November 11, 2009 09:11:27Having been married to Shaquille O'Neal since 2002, Shaunie Nelson is seeking legal action to end her marriage to the basketball player. Weekly magazine People reports Shaunie filed for divorce papers in a Los Angeles court on Monday, November 9, citing irreconcilable differences for the break-up of their nearly seven years marriage.
The divorce documents listed Shaunie is seeking sole custody of their four minor children with visitation right to be granted for Shaquille. She, moreover, asks for an unspecified amount of money for child support.

It has been confirmed that Shaunie escaped serious injury and she herself has tweeted of her latest condition, writing "super sore...but I'm good."
Chronicling the accident, Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Kim Miller has told the Associated Press that Shaunie was making her way to the Orlando airport on Tuesday, July 21 when the town car she was in was rear-ended by another car at an intersection. Authorities said Shaunie's car had stopped at the intersection when the light turned yellow, but driver of the other car didn't stop.

Shaunie was quick to response on his divorce filing, seeking to get details on his finance. But in a recent interview with Extra, she said she and O'Neal have reconciled, adding that getting back together was the right thing to do.
"Things are great and we're moving on to the good stuff," Extra quoted Shaunie as saying. "We've both learned a lot and know that our family comes first and that's the main thing for both of us."

In the list of her request for production to Shaq, Shaunie among others required federal and state income tax returns for Shaq from the year 2004 to 2006; a copy of his current player contract with the Miami Heat, reportedly worth $100 million, including all predecessor contracts with the team; and list of the property he currently owned whether held in the name of Shaq personally and or any other person(s).

Sad to say that the almost-five-years marriage of Shaquille O'Neal and wife Shaunie Nelson has taken its toll. The American professional basketball player has, through his attorney Ira Elegant, filed for divorce Tuesday September 4th.
"The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken," his petition said in a statement. The pair has a "Cohabitation/Prenuptial Agreement and Acknowledgment of Property Disclosure and Waiver of Further Disclosure," the petition stated further, adding that a copy of their agreement "will be filed . . . under seal" if the court allows and "contains extensive provisions providing for confidentiality and non-disclosure."

When Shaquille O'Neal does something, he always does it in the biggest way possible. And in case of showing his deep concern toward overweight kids, the NBA superstar will be taking a shot at a TV reality show focused on childhood obesity and health.
The as-yet untitled six-episode series, to be screened by Disney-owned ABC this summer, will feature the Miami Heat star and his effort to help Florida schoolchildren lose weight. Being filmed in Broward County, Fla., the series will furthermore track the lives of the children involved. O'Neal will be on hand as booster and, in episodes yet to be shot, will lobby politicians on causes including school nutrition.

The baby girl, born Monday May 1st, 2006 at 4:57 a.m. in Miami, weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz., and was 21 1/2 inches long. And "Shaq is thrilled," a source said.
