The 45th annual Country Music Awards has put four artists in tight competition. In a newly-released nomination list, it is revealed that Taylor Swift and three boys; Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton, have scored five nominations each.
These foursome will compete against each other in the category of Entertainer of the Year along with Keith Urban. For Aldean and Shelton, this is the first time that they have been submitted under the coveted category. Meanwhile, Swift, Urban and Paisley have each won the entertainer prize before.
Next with four nominations are Zac Brown Band and The Band Perry. Miranda Lambert who shined last year ends up with only two nods, Female Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year.
Five of the 12 CMA Awards categories were announced live on ABC News' "Good Morning America" with The Band Perry and Jake Owen delivering the news. The other seven categories were announced by Jerrod Niemann and Thompson Square at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The Country Music Awards will be aired on ABC on November 9, hosted by Carrie Underwood and Paisley.
