Janet felt their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things separate," when referring to Jermaine's contribution on her last two albums. The friend continues telling US Weekly, "Jermaine likes to be out there, mingling with everybody, and Janet's more shy."

Being humiliated with the call's publication, she had reportedly called for a complaint to Jermaine but it was subsequently ignored.
Due to this, Aika sues the rap mogul on the grounds of "negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and copyright infringement" and asks the rapper to pay her $250,000 as a compensation for the claimed damages. Furthermore, also named in the suit are the "The One" singer and Virgin Records, who, regardless her objection, continue to make copies of the album. It was a bad day for Jermaine Dupri when he was involved in a car crash early Thursday June 7th when a woman ran a stop light on the corner of 49th Street and Park Avenue in New York and ploughed into his SUV.

Some other winners at the award show were Kanye West, who nabbed the Top Rap Album award for "Late Registration" and Hot Rap Track award for "Gold Digger". Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx brought home the Top Male R&B/Hip-Hop Artist prize, and Young Jeezy won Top New R&B/Hip-Hop Artist.

When it comes to a duet for Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson, Jermaine Dupri does mean it. The record producer and rapper takes the project seriously as he's now developing an idea for the two divas to duet on a new song.
"It's gonna happen on this record," Dupri hinted on the possibility for Mariah and Janet collaboration. "Please believe that. I got a mean idea, so look for it. We definitely gonna do a repackage on [Janet's "20 Years Old"] once it comes out. Hopefully it's successful and people buy into it, then I'm going back in the studio," he added.

It's been so long that Janet Jackson didn't make a comeback to music industry since the embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
However, by now on, the singer is working on her new studio album, tentatively titled "20 Years Old," which will arrive in stores Sept. 26 via Virgin Records.

50 Cent was just one among the many top honorees at the 23rd Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards celebration held Monday May 22nd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Hosted by ASCAP President & Chairman, Marilyn Bergman, the event was attended by more than 700 leading songwriters, recording artists and music industry leaders.
As of Fiddy, the rapper was named Songwriter of the Year thanks to his contributions to five award-winning songs in 2005, like "Candy Shop" and "Disco Inferno" to name some. Meanwhile, Song of the Year award resulted in a tie between Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "We Belong Together," written by Johnta Austin, Jermaine Dupri and Manuel Seal.
Janet Jackson's New Single Set for May Release

Virgin Urban president Jermaine Dupri told Billboard that the first single from Janet Jackson's upcoming album will be released to radio in May. Elsewhere, the album itself will then be released at the end of September.
Janet reportedly is once again working with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on the new set. "It's a milestone year for us and for the collaboration," Jam said while adding "It'll be 20 years since the release of (Jackson's 1986 album) 'Control,' so there's definitely a little bit of a nod to that on the new album."
