Fox Searchlight and New Regency Hiring "Night Watchman"

Heading towards good progress, "The Night Watchman1" is getting big support from Fox Searchlight and New Regency as both companies have agreed to co-finance the flick together.

Originally penned by authors John Ridley and James Ellroy, the thriller drama focuses on a cop who's always done what was needed to solve homicides and crack down on gang violence. However, everything falls apart when he gets a wakeup call and decides he can no longer play the game that made him so effective.

Nominations for the 38th Annual GMA Dove Awards

Nominees for this year's Gospel Music Association's (GMA) Dove awards have been revealed Tuesday Feb 20th. Among numbers of leading nominees, Chris Tomlin is the top one. The Christian singer, who was last year's leading nominee and also Artist of the Year, leads the 38th annual GMA Dove Awards with nine nominations.

Among the awards Tomlin is up for this year include Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year for "Made to Worship," Praise and Worship Album and Pop/Contemporary Album for "See the Morning" and Special Event Album for "Passion: Everything Glorious." In addition to those, Tomlin also vies for the category of Worship Song of the Year for "Made to Worship" and "Holy Is the Lord."

HBO Films Takes Good Care of "American Girl"

The "American Girl" finally finds a new home to settle in. Recently abandoned by Walden Media which originally was in charge to handle financial matters, the project now is set to be developed under HBO Films following its acquisition to the film's rights for Picturehouse Entertainment, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.

Based on a popular line of historically accurate dolls and books for girls, the flick will present the story of one of the dolls, Kit Kittredge, and a nine-year-old girl who has to deal with hardships during the Great Depression. Apart from backing it up, HBO has also signed with the retailer to create and distribute feature films, specials and documentaries based on the girls.

This just in. Chris Tucker and India.Arie have been spotted together at star-studded events in Los Angeles, thus prompted rumors they are dating.

Tucker, an American actor and comedian who was famous for his action in the 1998 martial arts action comedy "Rush Hour" and its sequel "Rush Hour 2," was seen at the opening of Oprah Winfrey's Leadership Academy For Girls In South Africa last month with the two-time Grammy Award-winning American soul singer.

Holly Valance Gets "Taken"

Fresh from her role in game-based flick "DOA: Dead or Alive", Holly Valance is reportedly taking her next big screen acting in "Taken", which has just submitted "Lost" star Maggie Grace in the cast lineup.

No word yet on what role the beauty will play, but the film's story centers on a former spy, played by Liam Neeson, who tries to rescue his estranged daughter (Grace) upon learning that she is kidnapped by slave masters in Europe.

Tom Brady "Excited" About Becoming A Father

Listen, Tom Brady is happy about becoming a father. Speaking on his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan's pregnancy, the football star said he is "excited" about their impending child.

"Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy, and want to thank everyone who has shown support, and particularly for their consideration of Tom's privacy," Brady's agent, Don Yee, told The Associated Press Tuesday Feb 20th.

Van Halen Reunion Too Good to Be True

Do not expect much for a Van Halen reunion. That sounds too good to be true, at least for this time around. Rumor has it that the Van Halen reunion tour that was never officially announced is now officially postponed indefinitely.

Report on the band reunion first sparked after original singer David Lee Roth signed to again join with the rest of the band's line up. It was announced previously that the reunion tour will be a 40-city tour with tickets expected to go on sale this weekend.

"Rambo IV" May Have Another New Title

Seems the change of title will still afflict the fourth installment of "Rambo" series. After coming up with the name "Rambo IV: In the Serpent's Eye" then "Rambo IV: Pearl of the Cobra", the project is reportedly set to be simply called "John Rambo" instead.

The decision to rename the flick is said to come from Sylvester Stallone himself during an interview with Richard Wilkins of Australian Nine Network's Channel Nine. It is assumed that the change is an attempt to mirror the approach the actor took when he made "Rocky Balboa" for MGM.

Moss, a British supermodel, has signed a deal with the world's largest fragrance company Coty Inc. to front her own series of perfumes. The deal is said to be worth up to $9.75 million.

Among the headliners for this year's Sasquatch! Music Festival are Bjork, Beastie Boys, Arcade Fire, Interpol, and M.I.A.. As of this year, the festival is set to take place May 26-27 at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash.

Now that their divorce has been finalized, Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro are officially single again. The former husband-and-wife had a Los Angeles judge finalized their divorce Tuesday Feb 20th, with all their personal belongings have been split up as previously agreed upon in a prenuptial agreement.

Electra, a former "Baywatch" star, and Navarro, former Jane's Addiction guitarist, announced in July 2006 that they were amicably separating after less than three years of marriage. Soon thereafter by the next month, the actress filed for legal divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

U.S. Reality TV Star Nicole Richie Pleaded Not Guilty to DUI

Nicole Richie is clean. The US reality TV star was pleaded not guilty Tuesday Feb 20th to charges of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol stemming from December 2006 incident when she was seen driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway.

The socialite did not appear in the Glendale Superior Court, near Los Angeles, but her lawyer entered her plea. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for April 2nd later this year.

Newly Bald Britney Spears Goes Back Into Rehab

Britney Spears has changed her mind. The pop singer, who has just shaved off her hair, has checked herself into rehab facility after being pressured by her mom and family.

This is of course another breaking news from the star following her shocking new hairdo and tattoos. Last week, Ms Spears checked herself into Eric Clapton's Crossroads Centre rehab clinic on the Caribbean island of Antigua, but stayed only 24 hours. Now that she has checked into rehab again, let's hope she will make it 'till the end of the program.
