In music field, it was revealed that the likes of David Archuleta, Pitbull, Demi Lovato and Christina Aguilera appear in the list.
Celebrating the outstanding achievements of Latinos in entertainment, this year's ALMA Awards will take place on September 17 at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus and broadcast the next day at 8:00 - 10:00 P.M. EST on ABC. This will be the first time the awards is conducted during National Hispanic Heritage Month, in which American learn about the Latino community and celebrate the contributions that Latinos have made to the country throughout its history.
Kat DeLuna's Brand New Song 'Dance Bailalo'
April 07, 2009 09:04:53Kat DeLuna's fresh material entitled "Dance Bailalo" from her upcoming second studio album "Inside Out" has been released. Sung bilingual, half in English and half in Spanish, the track is premiered on 97.9 NYC and will reportedly serve as the second single off the new album.
Following the release of the song, Kat will hold a dance competition on her YouTube where dancers will be given a chance to upload a video showing their hottest dance moves. "I will then look at the best submissions and pick the one with the hottest moves. The winners will have a chance to appear in the music video with me," so she says.

January 24, 2009 09:01:38Dominican singer Kat DeLuna promised a smashing 2009 and she begins with the music video premiere of "Unstoppable" on January 23. The 21-year-old nabbed the favor of Lil Wayne to be the collaborator of the song and to appear in the video which was shot in Brooklyn.
"Unstoppable" is the first single from DeLuna's sophomore album "Inside Out" which is planned to be released later this summer. The single itself is planned to be spun in radio outlets in March and released as a physical CD on February 24. Speaking about the single DeLuna gushed, "The song is a smash," adding that it is "a little bit different...but crazy."

The video was shot in the Dominican Republic and it shows her singing the song with several backing dancers through the street of a China town. Quick stroll of her on-bed and by-swimming pool is also viewed during the video set.
"Am I Dreaming" is a new single produced by top-notched producer RedOne and listed on DeLuna's debut effort, "9 Lives". Listing Elephant Man, Shaka Dee, and Don Omar as her collaborators, the Epic Record's album has hit the U.S. market on August 7, 2007.

"In the End" is a dance/pop track from DeLuna's debut studio album "9 Lives". Having been released since August 2007, the RedOne-produced effort debuted at number 58 on Billboard Hot 200 Albums chart with 11,000 copies sold in its first week of sale.

Excited to "step into a new phase" of her career, DeLuna says, "As a young artist, I am always looking for innovative ways to expand my opportunities, from recording to performing, and I felt this was the right time to make a change."
Thanking "everyone at Epic Records" for having supported her singing career, DeLuna wishes "them all the best." According to Singersroom, the pop/R&B musician, best known for her 2007 hit single "Whine Up" featuring Elephant Man, was released from her contract due to poor sales of her 2007 debut album "9 Lives". Representative from Epic Records hasn't given any statement concerning the issue.

At the beginning, the 20-year-old singer had a good start but in the middle of her live performance, she forgot some of the lyrics, resulting on disappointed murmur from the Texas crowd.
The negative response also happened due to the addition of several extra lyrics that she threw into the performance to cover the missing ones. To make matters worse, she used violent body gesticulations to match her powerful voice and that got her hard booed by the audience.

"Run the Show" the second single from her debut album "9 Lives" (2007) reportedly has two different versions of the video, English and Spanish, but the one pulled first is the former.
She shot the video back in January and its premiere date was set for March 13. While the English version features Rhymes, the Spanish one is expected to feature Don Omar. Interestingly, the album version of the song is featuring none of the rappers but includes a vocal appearance from Shaka Dee.

As her second single from her newly released album '9 Lives', teen sensation Kat DeLuna has chosen 'Am I Dreaming'. The song, that follows 'Whine Up', features bachata, a Dominican Republic's popular guitar-driven variation of romantic music.
A video for the single has been shot in the Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo, the singer's Carribean hometown. "I'm dancing bachata in (it)," DeLuna revealed. "I wanna show people how to dance bachata."

Very well-known for its support in movie industry through Happy Meal, McDonald's is now working extra for its music sponsorship segment. The fast food chain is lining up Ne-Yo, Kat DeLuna and Twista as artists to grace their first music tour.
The live music shows that will be held at the restaurants' parking lots will take a 10 course dates, visiting cities with McDonald's outlets in it. Approximately 500 to 1,500 people are allowed to attend the free shows based on first come first served. The shows will be set off at 6.30 p.m.

On full throttle, rising star Kat Deluna is not only setting the date of her debut album "9 Lives", but also releasing the first single's music video. Upbeat "Whine Up" featuring Elephant Man premiered on her MySpace site.
Initially DeLuna opened a competition among fans who live in NYC to send in their videos featuring them dancing along the tune. The final result of the video featured DeLuna singing an Opera piece at the beginning but soon cut through by a tune of her song.
