The former 'Glee' star, who shares the baby boy with her husband Zandy Reich, first revealed the toddler's hospitalization on March 22 as she decided to cancel some 'Funny Girl' performances.

AceShowbiz - Coping with children's illnesses is not easy for mothers and it's no exception for Lea Michele. The "Glee" alum lamented having a "hard day" as she revealed that her son Ever has been hospitalized once again amid an ongoing "scary health issue."

On Wednesday, April 6, the 36-year-old shared on an Instagram Story a photo of her toddler with his face covered. "Today was a hard day. As parents, we have to be strong for our kids. But sometimes you just want to break down and cry," she first wrote.

In an inside note, Lea added that "hidden in the bathroom or closet is usually best" for crying. She then candidly admitted, "Today I chose hospital bathroom."

"These hard times show you truly what matters and is important in life and how much we have to be grateful for," the singer/actress continued. "It's been hard, to say the least, but our boy is such a champ and is going to be ok. But it still hurts."

Lea, who shares Ever with husband Zandy Reich, then turned to her Instagram page to post a throwback beach photo of her hugging the 2-year-old as the sun shined down on them. In the accompaniment of the snap, she penned, "My everything," adding a heart emoji.

Lea first revealed Ever's hospitalization on March 22. At that time, she announced, "I'm so sorry but unfortunately I will be out of @FunnyGirlBwy today. We are at the hospital with our son dealing with a scary health issue that I need to be here for. I'm so sorry. Please send us some love and strength."

Days later, Lea informed fans that she has returned to "Funny Girl". She said in a video, "Hi everyone. I'm saying a quick hello from my dressing room here. I'm back at 'Funny Girl' tonight. I'm really happy to be back. It's been a really long week and we're still not out of the woods completely with our son, but he's headed in a good direction and we're really really grateful."
