AceShowbiz - Rob Lowe has disclosed that he had a brief romance with Demi Moore during their time in the "Brat Pack" in the 1980s. On Tuesday, October 22's episode of Kelly Ripa's podcast "Let's Talk Off Camera", Lowe admitted to the fling after Ripa inquired about the group's romantic entanglements. He noted that it occurred before Moore's engagement to Emilio Estevez, who was also a member of the "St. Elmo's Fire" cast.
Lowe explained that hookups were common among the young cast members at the time. "Look, anytime you put young 20-something men and women together, hookups are inevitable," he said. "And I don't think that has changed."
Despite now being friends, Lowe revealed that he and Moore remain in touch via a group text message. They are also working on a potential sequel to "St. Elmo's Fire."
Moore went on to marry actor Bruce Willis in 1987, but they divorced in 2000. Lowe has been married to Sheryl Berkoff since 1991.
In a separate interview for the Hulu documentary "Brats", Lowe addressed the upcoming sequel to "St. Elmo's Fire." He said it's "moving along" but expressed his desire for it to progress faster. Despite the delay, he emphasizes that "all of the actors, everybody is on board. Everybody's excited."
