AceShowbiz - The 2022 Country Music Awards brought several show-stopping performances from big country artists. Among those who offered magnificent performances for the big night were Carrie Underwood, Carly Pearce and Keith Urban.

On Monday, April 11, Carrie wowed the crowd with her stunning performance of her new single "Ghost Story". When belting out her song, the 39-year-old singer did an acrobatic spectacle. The pre-recorded performance was filmed at the Resorts World Theatre, home of her Las Vegas "Reflection" residency, while the singer herself was at the Nashville, Tennessee ceremony.

Carrie, who scored two nominations, sported a purple jumpsuit with a lengthy train as she sang her song. She ended things on a high note, joining her dancers in an aerial performance as she delivered the last lines of her emotional track.

Meanwhile, Carly brought out a fiery performance at Nashville Municipal Auditorium. The 31-year-old Kentucky native, clad in a white-and-gold fringe-adorned dress and gold boots, took the stage with a seething and spunky rendition of her latest single "Diamondback". She wrapped up her performance with a sassy smile directed straight into the camera.

Also taking the stage with a stunning performance was Keith. The husband of Nicole Kidman kicked off the award show by performing his new single "Wild Hearts" powerfully. "From everywhere, all around the world, this is where they come," Keith said via voiceover in a pre-song segment. "Guitars in hand and songs in hearts, they're all dreamers, ready to fly."

As for Kelsea Ballerini, she performed her new song "Heartfirst" from home after she tested positive for COVID-19. The 28-year-old singer/songwriter, who remotely hosted the award-giving event, sang her upbeat track in her backyard. She donned a glittery green mini dress with matching eyeshadow as she strummed her white acoustic guitar.

In the meantime, Maren Morris and her husband Ryan Hurd brought a brand-new song to the stage. The couple performed "I Can't Love You Anymore", one of the tracks from Maren's latest album, "Humble Quest".

The pair kept things sweet, breezy and casual for their performance, with Ryan rocking a Canadian tuxedo and strumming an acoustic guitar. As for Maren, she rocked a gauzy brown dress.

Marren and Ryan also brought playful charm to every line of the song, with Marren jokingly fanning herself as she sang the line, "You're so good lookin' it kinda makes me sick." In another verse, she smirked during the line, "You like me even when I've been a b***h," which prompted her husband of four years to giggle.

Taking the stage outdoors were Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson. They flawlessly performed their duet "Never Say Never". While pouring out their hearts on the lyrics, the singers were welcomed by rain.

As for Walker Hayes, he belted out the song of the summer, "Fancy Like", for his first ever CMT Awards performance. Gabby Barrett, who dressed in a sparkling black ensemble, sang "Pick Me Up", while Mickey Guyton and Black Pumas wowed the crowd as they brought out "Colors". Jason Aldean, in the meantime, covered Bryan Adams' "Heaven".

The Judds also performed on the big night, marking the pair's first televised performance in 20 years. Meanwhile, Kenny Chesney made his return to the CMT stage in seven years by closing the show with a performance of his smash hit "Beers in Mexico".
