in Kuala Lumpur's Putra Stadium on August 21, claiming 'obscenity'

The 10,000 students believe that the concert will clash with Asian values especially Islamic. "Her video clips promoting the event are too obscene," Mohamad Hilmi Ramli, the group's president, told Reuters. "We want the organizers to cancel the concert, failing which we will ask the authorities to intervene."

R&B crooner Amerie thinks it will be fun to have a collaboration with rock acts The Killers and Coldplay, and she's serious about it. In the coming months she will try to reschedule her brief meeting with Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin.

"I'm a big fan of The Killers. I'd love to do something with them, and Coldplay," Amerie told the Daily Star. "I was due to hook up with Chris Martin a while back but then his baby was born. Hopefully we'll reschedule."

Wanting to add futuristic plus innovative ads and fake news footage as part of the flick, MNP, one of the production companies making "Babylon A.D.", is holding a new contest looking for ten-second clips of futuristic ads or news to be featured in the movie.

According to an announcement posted on the official MySpace production blog for the sci-fi actioner , participants are required to make their works in HD format and submit them either by mail or by DVD before September 30, 2007. Winning clips are promised to be integrated on various screens depicted in the flick, such as futuristic TVs and personal tablets, while the creators will have their names mentioned in the credits.
