Jon Heder Attached to Star in "Loudermilk"

Hollywood actor Jon Heder has been attached by Universal Pictures to star in the forthcoming flick "Loudermilk" soon as the studio has pre-emptively picked up the project from Chris Bowman.

Despite its widely known concept which supposedly is comedy, details on the story are being kept under wraps. Meanwhile, it is said that Heder also is producing with his brothers Dan Heder and Doug Heder via their Universal-based company Greasy Entertainment.

Whoopi Goldberg to Guest-Star on "Law & Order"

Academy Award-winning American comedian and film actress Whoopi Goldberg has been se to guest-star on the NBC drama "Law & Order: Criminal Intent". The star will portray Chesley Watkins, a foster mother gone bad.

Moreover, it is said that the character, which is shaped up as a criminal nemesis to Detective Mike Logan played by Chris Noth, will be introduced in an episode of "CI" slated to air in May.

The singer has on Wednesday April 5th, 2006 at the 37th annual Dove Awards picked Country Recorded Song of the Year award thanks to her single "Jesus, Take the Wheel" from album "Some Hearts".

Pearl Jam's Itinerary

Has yet completed the first leg of their North American tour, which will take place June 3rd later this year, Pearl Jam has set additional tour schedule. The music act has planned to return to the road June 23 in Pittsburgh with fourteen dates are set for the second leg through a July 22 show at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash.

The latter gig reportedly will be "an evening with" Pearl Jam and thus won't feature an opening act. However, fans will be treated with performance from Sonic Youth who is slated to support on all but the first two second leg shows, which will boast a performance by former Guided By Voices frontman Robert Pollard.

50 Cent is going to have more and more activities in his agenda. The hip hoper has been attached by Universal Pictures to team up with veteran actor Nicolas Cage to star in the upcoming drama "The Dance".

Based on the life of prison boxing coach Billy "The Kid" Roth, the flick is being directed by John Darling Haynes and produced by Eric Geadelmann. Slated to write the script is Neil Tolkin.

Guess Who's Back in Divorce Court? It's Eminem

Eminem and Kim Mathers to divorce. Again. Less than three months after remarrying his ex-wife Kim, the rapper has on Wednesday April 5th, 2006 filed divorce.

The divorce petition, filed on behalf of Marshall Bruce Mathers III, was the second after Eminem first filed for divorce in August 2000 after two years marriage. In the meantime there was no reason given for the breakup.

Woody Allen's untitled Paris-set movie apparently has attracted the attention of Michelle Williams that she has signed to star in. While details on the story are being kept under wraps, it is obvious that it will focus on young Americans in the City of Lights.

Written and directed by Allen, the movie is being produced by Letty Aronson, Stephen Tenenbaum and Gareth Wiley. Meanwhile, in hand executive producing are Vincent Maraval, Benjamin Waisbren and Daniel Wuhrmann, with production begins in the summer.

Top 10 Albums Debuted on the U.S. Pop Charts

In a recap of the Top 10 albums on the US pop album charts for the week ended Sunday, there's something interesting that people could obviously see. It's the new chart-topper which debuts on its very top position.

The top spot on the Billboard 200 surprisingly is seized by Atlanta rapper T.I., whose album "King" sold almost 522,000 copies, such amount enough to push last week chart topper Prince's "3121" aside to No. 8 with only 75,000 copies. Checking in at No. 2 in the meantime is Tim McGraw's "Reflected: Greatest Hits Vol. 2," which sold 242,000 copies.

Also known as American Latino Media Arts Awards, the award event honors artistic achievement by Hispanics in music, television and film. Banderas Signed on to Play Spanish Conqueror

Antonio Banderas bravely facing the challenge. The actor has signed on to star in the action drama "Conquistador". There in the flick he is about to portray Spanish conqueror Hernan Cortes.

The story follows the expedition that sailed west from Cuba in 1519 in hopes of expanding the Spanish Empire. Cortes and his band of soldiers came upon what is now Mexico and swiftly brought about the destruction of the Aztec empire led by Moctezuma.
