Trace Cyrus didn't hold back in a recent Instagram rant, slamming Katy Perry for copying his sister Miley's career and calling her space flight a 'lame' publicity stunt.

AceShowbiz - Trace Cyrus, brother of pop star Miley Cyrus, launched into a scathing Instagram rant directed at Katy Perry. Following Katy's highly talked-about space flight with Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin, Trace accused Katy of copying Miley's career moves to stay relevant.

"I first knew Katy Perry and her team were lame as f**k when her career was first dying," Trace began in his Instagram tirade. He claimed that Katy's 2017 pixie cut and transition to a more hip-hop-influenced sound were blatant copies of Miley's earlier career decisions, including her 2012 pixie cut and collaborations on her 2013 "Bangerz" album.

Trace mocked an imagined conversation between Katy and her team, " 'What worked for Miley? She cut her hair off and it broke the internet … We should do that with you, Katy.' " He sarcastically added that despite these efforts, Perry's attempts to revive her career "didn't f**king work."

The criticism didn't stop there. Trace lambasted Katy's 2017 collaboration with Migos on "Bon Appetit" as another imitation of Miley's work with hip-hop artists like Mike WiLL Made-It, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J.

He quipped that Katy's career moves were backfiring, culminating in the spectacle of her space flight, "Now they're going to send your a** to space… It's not working. It's backfiring."

Katy joined an all-female crew on the Blue Origin space flight, a mission that sparked public and celebrity backlash for its perceived excess and environmental impact.

Her actions during the flight, including singing to fellow passengers and kissing the ground after landing, were labeled as overly dramatic. Fast food chain Wendy's, musician Ke$ha, comedian Amy Schumer, lifestyle guru Martha Stewart, and actress/director Olivia Wilde even joined in, posting meme and mocking social media comments.

An insider revealed that Katy does not regret the space experience but does lament the public spectacle it became. The criticism has reportedly left the singer and her team disheartened.

Whether you side with Trace Cyrus or support Perry, one thing's for sure: the entertainment industry has no shortage of drama.
