In the Monday, April 22 episode, two singers are eliminated, leaving ten contestants who are set to perform again in front of judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie And Luke Bryan.

AceShowbiz - In the Monday, April 22 episode of "American Idol", the TV show announced its season 22 Top 10. The eliminated contestants were revealed after the Top 12 singers, who had Meghan Trainor as their mentor, took the stage in front of the judges, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

Abi Carter was the first contestant to sing. After Abi delivered "All Too Well" by Taylor Swift and played a piano, Luke told her that she was not "as shiny" when compared to her performance in the previous episode. Meanwhile, Katy said that her strength is drawing the audience in.

Performing next was Will Moseley who sang "Startin' Over" by Chris Stapleton. Following the performance, Lionel said he has "instant identity" with his voice. Meghan, Katy and Luke told him to match his big voice and personality with his facial expression.

The third one to hit the stage was Jayna Elise, who delivered "Diamonds" by Rihanna. Jayna was praised by the judges, including Luke who called her performance "timeless" and "professional." Up next was Mia Matthews who belted out "Over You" by Miranda Lambert. Mia received positive comments, including one from Luke who said that she has nailed the goal of "looking like a star."

Singing Katy's "Roar" was Roman Collins, who received a standing ovation from the three judges following his "amazing" performance. In the meantime, Jack Blocker decided to perform "Blinding Nights" by The Weeknd. While Luke wanted "a little more energy" from his performance, Lionel called it a "unique presentation."

Emmy Russell was the next singer to take the stage. Emmy sang "Lose You to Love Me" by Selena Gomez before getting applauded by Luke for "continuing to shine" and taking "out of so many of [her] comfort zones." It was followed by Triston Harper's performance of Luke Combs' "Beautiful Crazy". Lionel reminded him not to "lose your power" while singing.

Later, Julia Gagnon delivered "Something in the Orange" by Zach Bryan. Following the performance, Luke praised Julia for showing "all of your tricks." Up next was Kaibrienne, who belted out "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus. Katy told her to "let it fly" with her performances, making use of her Sunday, April 21 show as an example.

Delivering Taylor's "Cardigan" was McKenna Faith Breinholt, who was praised by Katy and Luke. The latter called the performance "so pro, so next level." Closing out the performances that night was Kayko, who belted out "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye. After taking the stage, Kayko was embraced by all three judges, who were excited for his great performance.

It was later time for host Ryan Seacrest to reveal the results for Top 12 performances. That night, Jayna and Roman were eliminated despite being praised by the judges for their performances. Meanwhile, the Top 10 singers are set to perform again in the next episode, which will air on Sunday, April 28.
