Mandy Moore Promoting CD with Reality Show

To mark her comeback in music industry, Mandy Moore won't take half of what she can get. She is going to promote new album "Wild Hope" with a one-day reality show titled "I Am Mandy Moore".

In the show, a camera will follow Mandy promoting her CD in New York on June 22, three days post the official release. She will also let the show, which is taken by cable network Oxygen, to witness her first televised concert as a headliner.

Arcade Fire's Third Single Coming Up

Arcade Fire will release its third single from "Neon Bible" on July 23. The single selected is "No Cars Go", a new recording featuring full orchestral arrangement of an earlier version on the band's self-titled 2003 album.

Also, post Win Butlers' nose infection that forced them to cancel the rest of European Tour, the band is back with big compensation. The band will promote "Neon Bible" in their biggest ever U.K. tour.

Three Lamenting Their "Blindness"

Moving the project in steady progress, filmmakers of "Blindness" have added three more stars to take part in the apocalyptic drama, placing the names of Gael Garcia Bernal, Danny Glover, and Alice Braga in the cast lineup.

Joining Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo, Bernal will portray King of Ward 3 while Glover and Braga are set to be the narrator and girl with the dark glasses, respectively. Story is adapted from the Jose Saramago novel about an epidemic of blindness that sweeps through a contemporary city and pushes its citizens to the brink of breakdown.

Christina Applegate Dates a "Rocker"

Finally making her way to be the lead again since her stint in "Surviving Christmas", Christina Applegate has landed a starring slot in Fox Atomic's new comedy "The Rocker" that the studio is developing in association with 21 Laps Entertainment.

Apart from the actress, the flick has also added a handful of other actors in the cast lineup. Names submitted include Jeff Garlin, Emma Stone, Jason Sudeikis, Jane Lynch, Demetri Martin, and musician-actor Teddy Geiger.

Story concerns a couple who settles down in a seemingly idyllic English town to raise a family. However, the perfect life does not last long when the husband, a claymation artist, shockingly finds out that his characters are acting out a nightmare that comes to life.

Stars Blocking the "Border"

Big names are lending their voices for Walt Disney Pictures' comedy "South of the Border." The Hollywood Reporter has brought in news stating that a handful of Latino actors consisting of Andy Garcia, Salma Hayek, George Lopez, Cheech Marin, Paul Rodriguez, Placido Domingo, Edward James Olmos, and Eddie Sotelo have all been submitted into the film's voice cast with "Lucky You" star Drew Barrymore leading the lineup.

Also starring Piper Perabo in human role, the flick follows the adventures of a pampered Beverly Hills chihuahua named Chloe as she gets lost during a vacation in Mexico and is in need of assistance from her friends to find way back home. Perabo will play Chloe's owner while the dog's voice will be provided by Barrymore.

Gold Circle Identifies "The Arcanum"

Placing bet on the table, Gold Circle Films has taken over rights to make "The Arcanum" from Miramax Films following the latter's decision to put the flick into turnaround, Variety has reported.

Adapted from Thomas Wheeler's debut novel of the same name, the fantasy adventure is likely to follow closely the story depicted in the original which revolves around the titular secret society. Consisting of leading occult investigators namely Arthur Conan Doyle, Harry Houdini, H.P. Lovecraft, and Marie Laveau, the group is bound to battle demons descending on New York City, including a serial killer of angels.

Singer/actor friend, Sergey Lazarev confirmed the pregnancy news, saying "Yes, she's pregnant, she told me a few weeks ago. She's expecting at Christmas. I'm really excited for her. Motherhood has really changed her. When she gave birth to Viktoria she suddenly grew up and calmed down. She's a lot more mature now."

T.I. Slams Ludacris for Recent Grammy Winning

T.I. made another nasty remarks on long time rival Ludacris regarding recent Grammy winning. The Atlanta-born rapper thinks that his "King" album should have stood up as the winner of Best Rap Album instead of Ludacris' "Release Therapy".

In a released statement T.I. said, "I had the album of the year whether I won a Grammy for it or not. I think numbers show that. I think that if you go out to anybody on the streets and ask them, they'll tell you. I think that it's a no-brainer. You ask him (Ludacris), he'll probably tell you the same thing. Come on, man, who in hip-hop doesn't know that? If you a supporter of hip-hop, who doesn't know that King is the only platinum album that dropped last year... that was platinum by the time the new-year's bell rung? At 12:01, January 1, 2007, who had the hottest album of the year? I think it's unanimous."

Mariah Carey Messing Up with "Zohan"?

Giving a surprising yet no doubt interesting scoop on the Happy Madison comedy "You Don't Mess with the Zohan", JoBlo.com has claimed that pop diva Mariah Carey is taking a starring role as herself in the project, which Madison is setting up with Judd Apatow Productions for a summer 2008 release under Columbia Pictures banner.

Placing Adam Sandler as the title character, a Mossad agent who fakes his death to pursue his dream of becoming a hairdresser in New York City, the project is said to find Carey running into trouble with Zohan's former nemesis, The Phantom, and so launches the agent back into action. It is also learned that Sandler's fellow funnyman Rob Schneider has boarded the flick to play an East Yistannen cab driver.

After launching successful solo career, Rob Thomas takes it to the next level as the co-owner of label R Tel Records. The Matchbox 20 frontman teams up with long time pal Evan Lamberg to help new artists break the music market through the label.

The joint project came up after a musician named Garfield Mayor came at Lamberg's door and impressed him. Thomas then joined them in the middle and started writing and producing for Mayor's album. One thing that Thomas kept in mind was his significance in the process. He said, "I don't have to have any creative input whatsoever, but I'm definitely here if they want it. I'm like an in-house musician who's been through the last decade with really great success."

The latest installment in the Walt Disney Pictures seafaring tale series gloriously still fares great in the competition, raking in an estimated $51.3 million from 17,500 screens in 103 territories. In total, the flick has garnered $493.5 million overseas so far, a number that exceeds that collected by 2003's "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl."

Dermot Mulroney helps increasing the large number of Hollywood celebrities whose marriage end in divorce court. The actor has filed for divorce from Catherine Keener, his wife of over than 16 years, following their split in May 2005.

Per the court papers, filed Friday June 8th and released Monday June 11th, Mulroney cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce and is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their son, 7-year-old Clyde Keener Mulroney, while asking for property rights to be determined by the courts.
