Beating the odds of low survival rate, a slew of celebrities have miraculously survived crazy near-death experiences that could have taken a turn for the worse.

AceShowbiz - If Leonardo DiCaprio had nine lives, he might have used some of them. The Oscar-winning actor had a brush with death not just once, but four times. He once was on a flight to Russia, during which the engine of the plane blew up upon takeoff, requiring an emergency landing at JFK. He also had a parachute malfunction while skydiving at another time.
His underwater adventures also almost got him killed. In 2006, he was almost attacked by a great white shark while scuba diving as part of his work for his environmental non-profit. Later on a 2010 scuba diving expedition in the Galapagos Islands, his oxygen tank failed. Fortunately, actor Edward Norton who was with Leo noticed the issue and shared his tank with the "Titanic" star while they swam back to the surface. "The Incredible Hulk" actor admitted "it got pretty shaky" when he witnessed his friend "couldn't breathe."
