Joe Manganiello opened up that his fiancee Sofia Vergara once threatened to leave him if he insisted on going to gym. The "Magic Mike XXL" actor told reporters on the film's press day on Saturday, June 20, in West Hollywood that it happened after he got an injury during a stripping scene in the film.
"On take one of my finale routine, which we rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed and rehearsed, my dance partner did something unrehearsed, and the result was me hearing a loud rip and a pop," the 38-year-old actor said. "It was my bicep."
Though Joe was injured, he insisted on finishing the filming for the scene "which involves a sex swing with monkey bars on top." The 42-year-old actress who was on set didn't seem to be pleased with his decision. "Sofia was there that day. We got back to my trailer and, as soon as the door closed, she said, 'If I see you at the gym tomorrow, we're done! I'm going to leave you! That's it!' " the "Tumbledown" actor recalled.
In an interview on "Live! with Kelly and Michael" on Monday, June 22, Joe told the hosts, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan, that he had a nerve-wracking moment when he proposed to the "Hot Pursuit" beauty December last year. The hunky actor proposed to his fiancee in Spanish and didn't want to mess it up. "I had a big speech in Spanish, and that's what I was nervous about," he said.
