March 02, 2009 01:03:25Since releasing "Carry On" in 2007, Chris Cornell is ready to invade music industry with another solo studio album, showcasing a new seductive sound. Mixing his alternative rock root with Hip-Hop in the new record, the former member of Audioslave and Soundgarden calls the album "Scream" and will bring it out in U.S. stores on March 10.
Commenting on his R&B music exploration, Chris said the idea of doing such thing is "the most ambitious thing" he has ever done. The singer claimed, "Musically, this is the most ambitious thing I've been a part of. It's almost like a movie soundtrack."
Chris Cornell's New Single 'Take Me Alive' Feat. Justin Timberlake
February 04, 2009 08:02:17Chris Cornell's brand new track called "Take Me Alive", which features Justin Timberlake, has just arrived. Produced by Timbaland, the song, which is co-written by Justin, will be included in Chris' upcoming third solo studio album "Scream".
"Scream" is expected to arrive in U.S. market sometime in early March. Marking Chris Cornell's new direction from rock sounds to more pop and urban jams, the effort also lines up Timbaland as a featured guest in addition to signing the rapper as the album's producer.

December 15, 2008 02:12:14Chris Cornell has premiered a music video to promote the title track off his upcoming third studio LP "Scream". To get the video done, he worked with music director Alan Ferguson, the same man who helped Gym Class Heroes filming "Cupid's Chokehold" music video.
"The idea Alan had for the video, which is pretty ingenious, is sort of capturing the two moods of the music," Chris said. " ... My role in the video is performing the song in super-slow-motion, where I'm existing in this Zen-like world, singing these song lyrics and everything going on around me is super-fast, super-chaotic, and I'm just suspended in it. ... "
Video Premiere: Chris Cornell's 'Ground Zero'
November 05, 2008 11:11:55Chris Cornell has debuted a music video for his brand new single, "Ground Zero". Shot in Brooklyn with a small crew, the music video includes scenes from the ABC's crime-drama TV series, "Life on Mars".
On the newly-released music video, Cornell plays a shady neighborhood troublemaker while Jason O'Mara, who also lands the part as a detective on the TV series, portrays an officer hot on his tail. On one scene, O'Mara chases Cornell through the streets. During his escape, Cornell crashes to a fast-running car but somehow manages to survive.
'The Best of Bond...James Bond' Track Listing Revealed
October 07, 2008 01:10:32A string of hits that have supported James Bond films in the past years will be compiled in a single CD collection entitled "The Best of Bond...James Bond". Included in the October 28 set are songs by Madonna, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Chris Cornell, Garbage and others.
As many as 23 songs, five music videos, and a live concert footage are molded in a single CD/DVD package. There will also be an unreleased version of Bond theme by composer John Arnold.
Chris Cornell Teaming Up With Timbaland for 'Scream'

Soundgarden and Audioslave, has teamed up with top-notched producer Timbaland for the rocker's third solo album. Called "Scream", the record is described by Timbaland as "the best work" that he has done in his career. It is tentatively scheduled for release in November through Suretone/Mosley Music and Interscope Records.
In an attempt to support the upcoming effort, Chris and Timbaland are set to kick off a string of eight live shows on October 17. "Scream" will be performed in its entirety to mimic the experience of listening to the LP from start to finish.
'Life on Mars' Season Premiere Promo Video

The footage is exceptional for its inclusion of Chris Cornell's brand new single "Ground Zero" which will appear on his November 4 solo album "Scream".
Lining up Jason O'Mara, Harvey Keitel, Jonathan Murphy, Michael Imperioli and Gretchen Mol as the main cast, "Life on Mars" is a cop drama adapted from the successful British series of the same name. The first episode is titled "Out Here in the Field" where NYPD Detective Sam Tyler is trying mightily to understand what's just happened to him and how he can get back "home" .

