Child star Corbin Bleu will release his debut album as a solo artist on May 1st. The title to his album is "Another Side" and is out via Hollywood Records.

Two singles from the album have been released. First single "Push It to the Limit" was released in 2006 while "Deal With It" was recently released in 2007. The former gained the post #1 on Radio Disney and also entered Billboard 100 at #14.

Still eager to keep going into producing thing, Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington is on duty to produce a film feature entitled "Journal for Jordan", based on a first-person essay published in January in the New York Times of which rights the Escape Artists has secured.

The essay, written by Dana Canedy, describes a 200-page journal made by her fiance, First Sgt. Charles Monroe King who was perished in Baghdad only one month shy of finishing his tour of duty. It contains words of wisdom for their son about how to live a proper life and to prepare him for a life without his father. King himself never got the chance to meet his own child since he had left for the Middle East before he was born.

Collecting the votes from its readers, Britain's biggest selling film magazine Empire has finally listed out the honorees of its Empire Awards of which ceremony was held in London for the twelfth time.

Based on the votes, collected from over 50,000 people, the magazine proudly gave the top prize of Best Film to latest installment of 007 series "Casino Royale", in the meantime also named stars Daniel Craig and Eva Green the Best Actor and Best Female Newcomer, respectively.

Anderson has shockingly decided to quit the flick without clear reasons and has shifted his attention to work on his other project of "Deathrace 3000" instead. The American trash metal band Slayer had joined forces with singer Marilyn Manson for an itinerary across North America. No schedule has been announced yet but the plan said that there would be 25 cities visited, beginning in East Coast on July 25.

An updated version of the 1972 thriller classic which was made based on Anthony Shaffer's Tony Award-winning play, the movie presents the story of an down-on-his-luck actor who matches wits with a wealthy writer after being found out to get involved in an affair with the man's wife. Jude Law plays the out-of-work actor while Michael Caine portrays the betrayed husband.

A Grammy winning R&B/soul singer, Patti LaBelle was honored Monday March 26th at the 18th annual Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) media awards ceremony with a Special Achievement award for championing gay and lesbian rights, and participating in the fight against AIDS.

Oscar-winning "Dreamgirl" Jennifer Hudson was the one presented the award for LaBelle. Designer Tom Ford during the same event, held in Time Square's Marriott Marquis hotel, also was presented with the Vito Russo Award for his humanitarian contributions and work with AIDS-related charities.

Striving to bounce back after getting stumbled on the disappointing result of "The Fountain", Darren Aronofsky is in negotiations to helm boxing drama "The Fighter" which is currently being set up at Paramount Pictures, Variety has learned.

Based on the life account of Boston boxer "Irish" Micky Ward, the picture takes focus on his rise to the Light Welterweight world championship with the help of his trainer who is also his down-and-out half-brother Dickie Eklund. "The Departed" stars Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon have both been poised to topline the flick as Ward and Eklund, respectively.
