Ladies Tilly No-Limit

Oscar-nominee actress Jennifer Tilly has won the Ladies no-limit Texas Hold 'Em event at the World Series of Poker, becoming the first celebrity to win an event at the famous tournament. The 46-years-old star's skillful play, prop up with good luck, led her to beat 600 players to capture first place in a two-day event featuring some of the top female professionals in the world, earning her $158,625.

Pet Shop Boys to Headline Live 8 Concert

Additional Moscow installment of Saturday's Live 8 concerts brings the Live 8 show count to 10, which among others include London, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Philadelphia, Tokyo, Johannesburg, Toronto, and Edinburgh. The free show will be held Saturday in Red Square and will feature such popular Russian bands, as Pet Shop Boys, Bravo, B-2, Moral Code X, Valery Sutkin and Spleen.

Minogue Set to Headline Glastonbury Festival

Is now recuperating after underwent a surgery to remove a lump from her breast, Aussie pop diva Kylie Minogue has gotten such an interesting invitation to headline the next Glastonbury Festival in 2007. Confirming this, Glastonbury organizer Michael Eavis said "We sent a message to Kylie wishing her well. And maybe we can get her for 2007."

Starbucks Reached a Deal with Dylan

Legend Bob Dylan inks a deal with Starbucks Coffee Co. as it's agreed to produce and exclusively release a CD of his 10 recordings from New York's Gaslight Cafe in 1962. And so, "Bob Dylan: Live at the Gaslight 1962" will be available at Starbucks stores in the United States and Canada on August 30.

The CD, includes the earliest known recordings of "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" and "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right," as well as folk standards "Barbara Allen" and "The Cuckoo," will cost $13.95 at Starbucks' 4,600 U.S. stores.

Nick of BSB Pleaded Guilty to DUI Charges

And there goes the costly prices of DUI charges Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys has to pay due to his March drunken driving charge. Worked out a deal with prosecutors in Orange County, California, Nick has to enter three years' informal probation. Moreover, he also has to pay $1,200 fine, besides entering a three-month alcohol-awareness program and restricted driving privileges for 90 days.

U2 Vs Blackmailer

Dublin-based rock band U2 suing their ex-hairstylist, Lola Cashman, for blackmailing them and illegally selling their personal belongings. The band members are attempting to get back their $6000 worth of souvenirs, including a Stetson cowboy hat, sweatshirt, trousers and earrings worn by Bono during the band's 1987 "Joshua Tree" world tour, and also the 200 photos of the tour.

In relation with that case, U2 lawyer Paul Sreenan, has on Tuesday told Dublin Circuit Court Judge Matthew Deery that Bono and other members of the band would testify that they hadn't given any of the items to Cashman, who was also accused of claiming inappropriate expenses during the tour. Further, Sreenan said in a statement that the band hoped the judge would issue a judgment that Cashman should not continue to possess or try to sell any of the materials in dispute, just like he once did in 2002.

Destiny's Child Among BET Awards Winners

The soon going to disband music group still makes the best they can that they, Destiny's Child, was named Best Group at Tuesday night's BET Awards. Just like what they do, the still exist R&B singer Usher also brought home the Male R&B Artist trophy.

In addition to both, there was R&B newcomer John Legend who was named Best New Artist, and soul diva Alicia Keys who grabbed Female R&B Artist award. Some other winners, include Kanye West; Male Hip-Hop Artist, Gladys Knight; Lifetime Achievement, Regina King; Actress, and Jamie Foxx; Actor.
