AceShowbiz - Robin Thicke reunites with Nicki Minaj for the music video of their latest collaboration, "Back Together". The R&B singer throws a pool party in his mansion and tries to woo some girls including the Young Money raptress in the summery visuals arriving online on Thursday, August 13.
Sporting dapper suit, Thicke is first seen hanging out poolside with some friends and bikini-clad ladies. The 38-year-old crooner then takes viewers to his bedroom, where he spends the rest of the day with one of the girls.
Minaj makes a cameo towards the end of the clip, rapping her guest verse in a floral bra and leopard-print skirt teamed with red stilettos. She bluntly rejects Thicke who tries to seduce her.
"Back Together" was co-produced by Max Martin and Savan Kotecha for Thicke's new album that's due out this fall. The singer delivered the first live TV performance of the song when he made an appearance on "Good Morning America" last Wednesday.
During his visit to the morning show, he said that the track wasn't about his ex-wife Paula Patton. "I just heard this idea of getting back together and getting yourself back together, and what I was going through at the time I really really related to that and connected to it," he explained. "It's more about the theme of getting yourself back together with love and partnership."
