"Manilow: Music and Passion" Hit Stores March 28

Great singer Barry Manilow will have his performances in DVD set. DVD supplier Rhino Entertainment has inked a deal with the star and Stiletto New Media to distribute Manilow's performances on DVD.

The first set under the deal is "Manilow: Music and Passion," which chronicles the 100th performance of Manilow's hit stage show at the Las Vegas Hilton and was filmed in high definition by PBS. It will hit the market March 28 later this year.

LL Cool J to Release "Todd Smith"

As a follow up to his 2004 album "The Definition," LL Cool J will have his next set "Todd Smith" released on March 21 later this year.

The new album among others consist tracks like "It's LL and Santana" featuring Juelz Santana, "Control Myself" featuring Jennifer Lopez and Jermaine Dupri, and "Favorite Flavor" featuring Mary J. Blige.

John Schwartzman Goes to "Carlisle School"

Oscar-nominated cinematographer John Schwartzman is about to make his directorial debut in the forthcoming drama flick "Carlisle School." In hand producing is Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray along with John Fusco and Jim Crabbe.

As of the story, "Carlisle School" tells the true story of a ragtag team of American Indian football players, led by future sports legend and Olympic gold medallist Jim Thorpe. The men attended the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, a boarding school in Pennsylvania that from 1879-1918 housed American Indians from childhood through college. The men overcame long odds in the early part of the 20th century to defeat some of the best college football teams in the nation.

Koltai Is in Final Negotiations to Direct Evening

Lajos Koltai is in final talks to take the director seat of the upcoming film "Evening." The screen adaptation of Susan Minot's best-selling novel of the same name is the story of a woman, reflecting back on one weekend in her youth when she met the love of her life, as her two daughters try to come to terms with the mother's impending death while struggling with their own personal issues.

Adapted Minot's book is Minot with the help of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Cunningham. Production on "Evening" is scheduled to begin in June later this year in Rhode Island.

Willie Nelson Released Gay-Themed Song

Valentine's Day is just perfect for Willie Nelson to release his new song, a gay cowboy song entitled "Cowboys Are Secretly, Frequently (Fond of Each Other)."

Has nothing to do with the box office hit "Brokeback Mountain," the song was written in 1981 by Texas-born singer-songwriter Ned Sublette. It is said that he wrote it during the "Urban Cowboy" craze and always imagined Nelson singing it.

My Blueberry Nights, Norah Jones' Movie Debut

Grammy-winning singer Norah Jones is about to make his movie debut in a film from Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai. Entitled "My Blueberry Nights," the film indeed is Wong's first English-language film.

Details on the new movie remain secret, though a source claimed that the story wouldn't revolve around the Hurricane Katrina disaster in the U.S. as reported earlier. It also won't be shot in New York doubling as New Orleans.

Ridley Scott in Talks to Direct American Gangster

Variety reported that Ridley Scott is interested and still in talks to direct the upcoming film "American Gangster." Of drama genre, the story revolves around a Harlem heroin kingpin who figured out a way to smuggle heroin in the coffins of American soldiers returning from the Vietnam War.

Acts as producer is Brian Grazer, while set to star in is Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington. Shooting reportedly is expected to begin this summer. Stay tuned for further details.

Go join the bid and get the precious shirts. The sale ends next Monday Feb 20th, 2006 at 5 p.m. PT. And by Tuesday morning Feb 14th, the bid had reached $20,450. "We're overwhelmed by the bidding," the charity's executive director, Maria Schmidt, tells the paper. "This is already way over what any of us thought the shirts would bring."

"SPLIT! And Katie's 7 Months Pregnant." That's the Feb. 27 cover story of Life & Style read. Meanwhile, "Not true" was the response released by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Tuesday Feb 14th to the Valentine's day report.

In a press release and brief report on its Website, Life & Style released a report claiming the Hollywood actor and his pregnant fiancee have split up. Furious over the report, Arnold Robinson, a publicist for the couple, said in a statement "It should be known that the story is 100 percent false. Mr. Cruise and Ms. Holmes are still engaged and are moving forward with their wedding plans, as well as planning for the arrival of their child."

Shannen Doherty Involved in A Car Accident

Shannen Doherty, the "Charmed" star was involved in a car accident Monday Feb 13th, 2006 on the Pacific Coast Highway, California. The actress was driving her Range Rover and making a left turn onto the Pacific Coast Highway at 10:17 a.m. when there was a collision with a Ford Mustang.

The accident left her with cuts and bruises, while the driver of the other car was soon then rushed to hospital and released, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. Meanwhile, Doherty "went in a private car to Cedars-Sinai [Medical Center]. She refused to go in an ambulance. She was examined in the emergency room for thigh bruises and cuts," her rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik revealed.
