Larry Brown's "The Rabbit Factory" Is Heading the Big Screen

Another factory is lining up for the silver screen, and it is Lionsgate's turn to build. Based on Larry Brown's ultimate piece of work, "The Rabbit Factory", Ithaka Entertainment is pointed to produce the big screen version of the novel.

Several names have been attached to share the credit titles. Vondie Curtis-Hall directs the movie, who previously helmed the action-thriller, "Waist Deep". Meanwhile, the adaptation to the big screen version is done by Thom Jones, a finalist on National Book Award, who is also a short story writer.

Another new buzz on Natalie Portman follows the recent news upon her possibility in playing a role in Michael Chabon's Pulitzer-winning book, "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay". The actress is revealed to join the actor playing as Bruce Benner in "Hulk", Eric Bana.

Both of them will play the leading roles in a screenplay by Sony Pictures, "The Other Boleyn Girl", a historical novel-based movie. Portman as Anne will strive inside and out, in the heart and the bed against her sister, Mary, for Bana, who plays as King Henry VIII.

It's a happy day for Heidi Klum and her husband Seal as they are waiting for the coming of the new addition to their family. The German supermodel and her singer-songwriter husband are expecting another baby, that's the point.

"It gives me great joy to announce that Heidi, Leni, Henry and I are expecting a new addition to our ever increasing family," Seal said in a statement to People magazine. "We all feel both excited and fortunate to be able to share this experience once again."

The sassy, feisty and independent fairy is the next Disney Toon Studios and Walt Disney Home Entertainment movie plan to launch in the autumn of 2007. It is Ashton Kutcher's former lover, Brittany Murphy who receives the honorary to voice over the spunky, magical fairy.

Bass Player Quits Arctic Monkeys

The so-called best British rock band Arctic Monkeys confirmed in a statement posted Monday June 19th, 2006 on their Website that bass player Andy Nicholson has left the group after pulling out of a North American tour last month.

"We are sad to tell everyone that Andy is no longer with the band," so the statement on www.arcticmonkeys.com read. "We have been mates with Andy for a long time and have been through some amazing things together that no one can take away. We all wish Andy the very best."

Pulitzer-Winner Book Is Starring Portman?

Following her dazzling performance as Padme in the legendary "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith", the Golden Globe winner, Natalie Portman is attached into a Pulitzer-winner book-adapted screenplay.

The world-class award-winner book, "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay" is going to have Stephen Daldry in the director credit. So far, there hasn't been any further detail on the one to write the script for the big screen adaptation. The story goes around two comic creators, Josef Kavalier and Sammy Clayman, who appear to be cousins. They created a comic entitled "The Escapist", and further had to encounter adventures they had to escape from.

Details on OutKast's New Album & Movie

OutKast takes off in 2006 with two new projects all at once, the first of which happens to be a new album and the other one is a movie project. The Atlanta hip hop-duo set to hit hard the industry with the release of their highly anticipated set, titled "Idlewild", which will hit store shelves on Aug. 22.

The long-anticipated release will serve as the soundtrack for the Universal/HBO Films release of the same name, open August 25, as well. Also starring in the big-screen musical are Ving Rhames, Ben Vereen, Cicely Tyson, Patti LaBelle and Macy Gray.

A trio of record labels, J, Epic and Legacy Records, are teaming up together to issue some previously unreleased songs by the singer. The set, dubbed "The Ultimate Luther Vandross", which was previously released in 2001, will consists of 18 songs, naming some are "Shine" and "Got You Home" among others.

The involvement of Roselyn Sanchez in the family comedy, "The Game Plan" has to meet temporarily postponement. The hiatus has to take place after the leading role, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, got injured on a football practice as his preparation to play the cast as a professional quarter back in the movie.

Johnson got his Achilles tendon discordant, a common one to occur in the sport game, leaving him with an operation schedule with a world-class orthopedic surgeon Dr. John W. Uribe. The operation itself is set this Friday in Miami. He stated that trainings for pro athletes do "hard and get hurt", a total contrary to what he might have imagined.

Both bands have on Tuesday June 20th, 2006 released announcement on the plan of their Evil run, scheduled to kick off September 14 in Holmdel, New Jersey. Some stops will include outdoor amphitheatres in Cincinnati, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Dallas, before grinding to a halt in West Palm Beach, Florida, November 24.

After named as the Most Powerful Celebrity by Forbes magazine, the sensational Tom Cruise is seeking chances to be powerful enough to take Tokyo's hectic traffic at night. Cruise, on a news conference during the "Mission: Impossible 3" premiere in Japan, is targeting the night traffic for one whole week as a part in the "would forever remember" movie scene for his new untitled movie project.

The "Last Samurai" star and producer has even met Japan's Transport Minister, Kazuo Kitagawa, who supports his plan and acknowledges it as a way of promoting the country. It seems Cruise has been very much determined indeed, especially after his chartering the 1,300 seat famous shinkansen, Japanese bullet train last Wednesday to take his 150 fans for a Tokyo-Osaka trip as a form of the movie publication. Mission: Impossible 3 will be released in Japan on July 8, 2006.

This summer of 2006 appears to be the time for some feast of love for Radha Mitchell, Golden Globe winner, Morgan Freeman, and the new daddy Greg Kinnear. They are confirmed to take part in the new drama produced by the Lakeshore Entertainment, "Feast of Love".

The movie itself is another novel-based, this time by Charles Baxter, telling the story of a group of friends in Oregon with their life-lesson journey in love. Kinnear plays as the partner of a tricky real estate agent, played by Mitchell, in their love affair.
