A benefit concert series aimed at aiding those affected by the recent wildfires in Southern California are announced for January 30, with some of the biggest Hollywood stars.

AceShowbiz - A star-studded lineup for FireAid, a fundraising concert for Los Angeles relief efforts, was announced, with the likes of Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Green Day, Katy Perry, Stevie Nicks, and Jelly Roll.

Other performers lending their voices for the cause include Gwen Stefani, Pink, Joni Mitchell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Sting, and Tate McRae. A special highlight will be a joint performance by Dave Matthews and John Mayer.

The event will include performances at two neighboring arenas, the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum in Inglewood, starting at 6 p.m. PT. Tickets go on sale on January 22 at Noon PST via Ticketmaster. The event is produced by music industry mogul Irving Azoff, the Azoff family, Live Nation, and AEG Presents.

FireAid aims to raise funds for rebuilding communities and supporting efforts to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California. Musicians like Jhene Aiko and Paris Hilton lost their homes in the fires along with thousands of other residents.

A diverse blend of artists, spanning generations and genres, has united for this cause. Many artists on the bill, like Billie Eilish, Finneas, and Gracie Abrams, hail from the L.A. region. Others, such as Sting, Stewart, and Lady Gaga, have deep connections to Southern California.

The wildfires began on January 7 along the Pacific Palisades, and have now been classified as the most destructive in the history of Los Angeles County. Over 21,000 acres burned, causing the deaths of at least 25 people and the evacuation of more than 150,000 residents. Severe Santa Ana winds and dry vegetation contributed to the rapid spread of the flames.

In a remarkable display of solidarity, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) enlisted over 800 inmate volunteers to assist firefighting efforts, highlighting the community's collective struggle against the disaster.

The concert will be broadcast and streamed live on January 30 on multiple platforms, including Apple Music, Netflix, Paramount+, Prime Video, and SiriusXM, among others. Select AMC Theatre locations in 70 U.S. markets will screen the event live. The broadcast will encourage viewers to donate to aid the wildfire victims, with all proceeds going to relief efforts.

The benefit concert's proceeds will target both short-term relief and long-term projects to prevent future fire disasters, with funds distributed in consultation with the Annenberg Foundation.

FireAid is not just a concert; it's a beacon of hope and a powerful testament to the strength and unity of the community. As the world tunes in, music will once again prove to be a unifying force, shining light in the darkest times.
