The 'Chicago P.D.' actress accuses James Tupper of locking her out of the property they shared before splitting in order to sell it, and he responds with suggestion of 'extended drug use'.

AceShowbiz - Former couple Anne Heche and James Tupper are warring over the property they shared before splitting.

The actress has accused her ex of locking her out of their home so he can sell it, while he's attacking her for alleged drug use.

The pair devised an odd arrangement after breaking up in 2017, agreeing to spend alternate weeks in their Los Angeles house so they could spend time with their son Atlas, but it seems the deal has fallen down, with Heche claiming her ex-partner has changed the locks and security code, and is planning to sell without her consent.

"Big Little Lies" star Tupper insists he didn't change anything and Anne's son from a previous relationship didn't have any problems gaining access, adding he hopes her allegations aren't linked to "extended drug use."

Furthermore, he insists Heche has no claim to the house as the deed is in his name.

His lawyer, David Alden Erikson, writes, "The parties' custody agreement does not mention the property... What appears to have now happened is that Heche was so angered by what she mistakenly and inexplicably perceived as a lockout, that she asked her attorneys to enforce the arrangement as if it were Tupper's legal obligation."

"By the time Tupper demonstrated that no lockout occurred, Heche has gone too far to back down."

A hearing has been scheduled for next month (December 2019).
