The outspoken pop star, Lady GaGa has taken aim at the controversial legislation, which was passed last year and gives Arizona police power to detain anyone suspected of being an illegal immigrant.
During a visit to Mexico City on Friday, Lady GaGa discussed her relationship to Mexican culture, admitting she feels strongly about the law and even wrote a song on her upcoming album "Born This Way" about it.
She tells the Associated Press, "I don't stand by many of those unjust immigration laws in my country."
The "Poker Face" hitmaker refused to cancel a concert in Arizona last summer, in protest over the law, insisting a boycott by "dumb pop stars" would fail to "shut down the state" and "collapse the economy in Arizona".
Jessica Alba, Kanye West and Eva Longoria are among the other stars who have condemned the law.
