Contrary to swirling rumors, it turned out that Russell Brand was never excluded from the upcoming 38th annual People's Choice Awards where Katy Perry is set to attend. A source in the know of the situation sets the record straight to E! Online, saying that the reports are false.
The source said the "Arthur" actor was indeed invited to the upcoming prize-giving event, but he himself declined it. The decision was made "a long time ago," not recently after he filed for divorce from Katy. "If he called today and said he wanted to go, he'd more than welcome to," the insider stated.
2012 PCAs is going to take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California on January 11. Emma Stone, Nina Dobrev, Ashley Greene, Liam Hemsworth, Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence and Lea Michele are set to attend. Meanwhile, Demi Lovato and Faith Hill are going to perform.
