The three-day annual festival also features other notable performers including Lorde, Childish Gambino, Rae Sremmurd, Mark Ronson and others.

AceShowbiz - You'd better be ready party people! The lineup for Governors Ball Music Festival 2017 has been revealed and rising hip-hop star Chance the Rapper is set to be the headliner at the three-day festival.

He will headline the event alongside prog-metal act Tool and French indie-rock band Phoenix. Beyond the headliners, this year's lineup features a robust blend of rock, hip-hop and EDM. Wiz Khalifa, Flume, Wu-Tang Clan, Logic, Marshmello, Kehlani and Tove Lo are among other acts who will take the stage for the annual festival's seventh installment.

Other notable acts include New Zealand-born singer Lorde, Childish Gambino a.k.a. Donald Glover, brotherly duo Rae Sremmurd, British singer Charli XCX and "Uptown Funk" producer Mark Ronson among others.

Governors Ball and its parent company Founders Entertainment faced a number of challenges in 2016. Last year's festival was hobbled by storm, which prompted festival organizers to cancel the Sunday gig featuring a headlining performance from Kanye West. In addition, Goldenvoice, the concert promoter behind events including Coachella and Delaware's Firefly, announced a competing 3-day festival Panorama which took place on Randall's Island in July.

The 2017 Governors Ball is set for June 2-4 at Randall's Island Park in New York City. Three-day and VIP tickets go on sale on Friday, January 6 at 12 P.M. EST at govball.com.
