The final five nominees of the 2015 American Music Awards are revealed a little over a week before the event is scheduled to take place. They are Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Luke Bryan, and Ariana Grande.
There were originally 10 candidates vying for the coveted prize at the 43rd annual prize-giving event. Those who didn't make the final cut are Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, The Weeknd, and Meghan Trainor.
Airing live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on November 22, the AMAs is hosted by Jennifer Lopez who will also perform. She is joined by other musical guests like Coldplay, Gwen Stefani, Macklemore, Selena Gomez, Carrie Underwood, Demi Lovato, Grande, and Pentatonix. Taylor Swift leads the nominations with a total of six nods.
