May 25, 2009 09:05:16Delta Goodrem and her fiance of more than a year Brian McFadden have decided to postpone their wedding due to "increased work commitments". "We were sitting down to try to organize the wedding and we were thinking: 'We're never going to get this wedding organized by Christmas,'" McFadden told The Sunday Telegraph.
"I know if we don't get married, everyone is going to say there are problems because we pushed the wedding back," he continued. "But we want to get married and take a nice block of time off, like three months, enjoy our families being there and have a nice honeymoon - not get married between gigs.''
Delta Goodrem Tops Billboard Heatseekers Chart

The new LP itself has already attracted the attention of the U.S. music public and managed to top this week's Billboard Top Heatseekers chart.
Delta's new album's success is also followed by her music video for "In This Life" that managed to climb to #11 position at the Top 20 Video Countdown last week. The track is also keep moving strong on the AC airplay chart as many people are still requesting to spin the track.

The new album which will be released on July 15 marks her first venture to the States after performing rather well in her home country. Her single "In This Life" debuted at #1 on Australian chart making it her eighth number-one single and giving her a position behind Kylie Minogue and Madonna as female artist with most #1 singles.
Taking turns from her battle with cancer in 2003, "Delta" displays a rather lighter record compared to her second effort "Mistaken Identity". "A lot of the words from the songs can be quite deep, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are always about my life," she said. "There are songs on this album which have nothing to do with my own personal experience of events, but which are still honest and emotional, and which tell a great story. A lot of people read into my lyrics and think they know me completely from them, but I'm not always as transparent as people might think."

Australian local artists Delta Goodrem and The Veronicas received the top awards at the annual event. Delta wins the Music Video of the Year Award for her video "Believe Again" beating other contenders, such as Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie, 50 Cent, Foo Fighters and Mika.
As for Veronicas, the twins female singers grabbed the award for Australian Artist Music Award, beating also some top names including, Delta and Silverchair. Meanwhile, the winner for International Music Artist of the Year goes to Timbaland. Another international artist that walked away with the prize is Pink who snatched the MTV Live Performer Award.

The Foos who embarked on an Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace Tour last year, will have to compete with four other acts to win the former gong. Those who become their competitions will be Pink (I'm Not Dead Tour) and Lupe Fiasco (Snow Jam) among some. Meanwhile, in latter nod, the Foos' video for "The Pretender" will have to compete against 50 Cent, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake's joint video "Ayo Technology" as well as Mika's "Happy Ending".

Delta Goodrem speaks up. The Australian singer-songwriter breaks her silence and has spoken candidly about her cancer battle and her being labeled as a "home wrecker" that played part in the divorce of her boyfriend Brian McFadden and his wife Kerry Katona.
"I just shook," when being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a form of cancer, in 2003, at the age of 18, Goodrem told Andrew Denton of the ABC television program "Enough Rope." "I shook for the next 24 hours, 48 hours and I just burst into tears obviously and I was petrified."

Enough sobering, Delta Goodrem comes back stronger, maturer but lighter with 'In This Life', a song that will mark the lead single from her yet-untitled album. The Australian singer has her relationship with Brian McFadden and cancer survival as effective fuel to reveal her new identity, as projected in the new album.
Speaking to Sydney's Daily Telegraph, Delta revealed that not only her sound is getting maturer but also her image. A video for 'In This Life' was shot on Friday (August 10) in L.A. "I'm more than ready to start this whole world again," Delta said. "It took me a second to get back into gear because I haven't made a video for so long, but it felt better than ever."

"It's a lot lighter, I'm not so angry," Goodrem said. "I've been enjoying life and doing normal things and relaxing. Brian and I love watching Grey's Anatomy. I am more than excited about releasing music again."
