The 'Bow Down' singer gives a snippet of a new song she recorded for the 20th Century Fox animation, where she will be voicing Queen Tara.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles will not only voice a character in "Epic", an upcoming animated movie by 20th Century Fox, but she also will sing her new song for the movie soundtrack, "Rise Up". The snippet of the song has already been previewed in a new TV spot for the movie.

Written by Sia Furler, who also penned Rihanna's "Diamonds" and Christina Aguilera's "Bond to You", "Rise Up" offers lush harmonies and a deeper vocal delivery. The ballad co-produced by Hit-Boy and Chase N. Cashe carries a meaningful message about courage and believe. The full version of the song will be released later this month via Columbia Records.

"Epic" hits U.S. theaters on May 24. In the film, Beyonce will voice Queen Tara, the leader of a magical world where Mary Katherine, the film's main character, tries to survive and find her way to return home.

Based on William Joyce's children book "The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs", "Epic" was directed by Chris Wedge and also stars Amanda Seyfried, Colin Farrell, Chris O'Dowd, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler, Josh Hutcherson, Christoph Waltz, and Aziz Ansari.