The jaunt that is headlined by the rock act will also see The Bravery, Chris Cornell, and Ashes Divide (featuring A Perfect Circle's Billy Howerdel) on the main stage. Another stage which is smaller will be graced by Atreyu, 10 Years, Hawthorne Heights, Armor for Sleep and the Street Drum Corps.
The first date is set for July 16 at the Tweeter Center, Boston and the tickets will go for public sale on Friday, April 11 but as a gratitude towards fans, Linkin Park give a limited period starting today (April 4) for fans to purchase pre-sale tickets which service charge will be paid by the promoter, Live Nation. This would save fans $8 to 11 bucks compared to purchasing the regular tickets.

Denied in UK and Australia, Snoop Dogg landed his ship in Germany. He, along with Chris Cornell and British singer Katie Melua will be the headliners of Live Earth concert. Announced at a press conference by Live Earth co-founder Kevin Wall, the three of them will be supported by a number of local musicians.
It was rumored that Snoop was about to appear as UK line-up joining Madonna, Snow Patrol and Keane. He, however is in trouble with the country's authority for a number of criminal acts and has since denied visa. Australia has also to be ruled out since he was banned permission from entering the continent last month after seen 'unfit'.

Not only learning his lessons, Chris Cornell is also doing his homework by helping other alcoholic addicts to recover. Based on that effort, he will be the honoree of Stevie Ray Vaughan Award along with music promoter Jeff McClusky.
A recovering alcoholic himself, Cornell will receive the award in MusiCares Map Fund benefit concert night and dinner on May 11. As part of the show, Cornell will perform at the Music Box Theater alongside Depeche Mode's David Gahan, blues musician Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and also the band Army of Anyone.

Establishing his identity as a solo singer, Chris Cornell is conducting a tour to endorse the second solo album "Carry On". There will be 11 cities visited that starts from Las Vegas on April 6. He would then tour around US and Canada to reveal the tracks included in the new album.
Produced by Grammy award winning producer Steve Lilywhite, the album is expected to be larger that the previous solo album "Euphoria Morning" (1999) that went through a mild reception. This time Cornell gives personal touch to the album "The most exciting thing is to let yourself expose your true, vulnerable feelings, which is what resonates with people most," he explained.

Chris Cornell, the lead singer of alternative rock supergroup Audioslave, has quit the music act, citing "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences".
Announcing his leaving the group, Cornell said Thursday February 15th, "Due to irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences, I am permanently leaving the band Audioslave. I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors."

Chris Cornell, the lead singer of band Audioslave, is set to sing the theme song for the highly anticipated James Bond film "Casino Royale", it has been confirmed.
The song, tentatively titled "You know my name", is co-written by David Arnold who also did the soundtrack for the movie and is slated to be released on Nov 13th later this year.

The upcoming 21st installment of Bond movie, "Casino Royale", is more than ready to hit hard both the movie and music industry. It is reported Wednesday July 26th, that Chris Cornell, the frontman of Audioslave, has been booked to write and perform the theme song for the highly anticipated flick.
Working on the set, dubbed "You Know My Name," Chris works hand in hand with Bond composer David Arnold. "I've always loved Chris' work, both as a writer and as an artist, and had hoped someday to find the right film to inspire him," Lia Vollack, president of worldwide music for Columbia Entertainment, the studio behind the film, said in a statement.

Representative for the singer confirmed the birth as saying that both mother and son are doing very well. Anyway, this is the second child for the Vicky who also has a daughter with Cornell named Tony. Whereas, this has become the third for Cornell who has had another daughter, five-year-old Lily, from his previous 12-year marriage to ex-Soundgarden manager, Susan Silver.
Soundgarden's Chris Cornell Suing Ex-Wife/Manager

But, those apparently do not prevent former Soundgarden lead singer Chris Cornell to sue his ex-wife/former manager Susan J. Silver, seeking for more than $1 million in damages.
In his suit, filed November 28 in California Superior Court in Los Angeles, Cornell claimed that Silver "conspired with other representatives of Soundgarden to direct funds owed to (Cornell)" to other members of the band. Further, he also accused Silver of failing to advise him to "protect his interests in copyrighted musical compositions that were created prior to the marriage."
