Miles Davis' legendary bass player Michael Henderson is taking Snoop Dogg to court after accusing the rapper of illegally sampling one of his songs. The "Drop It Like It's Hot" hitmaker is alleged to have used parts of Henderson's "Riding" on the track "Flashbacks", which featured on a 2008 mixtape.

Henderson claims Snoop Dogg went on to unlawfully incorporate his music on another song, titled "Hands on the Wheel", which was allegedly used to boost interest and ticket sales in the rap superstar's West Fest tour in June, 2008. Warzone's members, Goldie Loc, Kam and MC Eiht, have been named in the copyright infringement lawsuit, along with Snoop and his bosses at Universal Records.

Henderson is also suing for unfair competition and unjust enrichment. He wants the case to be heard in a trial by jury in Michigan and is seeking unspecified damages, reports AllHipHop.

Michael is a good friend of mine. He has always been professional and with high sense of integrity. He does not take his craft lightly. People should learn to respect him and other creators of all art forms.

Michael has should do what he needs to do regarding Snoop. Michael would NEVER use any artist's tracks or etc to benifit himself.
