AceShowbiz - While Harrison Ford's car crash didn't deter him from flying, Travis Barker couldn't fly for more than a decade after a private jet carrying him, DJ AM and four others exploded in September 2008. The plane failed to leave the ground during takeoff, skidded off the runway, hit an embankment and went up in flames.
Travis and DJ AM survived, but sustained major burns, while the other passengers, including personal assistant Chris Baker and security guard Che Still as well as two pilots, died. The Blink-182 spent weeks of grueling recovery in the hospital, during which he was in so much pain that he was calling friends, offering them $1 million to help him end his life. He only returned to the air again in 2021 after falling in love with Kourtney Kardashian.
