The British boyband are determined to give away their forthcoming record 'Above the Noise' for free to devotees, stating that 'it's about rewarding the fans.'

British boyband McFly are giving their forthcoming album away for free to fans who subscribe to their new website. The four-piece's fifth album, "Above the Noise", is set to hit stores in November, but online devotees who subscribe their Super City site will receive the release free of charge.

Bandmember Tom Fletcher explains, "We've always wanted to be a bit more innovative and do things differently. We haven't ironed out the details yet, but it'll be about 6 pound sterling a month or 40 - 50 pound sterling a year. There's the music, plus new content every week - live shows, song demos, priority tickets to gigs."

"And (fans) will have a chance to hang out during soundchecks. It's about rewarding the fans. People worry about things leaking on the internet but we thought, why not just leak it ourselves?"

The band's last album, "Radio:ACTIVE", was given away for free in British newspaper the Daily Mail in 2008.
