AceShowbiz - Sia Furler is officially going solo in 2017. The "Cheap Thrills" hitmaker has filed for divorce from her husband of two years, Erik Anders Lang. She filed the documents on Friday, December 20 in Los Angeles, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason of their split.
Sia and Erik announced their separation earlier this month. "After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple," the exes said in a statement released by her rep on December 7, "We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends. There will be no further comment."
The former couple tied the knot at a private wedding ceremony at her home in Palm Springs, California on August 2, 2014, two months after making their engagement public at a New York City gala. "Omg omg I'm so excited," she tweeted prior to the wedding.
Sia is nominated for Favorite Pop Artist at the 2017 People's Choice Awards and three awards at the 2017 Grammys: Best Pop Vocal Album ("This Is Acting"), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance ("Cheap Thrills [feat. Sean Paul]") and Best Song Written for Visual Media ("Try Everything").
