The said cake features Thanos holding the Infinity Stones with some hands, which may or may not belong to the Avengers, supporting a small platform the villain is perching on.

AceShowbiz - A new day, new rumors afloat about an upcoming "The Avengers" movie. While "Avengers: Infinity War" is yet to arrive, people have been putting a lot of attention on its sequel "Avengers 4" which recently wrapped its filming.

To mark the last day of shooting, directors Anthony and Joe Russo posted on Twitter on Thursday, January 11 a picture of a wrap cake. The cake features Thanos holding the Infinity Stones. Holding up a small platform the villain is perching on are some hands, which may or may not belong to certain members of the Avengers.

The female hand looks like it's Natasha Romanoff a.k.a. Black Widow's as it wears a fingerless black glove. Seeing this fans have been speculating about how the cake may hint at the plot of "Avengers 4" and "Infinity War".

"natasha's hand holding up thanos seems like an interesting creative choice for this cake what with people saying revealing anything about the supposed BW movie would be an avengers 4 spoiler," one wrote. Another asked, "Are those the hands of the people who die in Infinity War?!"

Another brought up "Thor: Ragnarok" villain Hela (Cate Blanchett) into the discussion. "SO DOES THIS MEAN HELA KILLS THANOS BECAUSE CHRIS HEMSWORTH WAS ASKED WHO DINE W/ ONE A ISLAND AND HE SAID HELA 'PEOPLE CHANGE' REFERRING TO HELA IN A (buzzfed) VIDEO SO DOES MEAN HELA BECOMES GOOD AND DEFEATS THANOS," he/she tweeted.

"Avengers 4" previously sparked speculations that it would feature a time-traveling element. On Wednesday, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Paul Rudd and Mark Ruffalo were seen filming on the set in Atlanta, Georgia. Evans wore a Captain America costume, but it appears to be the original Captain America costume featured in "Captain America: The First Avenger".

Moreover, Evans' Steve Rogers no longer sports the beard he's shown in "Avengers: Infinity War" sneak peeks. The actors were also seen wearing strange devices on their hands. People then suggested that the scene they were shooting could be a flashback.

Also starring Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch and Scarlett Johansson, the fourth "Avengers" movie is due out in the United States on May 3, 2019. The superheroes will first team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy in "Avengers: Infinity War", which is set for a May 4 release in theaters across the nation.
