Jennifer Aniston Screws Her Lid on the "Counter Clockwise"

That Jennifer Aniston will produce the comedy-drama "Counter Clockwise" is true, but that she will star in it has yet been officially confirmed.

Aniston will produce the movie, written by scripter Paul Bernbaum, alongside her partner Kristin Hahn, Grant Scharbo and Gina Matthews.

"The Trunk" Cast

Oscar-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou is attached to star in the drama "The Trunk." In companion with him, there are also the likes of Brian White, Boris Kodjoe and Thomas Krestchmann, all of whom attached as his co-stars.

Wrote the script for the film is Joseph A. Elmore Jr. with Sylvain White will direct. In hand producing are Scott Aronson and Melina Kevorkian along with Kodjoe and Brian White. Shooting reportedly will begin later this year in San Fransisco.

Not only directing, but also they will executive produce the movie, with Todd Phillips is producing.

Uwe Boll to Travel "Far"

Continuing his effort in making game-to-film adaptations, German director Uwe Boll is set to develop a new one entitled "Far Cry" based on Ubisoft's videogame of the same name.

Scheduled to start filming in May 2007, the project is expected to mirror the plot of the original version which concerns a man who sets out to escape his captors after being freed by an unseen stranger. Wayne Beach is re-writing the script originally penned by duo Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer.

US Rapper Fabolous Shot, Arrested in NYC

Famous US rapper Fabolous was shot early Tuesday Oct 17th as he waited for his entourage outside a restaurant in New York. The 28-year-old star had just left Justin's, a restaurant owned by P. Diddy, with three friends when a gunman approached and opened fire.

Police spokesman Sgt. Mike Wysokowski said Fabolous was hit in the thigh. He and his entourage jumped into a 2005 Dodge Magnum and fled, attracting the attention of police when they ran a red light. And when officers stopped them, they discovered two unlicensed loaded guns in the vehicle.

New Line Cinema Counting the "Stars"

Keeps paying attention to produce book-based film projects as many as possible, New Line Cinema has safely secured the film rights to an upcoming Eileen Cook's novel, Variety has reported.

Entitled "In the Stars" just like the novel's title, the movie will likely to stay close on the basic premise of the book which follows a woman pretending to be a psychic with an aim to retrieve her boyfriend by misleading his new girlfriend. So far, no further details yet on cast and film crew, let alone its production schedule.

Making a good move as it keeps progressing smoothly, Warner Independent Pictures has satisfyingly obtained distribution rights to thriller drama "Funny Games", a Halcyon Pictures production directed by Michael Haneke.

A remake of Haneke's 1997 Austrian film of the same title, the picture revolves around two psychotic young men who take a family hostage in a vacation home invasion. Filming is currently under way in New York with Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Michael Pitt, Brady Corbet, and Devon Gearhart starring.

Panic! At the Disco can never have too many events to celebrate. What is coming for the music act is Christmas and to mark the day the band has announced they will release a special "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" gift box.

The limited-edition CD/DVD boxed set includes the band's platinum-plus debut album itself; a documentary about the band and a live performance, both filmed during Panic!'s July 22 show at the Fillmore Theatre in Denver; and a treasure trove of other "stuff" that includes a cabaret mask, a blank diary, a poster, and a phenakistoscope, a hand-held animation device that was popular in the 1800's.

Back to the big screen after his last feature directorial work of "Raise Your Voice" for New Line Cinema, California-based filmmaker Sean McNamara has reportedly been appointed to helm "Bratz: The Movie", a live-action feature of the popular toy franchise of which spin-off products include a magazine and an animated series on 4 KidsTV.

A collaborative project of MGA Entertainment, Inc., Avi Arad Productions, and Crystal Sky Pictures which handles the film's financial matters, pic is tentatively slated to begin filming early February in Los Angeles with John Doolittle penning the script. Isaac Larian, Avi Arad, and Steven Paul are all producing while Benedict Carver will executive produce.

The former Spice Girl was shopping in West Hollywood's La Bra Lingerie boutique Saturday, Oct. 14 when she revealed that she was four months pregnant. She, moreover, added that she was concerned she may be carrying twins since they apparently run in Murphy's family.

Making a reunion after teaming up in DreamWorks upcoming comedy "Norbit", director Brian Robbins and Eddie Murphy are ready to work together in "Starship Dave", a new comedic project currently in pre-production at 20th Century Fox.

Scheduled to start production in March, pic tells about a crew of miniature, human-looking aliens who tries to find a way to save their doomed world. Murphy is billed as the titular character who is a human spacecraft the group travel in as well as the captain.
