AceShowbiz - Ryan Seacrest has made a major announcement regarding the final season of "American Idol". The 40-year-old host tells Access Hollywood that all former judges including Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson will make a return for the fifteenth and final season.
"I've spoken to all of them recently and we as a team have talked to them about coming back to do something for the final season," Ryan shares, "They are going to do it it's just a matter of figuring what to do with them."
This means fans can look forward to the return of other former judges like Mariah Carey, Steven Tyler, Ellen DeGeneres, Nicki Minaj and Kara DioGuardi.
The 15th and farewell season of "American Idol" will launch with a two-night four-hour event on Wednesday, January 6 and Thursday, January 7 beginning at 8 P.M on Fox. The final season is expected to have an additional focus on the program's alumni with Harry Connick Jr., Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez returning as judges.
