"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" will soon be revealed as Owen Wilson has reached the deal to star as its title character, a quintessential daydreamer whose vivid imagination allows him to escape from the mundane constraints of his ordinary life. The film, which is the remake of the 1947 Danny Kaye classic, will be directed by Mark Waters with Richard LaGravenese wrote the screenplay. In details, the plot will not be based on the original movie but it will more or less closer to the spirit and content of the original source material, the 1939 James Thurber story.

This isn't unreasonable that DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures announced Wednesday "Transformers" release date will coincide with America's Independence Day. The long-planned movie based on the robot-morphing cartoon, comic and toy franchise will roll into theaters July 4, 2007. Set to direct is Michael Bay, while Steven Spielberg will executive produce.

Vince Vaughn and Isla Fisher are teaming up to star in David Dobkin's "Wedding Crashers." The movie is about two divorce mediators and lifelong friends, portrayed by Vaughn and Fisher, who find their way into a different wedding and different bridesmaid's heart every week. One of them later falls for the engaged daughter, played by Rachel McAdams, of an influential and eccentric politician and decides to pursuit her. Unfortunately, they have to face the social event of the season. Curious to know how the characters deal with such difficulty? Just watch and see.

Variety reported that actress Jeri Ryan will be appearing in a recurring role on "The O.C." during the forthcoming third season. There she will play the role of Charlotte Morgan, a woman with a secret who befriends with Kristen Cohen, played by Kelly Rowan, while Cohen in rehab. Furthermore, Ryan is expected to star in at least seven episodes of the Warner Bros. TV-produced series, which starts its third season in September 8th at 8/7c.

Hollywood actress Uma Thurman is reported to star in a new romantic comedy called "Super Ex." Co-starring Thurman is actor Luke Wilson. "Super Ex" revolves the story of Thurman's superhero character who falls in love with an ordinary man played by Wilson. He's got no issues with her superpowers, but just can't handle her neediness. And when he dumps her she uses her superpowers to make the man's life miserable. Set to direct the movie is Ivan Reitman, with Don Payne writing the script.

Music or politics are all ok for music group Pearl Jam, whose members will all jam Missoula, Mont. August 29 to raise money for a U.S. Senate bid by Democrat Jon Tester. The show will be held at Adams Center and tickets will go on sale July 23 via Tickets West.

To your notice, Tester, currently Montana Senate president, is one of several Democrats competing to challenge U.S. Senator Conrad Burns, a Republican seeking his fourth term. As for Pearl Jam itself, the group is reportedly still at work on its as-yet-untitled 8th studio album, due early next year via Sony BMG Music's J Records label.

The 2005 Teen Choice Awards will be held August 16 this year in Los Angeles and several names to live up the event have come up. Teen actress Hilary Duff and Rob Schneider are the two names appeared to co-host the ceremony, set to hand awards such as Choice Liplock, Choice Movie Chemistry and Choice Male Hottie. Another name mentioned is Gwen Stefani who is slated to kickoff the show with a performance of "Hollaback Girl" and will also be honored with the Teen Choice Visionary Award.

Colombian singer Shakira has signed on to perform at the fourth annual MTV Video Music Awards Latin America, taking place October 20 in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The show will be aired in over 24 Latin American countries. Other performances including Good Charlotte, Simple Plan and Foo Fighters, all of whom are among the first artists confirmed to perform at the show.

Also it is reported that MTV channels worldwide will air an "MTV Live Shakira" special this month, featuring the singer's first live performances of material from her current album, "Fijacion Oral 1," which was recorded in Madrid in June and features the duet, "La Tortura," with Alejandro Sanz. The show will premiere July 13 on MTV Spain, in the United States July 14, and on both MTV Hits and MTV Latin America July 23 before then aired on MTV channels worldwide.

In the wake of many new interesting movies emergence, HDNet Films present "All Fall Down," which is directed by Matthew Tauber and has begun its production June 27 in New York and wraps July 25. The movie, tells about a conflict between an architect and an activist, who has to live in a dangerous complex the architect designed, will star Anthony LaPaglia, Viola Davis, Isabella Rossellini and Hayden Panettiere.

For this new project, Gary Fleder has signed on to direct. "The Express" is based on Robert Gallagher's book, "Ernie Davis: The Elmira Express" and will revolve the story of football great Ernie Davis, who broke college records and racial barriers in the early 1960s.

Has himself checked into hospital on Monday night with flu-like symptoms complaint, Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt has been diagnosed with a mild case of viral meningitis and was released from the hospital Wednesday. Further the actor's publicist, Cindy Guagenti said "The actor is at home and doing well."

One more celebrity got caught in another "wardrobe malfunction" reminiscent of Janet Jackson's. This time, the infamous incident happened to Pop star Mariah Carey who accidentally showed off her breast at stunned fans during a TV show in Germany when her dress fell apart.

Fortunately, floor managers soon saved her from further shame as he cut the lights to let Carey recover her clothes, and most of all her self-esteem. Beyond all, the star could still think positive, commenting "Someone bring me a jacket or the show's off, we all know how quickly these images can spread around the world." And so, the show must go on.

It's been so long that Bob Dylan has been working in music industry. And now what's fresh and new from the countryman is that he's going to release his double-disc set in August 30 this year. The given title "No Direction Home: The Soundtrack" contains the singer's more than two-dozen previously unreleased.

Firstly featured in "No Direction Home" is "When I Got Troubles," which is believed to be the first original song Dylan ever recorded. Also the will be a live version of Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land" from a 1961 show at New York's Carnegie Hall and alternate takes of "Mr. Tambourine Man," "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" and "She Belongs to Me" from the 1964-65 "Bringing It All Back Home" sessions.

R. Kelly is no longer "Trapped in the Closet," as his new album entitled "TP.3 Reloaded," from which the single taken from, topped U.S. pop albums chart Wednesday with 490,500 copies sold in the week ended July 10, an amount that is higher than its last week which only 491,000 copies. At No. 2 on the chart was Missy Elliott's "The Cookbook," with 176,000 copies, followed by former chart-topper Coldplay, whose "X&Y" spent a second straight week at #3 with nearly 127,000 scans.

Remained at No. 4 with 116,000 copies was Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi." Meanwhile, Ying Yang Twins' "U.S.A.: United States of Atlanta" fell three places to No. 5 with 101,000 units, whereas last week's champ George Strait's "Somewhere Down in Texas" slipped to No. 6 with 91,000 copies. "Monkey Business" of the Black Eyed Peas slipped one to No. 7 with 75,000 copies, after which there was Louisiana rapper Webbie whose "Savage Life" sold for an estimated of 68,000 copies. Fell two to No. 9 with 66,000 copies was Foo Fighters' "In Your Honor," while rounding out the top 10 was Gwen Stefani's "Love, Angel, Music, Baby" with 62,000 copies.
