AceShowbiz - Harrison Ford's love for flying almost cost him his life. The 80-year-old actor, who has had licenses for both helicopters and fixed-wing aircrafts, had undergone several in flight emergencies, but he had the worst in 2015. His plane made an emergency landing on the Penmar Golf Course in Venice, California after it malfunctioned in mid-air.
The "Indiana Jones" actor suffered fairly severe facial and scalp lacerations in the accident. He also fractured his pelvis, shattered a vertebra and dislocated his ankle, requiring a lengthy hospital stay. Despite the accident, he has not given his aviation hobby.
