Jessica Simpson Is one of "Desperate Housewives"

Maybe wants to learn something from those "Desperate Housewives," Jessica Simpson has been reported to beg for a cameo appearance on the hit show and lucky then that she secures one.

An insider from the show said as quoted by MSN, "There's talk of her being on an episode or two." Moreover, Simpson also is said to already get along with the other cast and even been recently seen having lunch with Eva Longoria.

A Director's Cut of "Kingdom of Heaven" Released

Willing to treat moviegoers with something distinct and special of course, Fox is releasing a director's cut of action drama flick "Kingdom of Heaven," in which filmmaker Ridley Scott has added 45 minutes to the original's 145-minute running time.

The director's cut is about to be screened exclusively at the Laemmle Fairfax Theater in Los Angeles. To note, the original cut has become a breakout hit on DVD, where it topped both the DVD sales and rental charts its first week out in October.

Socialite Kimberly Stewart prompted rumors on her comeback with former fiance Talan Torriero after the twosome was spotted together only weeks after they called off their 11-days engagement. By that time Kimberly said it was "too soon" to make such a serious commitment.

In fact, she was then seen at Hollywood bar Mood on December 14, with Torriero, holding hands and looked very happy. Though, a friend of theirs said "They're just in hook-up mode right now. Don't expect to see a ring on her finger again any time soon!"

Newly-single Nick Lachey is said to have tried to sell his story to OK! magazine. The man apparently has been in talks to reveal all about his split with Jessica Simpson. And the complete story of that cost OK! an amount of $300,000.

It's A.J. DiScala who is claimed to be asked by Lachey to act on his behalf to negotiate with the magazine. However, Lachey's representative, Mr. Shawn Sachs, obviously denied all those accusations saying "Drew Lachey, Nick's manager, has not spoken to OK! magazine about any interview deal. Any report to the contrary is false. A.J. is Nick's good friend."

Courtney Love Sells Historic Home to Satisfy Debts

Troubled rocker Courtney Love is going broke. Well at least she's close to that line. A house in Washington state house that she bought for late husband Kurt Cobain's family is to be auctioned because she has failed to pay the mortgage.

Love, as mentioned in the court papers, owes 367,836 dollars to WMC Mortgage Corp. of Los Angeles, which filed for foreclosure in Superior Court.

Gwen Stefani has been reported pregnant. Is that true? Absolutely. The singer has on Wednesday evening at a concert in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., confirmed that she indeed is pregnant with her first child with husband Gavin Rossdale.

During her Fort Lauderdale, Florida show earlier this week at the Bank Atlantic Center, Stefani confirmed onstage that she was going to be a mom. "I want you to sing so loud that the baby hears it," Stefani told the audience as she performed the song "Crash."

It takes only one day for British girl group Sugababes to find the replacement of former bandmate Mutya Buena. Amelle Berrabah, an unknown singer, has on Thursday Dec 22nd named as the band's new member, joining two remaining members Heidi Range and Keisha Buchanan.

"For years I've dreamt of breaking into the music business but never did I dream of waking up one day to be the 3rd Sugababe," said Berrabah. "Like millions of girls my age, I've grown up with Sugababes' music as a soundtrack to my life and I've been a fan of theirs for years. I still can't believe my luck."

Joaquin Phoenix to Attend Walk the Line Screening

20th Century Fox revealed on Wednesday that they are about to screen Johnny Cash biopic, "Walk the Line." The film's star Joaquin Phoenix is set to attend the January 3, 2006 screening takes place at Folsom State Prison.

"We invited 20th Century Fox to screen 'Walk the Line' at Folsom because the lesson of Johnny Cash is that it's never too late for a man to turn his life around, and that's a story these men need to hear," said Joe Avila, California executive director of the nonprofit Prison Fellowship.

China, the country known for its typical limit on foreign film releases to about a dozen each year, finally approved the release of Disney's hit fantasy film "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" in its local theater in spring 2006.

The Walt Disney Co said on Thursday that the Chinese government has approved the release of the flick, which is expected to score great ticket sales as that it did earlier this month in US and international markets with $200 million in global ticket sales.

J. Blige to Live up the 2006 Essence Music Fest

Organizers of the annual Essence Music Festival has on Monday announced the name of Mary J. Blige as one of the performers set to perform at its 2006 event. The gala, sponsored by Essence magazine, supposedly to be held in the Superdome in New Orleans just the way it used to be since the year of 1995.

Yet, it is temporarily moved to Houston as New Orleans continues to rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. The 2006 festival will be held July 1-3 at Houston's Reliant Park and will feature several concerts, a marketplace and empowerment seminars as well. Proceeds from the event will be aimed at helping victims of Katrina. Also the organizers said that other performers would be announced in coming weeks.

Velvet Underground to Release Reunion DVD

Velvet Underground is slated to have their reunion DVD, "Live MCMXCIII," released January 24 next year via Archival label Rhino Records. Chronicles the legendary act's brief 1993 reunion tour, the set previously only available on VHS and was taped June 15-17, 1993, at Paris' Olympia.

It consisted of classic tracks, like "Venus in Furs," "Femme Fatale," "Rock'n'Roll," "Sweet Jane," "I'm Waiting for the Man," "Heroin" and "Pale Blue Eyes." More on the set, "Live MCMXCIII" actually was the final performances of VU guitarist Sterling Morrison with bandmates Lou Reed, John Cale and Maureen Tucker before he finally died of cancer in 1995.

Pink Floyd's David Gilmour's Solo Tour

David Gilmour of the rock band Pink Floyd has planned a solo tour. The singer and guitarist has scheduled 10 U.S. and Canadian dates in April as an attempt to support his upcoming solo studio album, "On an Island."

"I've had a fantastic time making On an Island and really want to perform tracks from it, along with my more familiar repertoire," Gilmour said. The tour reportedly will begin April 4 next year at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
