The actress daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson previously poked fun at her Nepo Baby label through a 'Please Don't Destroy' video during her 'Saturday Night Live' hosting gig.

AceShowbiz - Dakota Johnson wasn't pleased with the "Nepo Baby" talk. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" star, whose parents are actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, called the debate about it "annoying and boring" in a new interview.

The 34-year-old addressed the matter in the Wednesday, February 7 episode of the "Today" show. "Like, if you're a journalist, write about something else," she told host Hoda Kotb. "That's just like, lame. So the opportunity to make fun of it, I jumped at."

Dakota poked fun at her Nepo Baby label when hosting "Saturday Night Live" in January. In a "Please Don't Destroy" video, she traded barbs about each other's careers with Ben Marshall, Martin Herlihy and John Higgins.

At one point, John took a dig at Dakota's 2023 film "Daddio", to which she responded, "Is 'Daddio' who you called to get your job?" She was referring to John's father, "Tonight Show" announcer Steve Higgins.

When John asked back, "You wanna do the parent thing?" Dakota replied, "No, not really." She then added, "Nepo truce?"

"Nepo Baby" refers to children who've gotten a leg up in the entertainment industry because of their famous parents and served as the inspiration behind New York magazine's viral "Year of the Nepo Baby" cover story. The cover featured the faces of A-list celebs, including Dakota herself, Maya Hawke and Zoe Kravitz, pasted onto the bodies of babies.

A bunch of celebrities have chimed in on the "Nepo Baby" debate. Jamie Lee Curtis, Lily Allen and Kate Hudson defended fellow children of famous parents. Meanwhile, Hailey Bieber (Hailey Baldwin), found a savage way to clap back at nepotism claims by wearing a "Nepo Baby" T-shirt during an outing in January last year.
