While it's still uncertain if Mary-Kate and Ashley Oslen will be joining the 'Full House' spin-off, Dylan and Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit have signed up to return as twin brothers Nicky and Alex.

While it was confirmed in May that Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen wouldn't join "Fuller House", there's still a small hope of their return to the Netflix revival. Ted Sarandos, head of content acquisition for Netflix, hinted at the Olsen twins' possible involvement during the 2015 Summer TCA press tour.

"The Olsen twins are teetering on whether or not they'll be around," Sarandos said in a room full of reporters on Tuesday morning, July 28 in Beverly Hills. "We've been able to reassemble all of the cast."

Sarandos also promised that the spin-off "is very much in the spirit of the original." He added, "At the taping of the [first] episode this past week, when the cast shows up on stage the audience reacts immediately and the actors have fallen right back into the roles. It's very much in the same spirit but with a modern take on 'Full House'."

Giving an update on a new season of "Arrested Development", Sarandos said, "We are plugging along and negotiations are underway. It is our intent to have a new season. It's a long, complex deal."

"Fuller House" will focus on the pregnant and recently widowed DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) and her three kids, along with her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and neighbor Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Consisting of 12 episodes, the new sitcom will be preceded by a one-hour reunion.

Bob Saget, John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier and Scott Weinger are also on board to reprise their respective roles, while Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit and Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit will return as twin brothers Nicky and Alex. Most recently, Eva La Rue was cast as Danny Tanner's new wife Teri.

Earlier this year, executive producer Robert L. Boyett addressed the Olsens' absence from the upcoming series in a statement. "Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of 'Fuller House', I know how much 'Full House' has meant to them and they are still very much considered family," he said. "It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards 'Fuller House'."
