The musician was found dead in his hotel room in Mexico on Tuesday morning, October 14 after playing a gig with Jack the night before.

Jack's record label, Third Man Records, confirmed the sad news in a statement posted on their website.

"It is with great sadness that we tell the world of the passing of the incredible musician Isaiah 'Ikey' Owens," the label wrote, "He will be missed and loved forever by his family, friends, bandmates and fans." The label added, "Out of respect for Ikey, the remaining shows of the 'Jack White Tour' in Mexico have been canceled. We will all miss you Ikey. You were and are an incredible artist. "

According to TMZ, police found alcohol and drugs in Isaiah's room. Investigators have not revealed the cause of death of the 38-year-old musician yet.

Fellow musicians like Red Hot Chili Peppers's bassist, Flea, and Questlove paid tribute to Isaiah via Twitter. Flea wrote, "Ikey beautiful ikey oh man love what a beautiful dude." Questlove, meanwhile, tweeted, "Dude. I'm so hurt over this man Jesus."

Isaiah, who joined Jack's tour band in 2012, also performed with The Mars Volta and Free Moral Agents.
